I recently visited tower hill travel lodge in London. The hotel was very clean, very helpful staff and friendly. Excellent location for ease of traveling. Breakfast was well stocked and very tasty. Rooms and beds was comfortable, towels and bedding Provided. One problem we did have which was kind of our fault for not checking, no air con. Which made for a very uncomfortable sleep when In a heatwave. We had a fan but it really made no difference as the room was soo hot. Couldn't open the window due to the trains. I would definitely stay again when it's cooler temperatures.

Stayed at Kew bridge. Room overlooked car park, actively witnessed 3 hooded men with crow bars breaking into vans and cars at around 10 pm. Shone a light up into my face from the car park, felt unsafe and threatened. Informed reception who were oblivious to this. Asked for a refund as no longer wanted to stay. They said it happened on a regular basis have complained numerous times, as the car park they use is run by a different company cannot do anything about it. On leaving a sign had just been put up informing car thieves operate in this area.
On contacting customer service they informed clear signs are put up informing they are not responsible. No refund given.

The hotel advertised "newly renovated rooms," but that was not my experience. I booked two rooms for four nights, one for my family and one for another family travelling with us.

The carpets in both rooms had multiple discoloured stains that looked like they could have been caused by vomit or faeces. The rooms had an unpleasant smell throughout our stay, with odours seemingly coming from the bathroom drains.

I raised these concerns with staff, but they were very reluctant to help, so we had no choice but to manage as best we could during our stay.

There was also a receptionist who was extremely rude and unprofessional. I witnessed her muttering and swearing under her breath, including during breakfast service. She was aggressive not only towards my family but also towards other guests. I do not know her name, but I noticed that her colleagues celebrated her birthday on the 10th by giving her flowers and singing "Happy Birthday."

Overall, the hotel seriously needs to improve its cleanliness standards and customer service. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience.

Had to check out 4 days before my actual date. Very disgusting hotel. Extremely poor customer service, dirty worn stain bedding, blood stain mattress, faulty shower which damaged my hand, dog shit dirty rug. Extremely horrible experience avoid at all cost. Workers don't clean your room if ask they always respond by saying it's not their fault or they are busy asking you to clean or make the bed. This is not a hotel period. Hostel it is. 3am people over your head pounding the floor. Ask for tiolet roll the receptionist will ask how many rooms you got, ask for clean bedding they would say they don't have it's washing. An inspection is needed there ASAP! Went to check out receptionist took the key and sit there said nothing i had to ask her if that's it or I would of being standing there hole day. We paid for an upgraded room whose air con unit had some much dust on the filter that it could barely keep going let alone Chuck out any cold air. We were placed by the door to the lifts which constantly banged throughout the night. The revamped dinning / bar area has made the breakfast experience worse as it’s so cramped . Car parking is a lottery due to work vans parked across two bays . We enjoyed our previous visit but not this time. Staff are friendly but people of a shady appearance hanging around the entrance leering at my granddaughter’s and wife was the final straw for me .we like to have a good nights sleep, decent food and feel safe . We didn’t get any of this at Travel lodge Solihull.

This happened a few years ago now.
I booked a room at Travel lodge Hackney Central. On my arrival I noticed that the entrance door had been wedged open which was odd especially as it was starting to get dark.
There was Travel lodge employee talking to a man that was obviously a friend by the way they were talking.

I was ignored as I walked in and there wasn’t anyone at the reception desk.
I waited for what seemed like a long time then the employee that was having a chat with his pal eventually asked me if I had booked a room.
I was given my keycard and headed to my room.
As I got out of the lift I could hear lots of people talking playing music, they were all coming and going from the room across, from me spilling out into the corridor, it was some kind of party.

I felt very uncomfortable and vulnerable so phoned a taxi.
The employee didn’t ask why I was leaving as I handed in the keycard, he carried on chatting with his pal.. it was obvious that he was letting people he knew into the hotel.
I did write to complain but I didn’t get any response from Travel lodge.
The whole experience has put me off. I would definitely NEVER recommend this hotel chain.
It reminded me because of what’s being reported on the news, it doesn’t surprise me after my experience.
It’s disgusting.

I will not be using Travel Lodge again !! Completely saddened by them and their lack of compassion and empathy towards my situation.

Booked a room for my step children so they could visit their dad (my husband) as he’d just been discharged from hospital and was recovering from an acute infection and a mini stroke. Unfortunately my step daughter woke up unwell which meant they could not visit and use the room.

Contacted Travel Lodge to see if I could re book the room but they replied saying that because I had not booked a flexible ticket there was nothing they could do. I accept that I did not book a flexible ticket but was hoping for a little understanding due to the circumstances but alas none was received. Sadly I won’t be using Travel Lodge again as it’s saddened me that they have no flexibility when it comes to unforeseen circumstances

Unfortunately due the season all premier inns were full and as I had to go to hotel until flat was ready and being a Disabled person i booked a accessible room at Travelodge Poole North then moved to Travelodge Christchurch and then Travelodge Holes Bay all over a period of 4 weeks. Only Poole north had air-conditioning, the other 2 didn't and the heat was unbearable
but reception and dining room had air-conditioning but the paying customers didn't.
I was shocked that they only clean rooms after the consecutive 6th day only give clean towels if we requested.
At Travelodge Holes Bay after 8 days I requested that they clean the room and went out with my wife and when we came back only the sheets were changed but the floor on the room was the same not clean and Bathroom was as we left it.
That is UNHYGIENIC and Disgusting.

