Did not confirm ticket status. Several phone calls, emails, and chats were unsuccessful. Representatives on phone kept giving conflicting information. Very disappointed and difficult process. Will not use this company again

I was a little apprehensive about booking based on the mixed bag of online reviews, in particular some of the reddit feedback. Nevertheless, the price of the flight I booked was 50% from the same airlines, which was a significant savings. However, the process after purchase left much to be desired. For example, I received an email that I should have received a confirmation email, which I had not. So, I left a voicemail for the sender and sent a reply. The individual called me back later the same day, but I was seeking clarification on a few relatively straightforward points, but I came away feeling that my questions had not been directly addressed. So, if all goes well once I get to my flight, great, but if not, I bought travel insurance. Part of what led to my confusion was the disclaimers in the emails and the lack of clarity about who would be communicating what about my upcoming flight.

Thrive Travel uses corporate frequent-traveler points to sell airline tickets to third parties. Many airlines prohibit this practice under their loyalty program rules.

In my case, Lufthansa cancelled my ticket less than 24 hours before departure because of an issue involving how Thrive Travel had booked and sold the ticket using frequent-traveler points. I was left without a valid ticket and had to purchase a new ticket directly from the airline for a flight two days later.

Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend against using Thrive Travel. If you want confidence that your ticket is valid and that you will actually be able to board your flight, don't use Thrive Travel!

Much better rate for flights than most sites. As long as you can wait a day for your tickets it’s worth it

I had to book an emergency international flight departing in 5 hours from booking time. The confirmation email from Thrive says it can take up to 24 hours to actually ticket the flight (this was not obvious when I booked the ticket) I called Thrive customer service and they ticketed the flight while I was on hold. A rare good news story in these days of generally awful customer service in the travel industry.

They saved us money and were kind, and calm on the phone.

Company did not put MY email address in the reservation! So now I’m trying to update my passport snd travel documents and I am on the Airline website, and they sent s confirmation code to the person who booked the reservation at the company, NOT ME!!!!
