Il metodo è interessante, ma nella pratica non fa ciò che promette. (guadagnare? penso sia l'obiettivo che porta qualcuno a iscriversi a quella che dovrebbe essere la miglior scuola esistente)
Molte strategie che vengono fornite tramite il milliondollardatabase sono orribili e quindi ti mettono già davanti a un bivio, usare le strategie o provare a implementarne di proprie?
Di fatto il metodo da la sensazione di sviluppare strategie profittevoli, il problema è che non si danno consigli su come evitare gli errori più comuni e anzi vieni spinto ad andare live il prima possibile, generando ovviamente delle perdite.
Perdite che recupererai magicamente (dubito) acquistando altri pacchetti altri corsi o eventi.
Sono 3 anni che cerco di guadagnare e certo ho avuto modo di vedere dei guadagni ma il gioco non vale la candela.
Il supporto è peggio che avere a che fare con degli psicologi che ovviamente conoscono tutti i problemi del metodo e hanno le risposte pronte per tutto. Una volta hai sbagliato a settare i parametri, un altra hai messo a mercato delle strategie instabili ecc... nessuno ti spiega cosa fare prima di commettere errori.
finchè poi perdi fiducia, o continui a provarci arrivando a non capire cosa funziona e cosa no.
Mi dispiace dirlo, proprio perchè ho investito e ci credevo, ma per me è ridicolo che mi ritrovo a cercare su youtube e a trovare un riscontro più valido di un corso pagato fior fior di soldi.
Ripeto, per chi vuole un'infarinatura teorica ci sono dei concetti che funzionano però per me resta tutta teoria. Nella pratica vi insegnano un metodo che facilmente vi porta a fare overfitting (cosa sconsigliatissima), e infatti io stesso ho implementato algoritmi che considerano solo una parte delle nozioni spiegate nei videocorsi.
I sistemi inoltre vi fanno pensare che un giorno le perdite accumulate torneranno, quante risate.
Ve lo dice uno che è programmatore e ha sviluppato in autonomia più di 200 algoritmi con approcci diversi e che ci ha creduto.
State attenti in generale, non dalla ungeracademy ma nel trading e non fidatevi troppo di chi vende i corsi. in generale se volete potete trovare un sacco di risorse interessanti sul trading algoritmico su youtube, peccato non aver avuto questo consiglio in passato.
La ungeracademy è pur sempre un azienda, non gliene frega molto se guadagnate. a momenti fanno fatica a spiegarvi bene pure i software che vendono. (troverete una mia recensione più vecchia molto positiva, era quella prima di capire realmente come funziona il mondo del trading :), poi fate voi)

Un corso eccellente, in linea con l'alta qualità dell'Academy. Il percorso è strutturato con estrema logica: si parte dalle basi con OPT Easy per poi scendere nel vivo dell’operatività con la Master, affrontando le strutture in opzioni in modo pratico e concreto.
È un percorso estremamente utile sia per i principianti che per chi ha già un livello avanzato. Si rivela il complemento perfetto al trading sistematico, ideale per chi cerca una diversificazione operativa reale ed efficace. A differenza dei corsi sul sistematico, qui il focus è la replica meccanica di strategie già testate con successo dal team. Operativo live da gennaio 2026 con la Easy e, da poco, anche con la Master.

This is the second review I have written for UA. The first review was good because I was in the middle of the course and they told me they would give me free software called Bias Finder if I wrote a good review. So, I wrote a good review, and honestly, at the time, I thought the Algo Fast Course I was taking was good.

But that was more than six months ago, and I have a very different opinion now. Specifically, I've had a very poor experience with the algos they provide as part of the course. The MDD (Million Dollar Database) comes standard with the course. But once you complete the course they push very hard to sell you additional modules. These include the UPD (Unger Personal Database) and the VIP database of student strategies.

