The instructors demonstrated a high level of knowledge and professionalism throughout the course. They were consistently approachable and provided guidance when required, while still allowing me the independence to plan and complete tasks on my own. This structure gave me valuable hands‑on experience and significantly strengthened my problem‑solving and planning skills.

I also benefited from observing more advanced students and discussing their work during breaks, which helped broaden my understanding and accelerated my learning.

Overall, this was a well‑designed and effectively delivered course. The instructors created an environment that supported both skill development and confidence building, and I have gained competencies that exceeded my initial expectations.

Completed the 2 week plastering course with trades training school, was hard graft tbh but very enjoyable.
Ant goes over in detail technique and the best way for you to put plaster on your surface.
After the course I feel more than confident that I can carry out plastering to a very good standard.
I hope to return to do the tiling course with Ant in the future and I would definitely recommend here for courses even for beginners.

I did the two week plastering course and really enjoyed it. It’s a very practical course so you learn a lot within the time. The teachers, Ant and Ralph, give loads of support and encouragement. Would definitely recommend.

Hands on training backed by great theory.

Booked the 1 week plumbing course and by the end of the we felt confident in the new skills we learned. We even booked onto to complete the 2 week course which offers a City & Guilds accreditation.

Highly recommend to people looking to develop new trade skills.

As someone that has wanted to learn to plaster for many years for my own diy projects the 5 day plastering course has been fantastic and great value for money.
Antony and his team are brilliant and make the training really enjoyable.

Went last week for a plastering the course it’s called intensive for a reason 😂 u learn a lot with the tutors Ralph and Anthony craicing lads and if you are going wrong they tell you and give plenty detail into how to do it properly aye will be back again that’s for sure recommend 👍

I had a very good experience with Trades Training School. The course was well organised and the trainer explained everything clearly. The practical training was very helpful and gave me confidence to start working in the trade. The staff were friendly and supportive throughout the course. I attended the 3 day venetian plastering course and it was great Anthony was very good at explaining all the stages and process to get the finishes of all the different products. This is the second course I have attached at the Trades training school Edinburgh and I would highly recommend 👌

I’d fully recommend if you want to learn in any of the trades they have on offer to just go for it.The minute you walk in you are made to feel welcomed in a comfortable environment, the teaching was second to none & Ant had so much time & patience to help, not only that you could have a laugh while learning & enjoying the whole experience.

I spent a week learning plumbing under Iain's guidance, and it was a fantastic experience. The course was not only fun but also provided an ideal setting for expanding my skillset, thanks to Iain's exceptional teaching. I'm seriously thinking about returning next year.

An amazing training experience.

Completed venetian plaster microcement & a 1 week plaster course. Everthing was explained, hands on training with superb trainers. They also have an amazing support system following completion of any training to support you through any work you are tackling.

Excellent hands-on tuition and attention to technical details, really enjoyed my first course and will be back for more. After 1 week I went from zero to tiling round a sink, a wall with a window and a kitchen splashback 👍

I was a bit apprehensive trying something new after 35years of plastering but I soon felt at ease and met some really nice people . Anthony was really knowledgeable and explained everything clearly and everyone within the school very friendly. It’s given me the confidence to try something new
