I feel obligated to post a review for TLT Law and urge potential clients to stay away. In my 30+ professional career, i have never dealt with such incompetence. Sure, we are all used to slow conveyancing solicitors, but these guys take the biscuit. The delays almost lost my purchase. They lost signed forms in their post room (even though it was sent recorded delivery). They did not respond emails from my own lawyers. Once we thought every thing was in order, they requested further signed forms - assuming the second lot went missing. If they wasnt so much money at stake, i would have laughed, but this firm lead me to sleepless night and pure frustration. They should not be allowed to operate. STAY AWAY.

Communication is abysmal so don't bother dealing with them, in fact they are imposed on others by the banks, this is how they function, so they only communicate if they want money, if they had the money, no answer. I think a score at 1.3 stars is an accomplishment for people like them and their affiliates. Those people received the high business awards for 2023 because they are like a saw, profit going forwards, profit going backwards at any price, no moral compass as a firm, if the law allows they take it to the extreme. Their profits are from snowballing a minor dispute with a landlord into a legal case with every agent in that firm chipping in to claim fees knowing they will get a court ruling in their favour especially if it is big banks whom they represent. Interestingly they "represent" the landlord but when the bank takes over the property in receivership the rental is taken by the letting agency and when a repair is required for any defect then the landlord is asked to chip in for a property already under receivership with a monthly rental taken by the bank!

My recent experience with TLT LLP’s on a critical finance transaction was marked by gross administrative latency to put it simply.

Despite having vital execution documents in their possession for 48 hours, the team did not review them until 16:50 on a Friday afternoon, directly causing us to miss our completion window.

When attempting to salvage the deal, their digital processes failed entirely due to absolute internal disorganization.

Despite being given formal notice at 11:00 AM for a scheduled video call at 12:30 PM with an ILA. They FAILED to deliver the mandatory security codes, leaving us waiting until 12:55 PM for a 1 minute execution. The firm then misrouted the confidential digital signature links internally to an entirely incorrect solicitor completely breaking the digital execution process and GDPR rules.

This internal incompetence forced me to personally complete an emergency 150-mile round trip to salvage the transaction via wet-ink signatures, causing significant additional loan interest charges, travel expenses, postage charges, loss of my time and extreme stress. We still can't complete either.

I strongly advise commercial clients or lenders requiring basic operational accuracy to look elsewhere.

If i could have scored them zero this would have been over generous and once again our lovely legal system allows them to hide and take zero ownership of the near £2500 extra costs because of their incompetence.

The other reviews of TLT LLP completely reflect my experience of dealing with this firm. I am trying to support my brother and his young family who had their property repossessed for a catalogue of sad reasons. They have been in temporary council provided property since late 2025. TLT were appointed by Barclays to manage the surplus from the property sale in April 2026. Now in September, we continue to wait for the Lodgement receipt. Poor service, communication and professionalism for a legal firm. Barclays should reconsider them as their preferred partner, unfortunately we had no choice.

Awful firm. I’m in the process of waiting for funds from the sale of a property. They are rude on the telephone if they answer at all. They respond only with curt and aggressive emails. They are slow to the point of being stationary to act and carry about the most basic duties. That Principality are using them beggars belief.

Extremely slow and unreliable. Nightmare to deal with. Santander should not be using a firm like this that damages their reputation. Wouldn't respond to solicitors letters, very predatory in their language when they are contacted for anything.

This law company was representing my bank regarding the repossession of my property and the case went to court on 5th December 2025. The TLT legal representative was so inept and unprepared that she couldn’t answer most of the questions the judge asked. The judge got so frustrated that she told the girl that she was wasting her time and threw it out of court. The court case had to be re adjourned in the January. Despite TLT’s mistake, they are still charging me for the time wasted in the first court case. I tried to contact them via phone months ago but no one got back to me. I have found the quality of their service poor on every level and cannot understand why a company like Barclays would use them

absolutely appalling service - avoid at all costs! David Ward isdealing with the sale of a property i am supposed to be purchasing (its taken 6 months so far) - responses vague and always required a follow-up. waited until last possible moment to check the seller had sent all their documents in (sale was supposed to go through last Friday (23rd May), surprise surprise, some were missing - little to no organisation and of course you cant speak to them. terrible service - left in the dark as to when the sale will actually go through, will be pulling out of the sale. hope the CEO knows they will be loosing money