The strategies they sell as part of the course violate every rule they teach in the course about not curve fitting. In the course you are taught that simpler strategies are always better. Yet the strategies in the UPD, the MDD, and the VIP database (more than 200 strategies in total) are all fairly complex, with as many as 10, 15, 20 inputs or more that can be optimized. These are clearly not simple strategies, and with all those inputs to optimize, all of these strategies are terribly curve fit. How do I know? Because all of the equity curves, built on in-sample data, are beautiful, but they all break down on out-of-sample data. They do not trade well after they are released because they are so over-optimized, which UA constantly teaches is the biggest sin in trading! So the strategies are all junk; they do not trade well on live, out-of-sample data.

Secondly, they do not include trading costs (slippage and commissions) in their backtests. This is a huge red flag, as everyone knows that slippage and commissions can add significantly to costs, and cause the equity curve to break down.

Finally, most of their strategies are built on shorter time frames - 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes sometimes one hour. This is a common trick to get more signals and more trades, but it also adds a lot to your trading costs, which is probably why they only show equity curves without the trading costs.

In summary, the UA strategies do not follow the UA course rules for strategy development. They are complicated, extremely curve fit, do not include trading costs, and trade poorly on out-of-sample data. So, I feel deceived. I believe UA makes money selling their courses, but I would be surprised if any of the students or UA staff make money trading the strategies they sell to their students.

My Response to Unger Academy's reaction to my review:

You absolutely did request a review in exchange for the Bias Finder software. I was happy to give that review at the time because I was happy with the course at that time. But to claim that you did not request the review is just false. And to call it a "gift" after students pay upwards of US $6,000 for the course is an insult. For that price the Bias Finder software should be included in the basic course.

Regarding the strategies, neither I nor anyone else should deploy the strategies blindly. That's why I evaluated every UA strategy and discovered that they had all been curve fit and over optimized. It is quite easy to look at the equity curves of the strategies that you sell and see that they perform poorly on out-of-sample data.

This is what bothers me most. The course constantly warns of the dangers of curve fitting, yet the strategies that you sell to your students are terribly curve fit. It leads me to believe that you are more interested in creating pretty equity curves than building tradable strategies for your students.

Moreover, you say these strategies are not "plug-and-play". That's fine, but don't you think the strategies you publish should at least trade well on out-of-sample data? Also, why haven't you included trading costs? And finally, the Unger Personal Database does not come with source code. So how are we supposed to turn those strategies into something that is tradeable? You cannot evaluate and adapt a strategy that has no source code. And I find it hard to believe that Andrea Unger trades these strategies personally.

Why not just admit that your strategies are not tradeable and stop digging yourself deeper. And you never explained why you don't include trading costs in your strategies. As an algo trading education company it seems to me that you should follow your own development methodology. If you had done so you would not be publishing and selling strategies that are terribly over optimized. And if you were honest about your equity curves they should include commission and slippage costs.

Finally, your attempt to suggest that maybe I didn't follow the development rules or should have talked to my coach is a non-argument. UA is the one that did not follow its own development approach.

Probabilmente non ho capito bene quando mi è stato venduto, ma spendere 5000 € per un corso online che ti spiega come trattare le opzioni su una piattaforma incomprensibile e complicata da usare se non sei un trader professionista ,dimenticavo l'assistenza di un ottimo coach Gabriele, peccato per poco più di due operazioni
Esperienza costosa e negativa, che comunque anche sapendo usare la piattaforma prima di rientrare dei soldi spesi, ammesso che le operazioni vadano a buon fine, si dovrebbe investire cifre vicino ai 50 k .Sapevatelo.....

Buongiorno a tutti, vorrei ringraziare lo staff della Unger academy in particolare il dr. Gabriele Chinni il quale in veste di coach e' stato particolarmente paziente, preciso e bravo direi nell 'insegnamento del nuovo corso Opt formula easy e master. Prezioso nella implementazione della piattaforma TWS di I/B broker che , opinione del tutto personale, non troppo intuitiva per i neofiti. Un bel corso, della serie learning by doing su argomento ostico come le opzioni che rappresentano ancora oggi un oggetto misterioso agli investitori per la complessita', ma che rivelano enormi potenzialita' se usate con il controllo del rischio . E qui i miei complimenti a F. Placci per aver " ingabbiato" e automatizzato delle strategie con controlli strategici regolari , non oppressivi . Scusate se e' poco...Da consigliare agli indecisi ? Of course, certamente si'.

