Told 10 days for jewellery repair...after more than 3 weeks ..and ringing Simon and being told he'll call at the end of the week.. no call... I decided to go in and was told some bits had been done..asked to see the repairs..nothing had been done...took my pieces and went elsewhere...lost all confidence with Simon from Ebony jewellers.......

My wedding band was purchased here 30 years ago over the years the engraved pattern had almost completely worn away. I was a little apprehensive of leaving it for a week to be re engraved and what the end result would be. I can truly say I am very happy that you have brought my wedding band back to its former glory. Looks as good as the day I originally received it all In time for our 30th anniversary

Great service from an experienced team, I will definitely be returning. I got 3 quotes for some gold jewellery I was selling…. Items that have been unworn for years, odd earrings and general older gold pieces no longer needed. I received a quote for all the items straight away, honest feedback on what might be better to keep for example items like rings wirh precious gems…. I gathered 2 other quotes which were guide costings only subject to returning to check by a supervisor… massive difference as I met the owner who helped me straight away. He quoted and I went back next day and sold them. Money transfered. Very easy, and absolutely the best valuation. Highly recommend if you are selling gold especially in the current market as gold prices have sky rocketed… thank you !

Primarily for jewellery repairs, adjustments and modifications though they are also a great place to purchase jewellery. The service is always first class and the workmanship of an excellent standard. No job seems to big or to small and their advice is always spot on. Ebony Jewellers is very a ethical establishment one can have complete trust in and a joy to use it's services.

I came across Ebony Jewellers on a mini break to explore Chichester, and was instantly drawn to a window display full of beautiful pieces. First impressions are very important, or so they say, and a well thought out window with a curated selection really does indicate you’re about to walk into a place with a real passion for what they do - meaning they normally do it bloody well!

I was only meaning to window shop (says every woman ever) but was immediately drawn to a beautiful vintage sapphire and brilliant cut diamond gold cluster.

I met with Simon and Mary, who were ever so kind and knowledgable. They took the time to look at the ring with me and were very honest when I suggested trading in a trilogy sapphire ring I already had on for this very different style. In short, the sapphire I had was a small Burmese in comparison to this Ceylon sapphire and they explained to me what this meant and that it needed to be a choice of the heart as I would be taking a stone of a lesser colour. I’m really not sure another jeweller would have been quite so genuine but for that I was grateful.

A few days later - I’m in love with the cluster but sorely miss my original ring largely due to sentimental reasons (my first “big girl purchase” - apparently I’m crap at goodbyes!)

I contacted Ebony and arranged to come in as soon as I could. On arriving, I was met with the equally lovely Seamus and Cian, who sourced my ring back from being lined up for rhodium replating and kindly took a look at some old gold jewellery I had which I hoped I could perhaps offer as a trade instead and pay the difference. Ebony’s gave me a very good price and allowed me to settle the balance.

I now have two very sentimental rings for life and many reasons to make Ebony my jeweller of choice for years to come.

If you haven’t sourced your jewellery through this wonderful family, you are sorely missing out!

Asked for a valuation with a tight deadline for insurance purposes and was assured that it could be done (within 2 weeks). Was given a business card with phone and WhatsApp details. Date passed when I should have heard and so tried ringing. When someone eventually picked up I was told that it would be ready 2 days later than the promised date. No communication and tried ringing again, constantly on and off for an hour and no one picked up. Completely ignored! I tried the WhatsApp number on and off for an hour for the phone to be eventually turned off. They obviously knew someone had been trying to ring. I ended up having to go in and demand my jewellery back, to which I was told they were almost finished with the valuation. I had to ask 3 times to get my jewellery, to which they placed it on the counter with no apology. Poor customer service. Don’t promise a service that you can’t provide, it would have only taken a phone call from Ebony to update us what was happening but instead they chose to ignore me. I have taken my jewellery elsewhere and already had a much better experience. I would not recommend going to Ebony, this has caused me a lot of stress. Also Ebony, don’t give out a business card with contact details if you’re just going to ignore your customers!

Dropped of 2 rings that I had to have cut off in hospital ,I wanted them made into one ring .
Cian went above and beyond to do this for me at a more than reasonable price ….the ring is beautiful and has made me so happy . I cannot thank Cian at Ebony jewellers enough , 5 star service and one of the nicest men I have ever met 😁Thankyou so much

A lovely purchase of a silver necklace which unfortunately snagged on my scarf, upon removal of which, I broke the clasp. Ebony repaired it within a few days, sent a text to say it was ready and didn’t charge me for the repair.