This company are handling the sale for Barclays Bank of a repossessed property, which I bought at auction. I have a registered charge against this property but I haven't received any money. The sale went through in February 2026 and it is now May 2026. I'll bet Barclays Bank got the money they were owed. I have tried several times to contact them. I've even put in a formal complaint and am now being totally ignored. I wouldn't touch this company with a bargepole and this sort of behaviour shouldn't be allowed from a registered UK company.

Absolutely appalling. You just spend hours listening to music on hold. You get transferred to another team and listen to more music. After 30 minutes I got sick and tired of waiting so I requested a call back. That was 2 weeks ago. Legal professionals????? They're a joke

Terrible company sent money and paperwork to wrong company. Then have taken months and months to sort it out. Don't do anything unless you ring them and remind them and complain.

Disgusted my Landlord screws up these guys just send a warning the next day evict you no communication, I rang three times for assistance or advice to be put to a dead extension, I emailed informed them off illness in the home no response so as is landlord makes a mess of his life now after fifteen years as Tennant not even a month's notice

they were dealing with a surplus of funds after home sale, we received the first call where he spoke in legalise, even when I asked them to explain it was no more simple, we have been waiting weeks for a form my wife can fill in to certify her ID officially, despite talking to us on the phone and passing several id checks to speak to us, they are slow, dim witted, keep failing to action requests and full of apologies but no actions, if this company ranks in the top 50, I can only assume there are only 50 companies in this country, they are beyond incapable... gave them a 1 star as 0 is not available.

Extremely concerning experience with TLT Solicitors Bristol.
I complied fully with a Judge’s order to maintain payments and had clear bank evidence. Their representative even acknowledged this — yet still told the Judge the opposite in court.

Worse, they failed to properly notify me of a critical hearing:

14 March 2025: TLT received hearing date (confirmed by court)

26 March 2025: They sent me the letter

28 March 2025: Hearing took place

29 March 2025: I received the letter — after the hearing

As a result, I unknowingly missed the hearing and a possession order was granted in my absence.

This was not just poor communication — it had serious consequences and raises real concerns about fairness and conduct.

Would give zero stars if I could, TLTLLP are one of the most useless companies ive ever had to deal with, they placed a restriction on my house when i brought it 15 years ago as a repossession, I am in the final stages of selling my house but without this restriction being lifted the purchasers cannot register the house in their names, Me my partner and my solicitor have been in contact on multiple occasions over the last 2 and a half weeks, they do not get back to you, do not respond to emails and fob you off over the phone, this is the only thing holding up my completion and im fuming, disgusting company absolutely useless incompetent waste of space that should have their license removed, how a company can place a restriction on my property 15 years ago and then make it so hard to sort out is beyond me, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬

I cannot believe this company is still allowed to operate its tarnished the whole industry and why do the solicitors regulators turn a blind eye .The fraudulent paperwork i received was astonishing . They also love to create stress by purposefully changing different members staff you liaise with to cause more distress and confusion., NO wonder the public perception of the justice system is corrupt when greedy, lying ,fraudulent companies like this still operate

If I could give -5 star I would! Absolutely shocking company who I never usually use. We have been waiting for just short of 1 year to get a payment out of them as this is the law firm SSE use. We have electrical equipment on our land and due a payment which they are dragging their heels over. Never again!!

Has anyone else had serious issues with TLT LLP while acting on behalf of Santander during or after the Alliance & Leicester mortgage migration?

I’ve raised concerns with them around document handling, unauthorised data use, and legal inconsistencies—some involving sensitive matters like an ambulance being sent using a phone number not supplied by me, and internal references to mental health without proper context or consent.

One matter also relates to legal correspondence signed by a member of staff in Belfast regarding mortgage documentation that I believe raises further legal questions.

I’ve asked TLT LLP directly for answers and hope this can be resolved fairly. If not, I’ll be posting updates publicly and sharing what I’ve uncovered to help anyone in a similar situation.
