The Basic Check you purchased does not include a Data Guarantee and relies entirely on information supplied by third-party sources, including insurance companies. At the time you purchased the report, the vehicle had no recorded write-off marker, which is why no such marker appeared in the results.
Insurance companies sometimes update or backdate write-off records days, weeks, or even months later. When this happens, all vehicle history providers—Vcheck, HPI, Experian and others—will only show the updated information after the insurer has submitted it. Unfortunately, we cannot predict, influence, or override delayed insurer reporting.
Good, simple, value for money
I watched a YouTube person doing a car video and he had vcheck as his advertisement in the middle of the clip, I wanted a newish car so I used vcheck and have done about 6 times I think, it’s good because it keeps all the information about the cars you have checked on your account and you can look it up anytime like when I sold my wife’s car I had already done a check before I bought it and then I printed out the information for the next buyer. I’m not a trader I just like changing mine and the wife’s cars every 2 years or so to keep up with the Jones’s. I would recommend this website.

No Vehicle Valuation
Went for the full £9.99 check as I wanted the vehicle valuation. Under vehicle valuation it said milage required. This is despite having the correct mileage listed.
I sent a message with regards to this and they didn't bother replying.
Not impressed.
Had response from VCheck. Report now has price. After looking at other reviews it seems the direct contact function is not working correctly.

The valuation feature is working as expected. Once you’ve purchased the report, please enter the current mileage in the box provided under the Valuation section on the report page.
I noticed there was a recent MOT test, so I’ve gone ahead and added the mileage to the valuation section for you. If you reopen the report, you should now be able to see the valuation displayed.
Additionally, could you please confirm how you contacted us previously? We haven’t found any prior correspondence from you regarding this matter.

No added fees
I needed some clarification for a cat s vehicle I was planning on purchasing. V Check was excellent in my opinion as it gave me all of the relevant information for me including photos and the best thing was there weren't any hidden fees.

Trusted reports but can be delayed by third party providers
I have edited my review, and thank you for your response.
I paid for a bundle, submitted car details and received a link by email that, when clicked, said 'The report has been disabled, Please try agin later.' I tried later and received the same response many times.
I phoned [on the number provided] and received a message saying they could not answer the phones right now but please leave a message, I left two messages by email and phone but did not receive a response - I was in a hurry as I wanted to bid on the car in question at an auction that day.
I have been refunded and I have used Vtech in the past with excellent results.
While I appreciate there may have been incomplete records from a third party a few simple tweaks would stop people worrying about what is going on - rather than a statement that the report has been ‘disabled’ a link to FAQs to explain what 'disabled' might mean and how long it might take resolve would help.
In regard to not having a customer care phone line then perhaps remove the telephone number from the email saying 'If you have any questions contact us at (email address) or call us at (telephone number).'
However, I am satisfied. I was refunded, but I would have preferred to use Vtech as I am familiar with their reports and I trust them and will use them again.

Given that you have also raised the issue here and left a negative review, we will go ahead and issue a full refund for your bundle. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
To clarify, we are not out of business. The issue you experienced was due to incomplete data for your vehicle from Experian. As your report was covered by our Data Guarantee, we were unable to generate it instantly.
Generally speaking - VCheck is well worth the money
I wanted to check a few vehicle before I went to look at it.
The vehicle had been a Cat S write off. Photos of the car before repair showed that there had been significant damage.
NOTE - there are not always photos of write off damage. The second car was a Sat S write off - but no photos. A lot of good information in one place.
