So, following on from my review of the 28th August I received an auto generated response on the 2nd September advising me that the company would contact me direct. Since then nothing! It’s a disgrace!
The company owes me £3640. We will next month have a combined age of 164. Is this really the way to treat people?It is time that the 3 directors and shareholders of this company stepped up and did the right thing and took charge of the situation instead of relying on hiding behind computer generated messages.
I have even emailed them again with my details and they still refuse to respond.

I would strongly advise anyone considering using Value Added Travel / Luxury Holidays to think very carefully before handing over their money.

In my experience, the customer service has significantly gone downhill. The communication is extremely poor, and once you have a problem, it feels as though you are simply left to deal with it yourself.

Calls are not returned. Emails go unanswered. Trying to get a straightforward response from management is incredibly frustrating. You can make repeated attempts to contact them and still be left with absolutely no meaningful communication.

What is particularly disappointing is the lack of care shown towards customers once there is an issue. A company should be there to support its customers when something goes wrong, not make them chase repeatedly for answers.

My experience has been that getting a response when you are trying to resolve a problem is extremely difficult.

The contrast between the communication when you are trying to make a booking and the communication afterwards is deeply disappointing.

If you are considering using this company, do your research first and make sure you are completely comfortable with their terms, refund procedures and customer service arrangements before handing over any money.

In my experience, when there is a problem, you can be left feeling completely ignored and extremely frustrated.

Very poor communication. Very poor customer service. Very disappointing management.

I would not use this company again based on my experience.

I would give ZERO stars if I could.

My experience with Value Added Travel / Luxury Holidays has been absolutely appalling. What should have been a straightforward holiday booking and refund has turned into months of stress, frustration and chasing a company that appears completely unwilling to communicate.

I am still waiting for a refund of £9,565 after more than 16 weeks, and despite repeated attempts to contact the company, I am still receiving no meaningful response.

Emails are ignored. Phone calls are not returned. Promised callbacks never happen. You are left constantly chasing for updates, with absolutely no confidence that anyone is actually dealing with your situation.

This is disgusting customer service and completely unacceptable behaviour for a travel company.

When you take a customer's money, you have a responsibility to communicate properly, honour your commitments and deal with problems professionally. Instead, my experience has been one of being repeatedly ignored and left without answers.

The most frustrating part is that assurances and timescales are given, yet when those deadlines pass, you are left chasing again and again. Over 16 weeks waiting for a refund and still no proper response is simply unacceptable.

A holiday is a major financial commitment, and customers should not have to spend months fighting to get answers or money they are owed.

I genuinely cannot understand how a company can think it is acceptable to treat customers this way. This has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish.

I would NEVER use Value Added Travel / Luxury Holidays again, and based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering booking with this company to think very carefully and do their research first.

Disgusting communication. Disgusting customer service. Months of waiting. No meaningful response.

16+ weeks waiting for £9,565 to be refunded and still being ignored.

I find it extremely disappointing that Value Added Travel can respond to a public review within hours, yet has failed to respond properly to us for 16 weeks regarding our outstanding refund.

For 16 weeks, we have been trying to obtain answers through emails, telephone calls and messages, with little to no meaningful communication from your company. We have been left chasing repeatedly, with no clear explanation, no satisfactory update and no resolution.

Yet, remarkably, after we publicly shared our experience, you were able to respond within approximately 20 hours. This raises a very serious question: why was it so difficult to communicate with us directly when we were trying to resolve this privately?

I would also like to address the communication we received only yesterday. After waiting approximately 16 weeks for our refund, we were offered a part refund, while being told that we would have to wait even longer for the remainder. Given the length of time we have already been waiting, this is completely unacceptable.

This is not simply about the money. It is about the way we have been treated as customers. When a holiday is cancelled through no fault of the customer, you would reasonably expect a professional travel company to communicate clearly, deal with the matter promptly and keep its customers informed. That has not been our experience.

Instead, we have had to repeatedly chase your company for information, while receiving very little meaningful correspondence. Then, once a negative public review was posted, a response was provided almost immediately.

