⚠️ BEWARE

⚠️ BEWARE: PREDATORY TACTICS & DISHONEST PRICING ⚠️
I would give zero stars if I could. My friend walked in on March 24, 2026, to buy a car advertised at £24,995, and walked out a victim of what I can only describe as blatant mis-selling and financial trickery.
While my friend was busy signing the mountain of paperwork, this dealership sneakily hiked the price by £2,000, bringing the total to £26,995 without my informed consent. When my friend caught the "error" later, their excuse was a pathetic attempt to justify an unwanted warranty—a warranty they never properly explained and, frankly, my friend never agreed to.
The absolute kicker? The car is only a year old and still under full Toyota manufacturer warranty. They literally charged me two grand for something my friend already had for free. It is a redundant, useless, and disgusting "add-on" designed solely to fleece the customer.
Why you should stay away:
• Zero Transparency: They hide costs in the fine print of finance agreements.
• Predatory Sales: They rely on you not double-checking every single digit while they rush you through the process.
• Unethical Behavior: Selling a secondary warranty on a car already covered by the manufacturer is bottom-of-the-barrel behavior.
I am currently in a formal dispute with the finance company and will be escalating this as far as possible. Do not trust a word these people say. If you value your money and your sanity, buy your car literally anywhere else. This isn't just a "bad experience"—it’s a calculated trap.
STAY AWAY.
Would you like me to help your friend draft a formal letter to the Financial Ombudsman or a specific email to the dealership's Dealer Principal to demand a refund of that warranty

• Misleading Pricing and Hidden Charges Added Without Consent

Absolutely shocking experience with this dealership.

I purchased a car on 24 March 2026 which was advertised at £24,995. After signing and checking the finance agreement, I discovered the price had been increased to £26,995 — an extra £2,000 added without my clear knowledge or informed consent.

I was later told this was for a warranty, but this was never properly explained at the time of sale. I did not knowingly agree to this. To make matters worse, the car is only one year old and already covered by a manufacturer warranty from Toyota, making this extra charge completely unnecessary.

This raises serious concerns about mis-selling and lack of transparency. Customers should not be put in a position where additional costs are quietly added into finance agreements without proper explanation.

I am now formally disputing this with the finance company and will escalate the matter further if needed.

I strongly advise anyone considering buying from this dealership to double-check every single detail before signing anything. Do not rely on verbal assurances.

Very poor and disappointing experience.

Very disappointing experience. Price change after enquiring.

Very disappointing experience.

I enquired about a vehicle and felt there was little genuine customer care; the focus seemed purely on securing a sale. When I asked about the negative reviews online, I was told they were simply “unhappy people,” which didn’t feel like a professional or accountable response.

More concerning, the car I was interested in was increased by £1,000 the day after I confirmed I would be booking a visit. Had I not been paying attention, I could have easily missed the price change. That raises serious questions about transparency. When I asked about this, he said he'll find out and get back to me (He didn't).

Communication over the phone was also unprofessional.

Based on my experience, I would advise others to proceed with caution.

I recently had a very positive experience with UK Wheels Limited.

A special thank you to Tahir for his outstanding service. His knowledge about the vehicles was impressive and he took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently. It was obvious that he genuinely understands the cars he is selling and cares about helping customers make the right decision.

He was attentive, professional and approachable throughout the process, which made everything feel smooth and stress free. I felt confident and well informed thanks to his guidance.

I would happily recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a car.

My 84-year-old mum was SCAMMED by these muppets

My 84-year-old mum purchased a car from this dealership in June 2025. From the beginning, the vehicle had issues, which we reported within the first six months. Instead of resolving the matter professionally, our concerns were dismissed and we were treated in a rude and unhelpful manner.

The faults were never properly addressed and the condition of the car worsened over time until it became undriveable. We were left with no option but to pay £1,200 for private repairs.

This situation is extremely concerning given that the vehicle was being driven by an elderly person. A car sold by a dealership should be safe, roadworthy and of satisfactory quality. We do not believe this standard was met.

As the issues were reported within six months of purchase and not resolved, we are now taking formal action under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to recover our losses.

We are very disappointed by the lack of responsibility and customer care shown throughout this experience. Buyers should AVOIDDD

I bought a car from UK Wheels Ltd about four months ago and the experience has been excellent. The team were very professional, the cars they have are high quality, and everything was handled properly from start to finish.

I’ve had no issues with the car at all, and their after-sales support has been solid. I’d definitely recommend them.

