Another fantastic experience

Another fantastic experience with Timothy Roe Fine Jewellery regarding my ring sizing.

The whole team were incredibly helpful, professional and genuinely caring throughout the process. After being without my ring for three weeks — through no fault of theirs — it was understandably frustrating having to wait, but a special shout-out to Dan, who really went above and beyond.

Dan pushed the follow-up through incredibly quickly and kept things moving, making sure I didn’t have to wait any longer than necessary to get my ring back. His communication and willingness to help made such a difference and was genuinely appreciated.

This isn’t the first time we’ve used Timothy Roe, and it certainly won’t be the last. The level of personal service, attention to detail and care they provide is exactly why we’ll continue to use them in the future.

Thank you to Dan and the whole team — absolutely brilliant service, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Timothy Roe.

First Class Jewellers in Chichester

I recently commissioned Timothy Roe. Fine Jewellers of Chichester to make me a new gold and diamond signet ring. And what a fantastic job they made of it. Fine craftsmanship from Dimitri, Karl and Recto combined with a first class friendly service from the start. Needless to say I was very pleased and impressed with the results. Andrew

Not a good experience

I have used Timothy Roe for many years and had jewellery designed and made for me. I was given a ring and I went in to the shop and asked a young girl who worked there if they could size a ring for me. She quoted me £200 and it would take 2 weeks to re size Absolutely ridiculous price after having 2 quotes offering me half this quote and would take 2 days.
I felt judged by this young lady who served me as if I wasn’t good enough to be in there and the quote was to put me off. It’s a shame Tim wasn’t around maybe her opinion would have been different. Needless to say I went elsewhere where.
I provided an email address for contact my ring is 18carat gold go from size M- to P but I wouldn’t worry as I have had it increased else where at the price of £75 It took 2 days even in the Christmas period. Being a loyal customer for many years I was a little dis - heartened with the service. Thank you for replying.

Hello Louise,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on trustpilot. I am sorry to hear of your experience.

I was wondering if it's possible to have a little more detail on your visit? I did try calling the number that you provided in order for us to verify your review and chat through these details in private and discuss your visit, however the telephone number does not exist when I attempt to call it.

Do you have a brief description of who served you the shop and also of your ring (metal type - 18ct / 9ct / Platinum) and whether the size was going up / down. This will help Tim and I ascertain if the price quoted was justifiable. With metal prices as they are, it is not uncommon for a more complex sizing involving adding a larger piece of metal to be in excess of £200.

All of our repairs are carried out onsite in our own workshop and it is a very busy time of year as we approach Christmas. Our workshop team, their skills and excellent work are in high demand - Tim and I both believe 2 weeks is a very reasonable turnaround time.

Please do contact us on 01243 538 313 or email dan@timothyroe.com as I would very much like to verify your visit and the service you received.

Best Regards

Dan Roe

Hi Louise,

Thanks for the additional detail - it is greatly appreciated. By way of apology for how you feel about the turnaround time and pricing, I'd like to invite you to the store to have all of your jewellery cleaned and polished - free of charge - I will take care of it personally for you, while you wait, depending on the number of pieces! You are welcome in our shop anytime - Tim and I would be happy to help you personally with any jewellery related questions or enquiries. We are an independent family business and reviews like this have a big impact on us - we would love the opportunity to help turn things around and get back in your good books!

Fantastic Jewellers

We’ve been to Timothy Roe twice now, for a bespoke engagement ring and also our bespoke wedding rings. Tim and Dan are both very knowledgable and were great to work with, their work and customer service is exceptional and we would highly recommend.