Chichester Central.
Lovely really helpful staff, clean comfortable room and fabulously situated just by the cathedral with everything Chichester has to offer on the doorstep, plus designated blue badge parking right nextdoor. Will definitely use again

Zowel in Stirling als Edinburgh zeer goed bevallen. Prima kamers, schoon, vriendelijke ontvangst, centraal en goede prijzen. Het ontbijt vond ik iets minder voor het geld maar dat was dan ook het enige kleine minpuntje

Made frequent bookings and been happy enough but recently had family issue and requested credit note /change of date. They had no goodwill at all. No loyalty. Very disappointed at their lack of help. They do not value your support. Use your money elsewhere.

I had an absolutely shocking experience at the Travelodge Newcastle Quayside on Monday night (27th July). After missing my midnight train back to Manchester, I was exhausted and stressed. I checked the app, saw rooms were available here, and took an Uber over, fully intending to book at the desk, the moment I walked in, the male receptionist bluntly told me they were fully booked. When I told him the app showed open rooms, he literally insisted and walked off into the back and ignored me. Knowing what I'd seen, I sat in the lobby and booked a room on my phone right then and there. It went through instantly.I then had to call out to get someone to come back to the front desk because the staff were in the office chatting. A female member of staff finally came out, but her attitude was incredibly hostile and rude from the second she spoke to me. When I asked how I’d just managed to book a room if they were "full," she claimed someone had just cancelled. That is total rubbish, I had been standing in the lobby the entire time and nobody had come in or phoned, to make it even worse, when I went downstairs later to get some water, I witnessed another customer walk up to the desk and book a room with zero issues.I have never been made to feel so unwelcome, embarrassed, and singled out as a paying customer. I wasn't asking for a freebie; I just needed a safe place to sleep after a terrible day of travel. There was absolutely no excuse for the way both members of staff treated me. I really hope management investigates who was on shift that night, because this was unacceptable.

Unfortunately the receptionist made an error with our booking resulting in us having to rebook the same accommodation again or we had no where else to stay. We were advised to call reservations to sort it out at a rate of 13p per minute. They advised to call customer services, but you can’t call customer services and have to email. Emailed customer services but they couldn't help as my request came after midday. Unbelievable, the worst service I have ever had from a hotelier. Don’t book it could lose you money unexpectedly!

Absolutely stinking, unfit for humanity, kettle coffee machine , un usable so dirty cardiff Alantic Wharf

I booked a stay at Hartlepool Travellodge whilst visiting Family on 13th till 17th of July. I booked for 2 separate rooms and paid the extra money to upgrade on 1 of the rooms so we wouldn't be disturbed by the outdoor train lines.
On arrival we were told by the unhelpful receptionist there were no quiet upgrade rooms available? We explained we had prebooked and paid for the room. She said all the quiet rooms were full and She couldn't do anything about it?
How does this happen in a small hotel? Very disappointed in the service and expectation of what should of been an easy stay. Will look at other better ran hotels next time. Also we were not offered a refund of the extra payment?

Not even worth one star at Bangor travellodge
No warm running water, room far too hot and had to argue for a fan as apparently we should have had one already in the room, faulty chair leaving toddler to get hurt, rude member of staff on reception plus more and followed complaints process to be ignored.

The experience with the staff for the last 4 weeks from management to front staff has been excellent we have really enjoyed are stay everyone was friendly helpful and everyone deserves a pat on the back

I have actually rebooked this morning for the right dates and this time I had chance to check the dates which did not happen yesterday!

I spent all day from 2pm - 10pm last night waiting for an advisor on your online chat and also from 7am this morning until now 3pm. I was told not to refresh my screen which I have not done and still nothing, this is beyond a joke! I have now had to pay over £1,000 for a silly mistake, had a check page come up, I would of known it was the wrong date, which did not happen yesterday when I made the booking!

I spoke to an advisors again just now on your number, again advised that I would need to wait for my email to come back and also complete another form with case number and hopefully you will be able to change my booking. I know this booking I have made, which is non refundable, but mistakes are made and unfortunately I had made one yesterday, due to not be able to check on a screen!

The advisor today also said, no one will be there to answers my online chat, she had only on a couple of occasions seen anybody there! What a joke!

I hope you can understand my predicament and also my elderly parents who are also not able to afford this unexpected mistake.

I will take this up with trading standards, very frustrating that I cannot speak to anybody as this needed to be sorted as soon as the mistake had been made!

I have just had read my email through and I have booked the wrong dates, how this has happened I do not know as I won't even be her in the country then. It is for three room and the date should be the week before 23rd July - 25th July for my nephews wedding, the booking a for my parents and my daughter, I cannon understand how this happened. Please are you able to help as I cannot afford to rebook and lose my booking. This was a genuine mistake and I hope you understand and can change my booking. I am not sure if I can cancel this through my credit card?

I have spoke to customer services and they have advised to contact you as you may be able to change this for me.

Very disappointing stay at Travelodge Balham on 12 July.

Our room had no air conditioning and, when we arrived, the temperature was already above 32°C. To make matters worse, the windows could not be opened, so there was virtually no ventilation. The room was unbearably hot and completely unsuitable for a comfortable night's sleep.

This was well below the standard we have come to expect from Travelodge. A room at this temperature, with no air conditioning and no way to let fresh air in, is simply unacceptable. It significantly impacted our stay and left us extremely disappointed.