I want to be absolutely clear: based on our experience, I will not use Value Added Travel again. I will also be sharing our experience honestly with others so that potential customers can make their own informed decision about whether they wish to use your services.

I sincerely hope that Value Added Travel now deals with this matter properly and provides a clear explanation of exactly when the full outstanding refund will be paid.

After 16 weeks of waiting, we should not have had to resort to leaving a public review simply to get your attention.

Absolutely shocking company

Holding on to people's money for as long as you can then offering a part payment 16 weeks later. And then telling us that you are waiting to be paid back by the Rixos Abu Dhabi. We have no choice but to contact them directly regarding this issue. Even though I don't believe that a billion pound company will be withholding refunds for a rediculus amount of time. I believe it to be value added Travel profiting from people's money for as long as they can.

Once again booked a trip with Value Added Travel. There service and attention to detail in getting my holiday booked was excellent.
They helped me find the cheapest option for my trip.
I have have used them for many years and have always found them to always have the best prices.

Sufiyan was an absolute delight. Both professional and deeply knowledgeable. Booked a holiday to the Maldives and we had a faultless trip from start to finish. Would recommend Value Added Travel to all friends and family. Absolute 5 star.

We have had several fabulous experiences with Value Added Travel but we are now very disappointed with their recent service. We booked to go to RAK in May and were unable to travel due to the conflict. We were told it would be 12/14 weeks to be refunded and although we have received a partial refund we are still waiting for our full refund 17 weeks later which is totally unacceptable. We have emailed several times and have had no response. Will think twice about using them again.

Really didn’t want to name the person who has ensured the smooth and enjoyable experience of over £100K of holidays over the last couple of years but it is Sufyaan.

Sufyaan has worked tirelessly to ensure we get bang for our buck beating literally every other holiday agents across the board.

Nearly lost approximately £20K at christmas due to a unforeseen health related issue which was also saved due to Sufyaans diligence and expertise.

I am shocked to see all these 1 star reviews in all honesty.

Communication is always clear and concise in regards to updates from airlines, hotels etc so you’re never left with questions.

I have booked a Dubai holiday with Azeem, who was very helpful from start to finish. He came back to me with various options to help me find the right option for my family . Thank you Azeem

I had booked a holiday last year to Dubai. Unfortunately due my wife's medical condition we had to cancel last minute. Pooja from Value added travel was extremely understanding and sorted out a travel voucher for us to rebook when my wife was able to travel again.

We have just used it to rebook our trip 1 year later. Pooja has been amazing throughout. She remembered who we were and did everything to make the rebooking process easy.

I booked my Honeymoon to Mauritius through Value Added Travel, with Louis, and I couldn’t have had a better experience. The holiday itself was amazing, the hotel that Louis had recommended was amazing and the service was incredible. The staff at the hotel knew of Louis and spoke about him like a friend, which made the experience all the better. I’ll be using the company and Louis again.

My wife, our child and I recently booked a trip with Value Added Travel and have just returned. I wanted to share our experience because we’ve genuinely never received such great service, both before travelling and throughout the trip.

My husband and I have booked a number of trips to Dubai with this company over the past 10 years or so. The booking process is always so easy, staff are always so helpful and friendly. The hotel recommendations are by far always the best. They also provide the best price by a mile. Our holidays always run smoothly and on occasions have received a room upgrade 😀

Amazing customer service again ! After my trip was cancelled to Dubai the team contacted me to let me know my options , that same day my holiday was changed to my new choice no stress or fuss , I have used value added travel for quite a few years and I will continue to do so, it’s nice to have the reassurance that everything is always sorted and all of my holidays have been amazing

Great company. Used many times in the past. My holiday was impacted by the conflict, I accepted the credit note so we was able to book alternative holiday a few weeks later rather than waiting for a refund. Just got back from Mauritius, had an amazing time. Thank you for your advice Sol. You’ll be hearing from us soon to book our 2027 trip.

Recommended by a friend a couple of years ago and have made several bookings. Spoken to both Louis and Azeem and they’re always so helpful. Will definitely be booking again soon
