DO NOT ADD A CARD TO TAPU TAPU
This rating is in relation to our recent experience at volcano bay, there Tapu Tapu system. The poor service received when things went wrong. And the extremely poor guest services encounter. Whilst at volcano bay on the Thurs 23rd August wee decided to rent an $8 locker from one of the locker cabins onsite using the Tapu Tapu system which I had linked a credit card to. I tried twice without success to open a locker directly via this system. However in the same cabin the had another machine whereby you could either pay by Tapu Tapu and it would assign a locker to open or you could pay in cash. I treks this system which took a fee from my but wouldn't open a locker. My partner then rented a locker in cash whilst I went to seek assistance. I caught up with a young lady called Silkia who managed to open the locker that I had paid after a few attempts and intimated that the system was temperamental. She took my name and told me she would call through to guest services and give them my name with regards to refunding the $8 for the locker I couldn't access. At the end off or day I went to guest services to enquire about the refund. I was told by a member of staff called Mike they hadn't recieve a call, my partner asked if they had a member off staff called Silkia and he wouldn't answer. He then went out back for close to 10 minutes. He came back sat down and looked at a screen and told me that I had 2 pending transactions and o ff payment had gone through and this was the cash transaction. I explained that the 2 pending were the failed attempts and the paid transaction was the one that would be charged to my card. But he wasn't having any of it. He gave me a card and said that of the moon by did come of my card I should call the number on the card. This was purely to get rid of me, or he wasn't very efficient at his job. Very of service all round from the relations teams. Even worse from Tapu Tapu. Do not assign any cards to this system as you are likely to get fleeced and end up with a poor service experience
