Several design flaws
I contacted AKG for a broken plastic plastic part on the right side of a pair of on ears headphones last year. It was clearly a design flaw, but they refused any assistance other than a 30% on a new pair (probably with the same design flaw). 1 year later the same exact part broke on the other side, proving my point that it was a design flaw / poor material. The sound is ok, but they do not test their gear at all. If you contact them outside your warranty, they don't do any repair and just offer you to buy new stuff that probably will break as well anyway.... shop somewhere else.