Worst experience

I recently part-exchanged my car and attempted to purchase a Nissan Juke (LV68JVD), and sadly the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. I travelled over an hour to view the car after arranging the visit with Lee. I even called 1 hour ahead of arrival so the car could be prepared, yet when I arrived it wasn’t ready at all. The first thing I noticed was mould on the rear seat and a strong damp smell. This was brushed off as “someone leaving the window open,” with a promise it would be cleaned before collection.
During the short test drive, the brakes squeaked loudly every time I used them, which was dismissed as “the car not being driven for a while.” Despite these warnings, I left a deposit but received no confirmation, no follow-up, and no explanation of next steps until I chased them myself.
I waited all weekend with silence, until I went to the Edgware branch to complete the sale. I was told it would take an hour but ended up waiting two hours in the cold with my two young children. When the car finally arrived, it came without the spare key and without the logbook, meaning I wasn’t even the legal keeper. For days afterwards I was calling both branches with no updates, no call-backs, and completely inconsistent information.
Looking back, I should’ve gone with my gut. The atmosphere felt off, as if staff knew the car wasn’t right. The looks exchanged between them made me feel like they were aware of issues I wasn’t meant to notice. Overall the whole sale felt iffy and unprofessional.
They had already deducted £750 from my vehicle, which I accepted. But charging me full asking price plus admin fees for a car in this condition was unacceptable.
After purchasing the vehicle, an independent mechanic inspected it. His report found:
Slight oil leak at rear of engine
No washer fluid present
Power steering very heavy
Offside rear window seal damaged
Rattling/chirping noise – belt/camshaft inspection needed
Brakes squeaking
Petrol flap release not working
On top of these mechanical issues, the mould and damp in the car is a vehicle fault, not a cosmetic issue. It is a health hazard, especially with children in the car. Money should have been deducted, and it was shocking that the dealership still demanded full asking price for a vehicle in this condition.
When I called the Bishop’s Stortford branch with the mechanic’s findings, Stuart was extremely dismissive. He even said, “excuse my non-emotional approach,” showing no empathy, no apology, and no accountability. Every point I raised was met with excuses or inaccurate explanations. He also told me that if I wanted the car cleaned, I “should have asked,” despite this being a promise made by the dealership. Basic presentation should be standard when selling a car, and it should not fall on the customer to request what was already agreed. I was simply told to email everything. A company dealing with people’s hard-earned money and family safety should show far more care.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I was entitled to reject the car. They initially tried to instruct me on what to do, but dealerships do not decide the customer’s rights. If I had chosen to insist on repairs instead, that would have been entirely my decision.
Everything I have written is fully supported by evidence. I have email receipts, phone logs, and records showing exactly how this situation was handled, how many times I had to chase them, and the lack of accountability throughout.
Eventually, after sending the mechanic’s report and repeatedly following up, my part-exchange vehicle was returned. Someone speaking on my behalf was even wrongly labelled “aggressive,” which was untrue — he was simply asking reasonable questions about faults that should never have been present in a car sold at full price.
I read many positive reviews, but my experience didn’t match them at all. The lack of communication, poor preparation, dismissiveness, and the condition of the vehicle all fell far below acceptable standards. I wouldn’t want anyone else — especially families looking for a safe, reliable car — to go through what I did.

Avoid this company

This is probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. If you are considering purchasing a car from this company, I highly recommend that you look elsewhere.

I purchased a car four months ago, and it has been an ordeal ever since. A few days after purchasing, I noticed that the car was pulling to the left and that one of the lights was not working. I called them, and their salesperson, Jordan, told me to take it to a mechanic to get the wheel alignment and the bulb fixed, assuring me that they would reimburse the costs (14 day dealership warranty).

Since I was already going to the mechanic, I decided to have a full service and health check done. They found that one of the brake discs and pads was severely worn, and that the brake fluid had a high moisture content. I asked the mechanic to rectify these issues immediately, as the car was essentially unsafe to drive.

When I mentioned this to the dealership, they refused to contribute anything to the costs, stating that I should have called them first for approval and that they would have preferred me to take it to their own mechanic (I definitely wouldn’t have felt comfortable driving >2hrs to their mechanic anyways, given the state of the brakes). Even when I showed Jordan a picture of the very worn-out disc and brake pad, he questioned the authenticity of the photo, claiming it could have been from any car — essentially accusing me of trying to swindle them. Nonetheless, I conceded on the brake issue, as I admit I probably should have spoken to them first before having that repair done.

However, to this day I have not received any reimbursement for the wheel alignment. I have probably called them over 20 times and sent countless messages — it has been extremely frustrating. Most calls end with someone taking my details and promising to call me back, but no one ever does. On some occasions, I’m told the refund is being processed, but it never happens. I have personally messaged Jordan multiple times; he always says he will chase it up, but again, nothing ever happens. My most recent message has been completely ignored.

Another frustrating issue involved the car’s MOT. Jordan booked an MOT for us because it was due to expire within six months of purchase. My wife took the car to the specified mechanic, but when the MOT was done, she was asked to pay, as the garage had no indication of it being covered by UK Wheels. I had to interrupt my busy clinic at work to call UK Wheels and get the situation resolved. This incident just sums up the atrocious communication from this company.

Overall, I strongly implore anyone considering buying a car from here to look elsewhere!

Avoid this dealership at all costs

Avoid this dealership at all costs. They sold me a car with no catalytic converter, an engine light that came on the next day, and a tyre fitted the wrong way round to hide illegal tread.

When I returned the car with wheel spacers hitting the arches, they carried out a fake MOT and told me I’d need to bring it back to them for all future MOTs because it was “modified” — something they never explained before the sale and still can’t properly disclose.

After going through my finance company, I returned the car again so they could fit a catalytic converter.
Instead of fixing it properly, they tried to claim the cost through my warranty (which didn’t cover it), then found a cheaper workaround that resulted in a failed repair with the engine light still on.

For 8 months I couldn’t even carry back-seat passengers safely as the suspension was so low the exhaust scraped the ground. In the end, my finance company had to take the vehicle off me.

This dealership is dishonest, unsafe, and takes zero responsibility.