Sto seguendo il percorso AlgoTrader Fast + Da 0 a Live in 8 settimane.
Tutti i corsi sono costruiti con cura e attenzione. I video e i materiali a supporto sono sempre di facile fruizione e nonostante la complessità di certi argomenti, le spiegazioni sono chiarissime e rendono la comprensione molto semplice. I volumi cartacei permettono di approfondire ulteriormente i contenuti multimediali che comunque sono già incredibilmente esaustivi. Il Personal Coach è un elemento di enorme valore aggiunto poiché consente di mettere immediatamente in pratica e verificare quanto progressivamente appreso, correggendo da subito eventuali errori e togliendo i dubbi che possono sorgere.
Non è però un percorso che si può prendere alla leggera o con superficialità. Serve dedizione, tempo e impegno per una disciplina rigorosa e complessa.

Un percorso strutturato e ben definito per gli aspiranti trader.

Il percorso della Unger Academy è molto chiaro e ben organizzato. C'è moltissimo da studiare e da mettere in pratica, per cui bisogna iniziare con l'idea che senza un reale impegno, dedizione e tempo da dedicare non si va da nessuna parte.

Il coach che mi ha seguito durante i mesi di affiancamento si è rivelato estremamente competente sul lato tecnico, e non da meno, anche su quello personale, dove mi ha tranquillizzato in un momento dove vedevo troppo da fare in poco tempo.

Ad ora ho quasi terminato lo studio "base" del corso e ho iniziato ad operare in demo, mentre in autonomia continuo a studiare seguendo i miei ritmi.

Da aspirante trader discrezionale, ma con le problematiche di tempo da dedicare all'operatività, sto trovando in questo corso di trading algoritmico una validissima strada per "delegare" l'operatività alla macchina e dedicare il mio tempo e le energie nello studio.

Delusa!! Dopo aver visto un loro Webinar sulle opzioni e fissato un’appuntamento telefonico (confermato!) per avere ulteriori info sul metodo, e dopo aver compilato un questionario atto a capire se possedevo le caratteristiche richieste, mi è stato cancellato unilateralmente l’appuntamento perché a loro dire avrei dovuto investire un’importo fra i 10 e 15k.
Non entro nel merito, ma allora ditelo prima che ci vuole questo minimo e non fate perdere tempo con questionari inutili! Mettete questa clausola ben evidenziata come primo requisito

Professionalità e organizzazione impeccabili

Ottima esperienza di apprendimento con la Unger Academy. A metà ottobre '25 mi sono iscritto al corso AlgoTrader Fast e, ad oggi, sono in piena fase di apprendimento. Inoltre, con anche l'affiancamento di un coach della Unger Academy che mi segue passo passo, sono già virtualmente operativo su un conto demo fornito dal Broker. Non nego che il percorso è impegnativo e che sto dedicando molto del mio tempo libero ma, in questa fase di apprendimento e per uno come me che non ha mai fatto trading in vita sua e vuole raggiungere i risultati desiderati, è inevitabile. Davanti a me ho un cammino ancora lungo ma il supporto della Unger Academy è eccezionale ed il mio entusiasmo grande

Il sistema ideato da Unger è molto valido con dei fondamenti logici solidi.
È un percorso che necessita tempo e dedizione adatto a chi sa di dover mettere a dura prova la propria perseveranza per apprendere strumenti non immediati ma che permettono di acquisire un vantaggio competitivo e nel medio termine buoni risultati

I ordered the book and eventually purchased the course. The content of the course completely exceeded my expectations. It has everything you need. I started trading according to the Unger method very soon, and the results improved rapidly. I can recommend Unger Academy to anyone who is willing to devote a lot of time to studying, is persistent, technically proficient, thinks systematically, and can work independently.
