If you like queuing then you'll love thorpe park...
Corporate greed at its finest. If you like queuing then you'll love thorpe park. 1 hour and 35 minutes to queue for a 1 minute long ride - that ended up being rubbish. And that's the standard across rides. The park is only open 8 hours, so that is four rides a day... you do the math. Not worth it. They oversell tickets by FAR too much, terrible experience. Do not reccomend. Mental torture queuing for such a ridiculous amount of time.
Discrimination against hidden disabilities
Thorpe park as part of Merlin entertainments are now discriminating against Autism ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions. This is no longer a safe space for people with hidden disabilities. As RAP pass holders we are extremely disappointed with this unfair treatment. We will not renew our passes again , or use any of Merlin parks again
Why have you deemed it acceptable to…
Why have you deemed it acceptable to exclude my autistic daughter from your park by removing the ride access pass for her? Have you checked with lawyers and they’ve told you it is now allowable to discriminate against neurodivergent disabilities but not ok to discriminate against physical disabilities?

I went into the saw maze thinking it was going to be another fun ride/ attraction. it certainly wasn't. I was so frightened my partner had to guide me through and sing me lullabies
Thorpe Park Are Scammers
We essentially got scammed by Thorpe Park. When using the e-gates, accidentally I scanned two codes at once. Upon informing a member of staff since only one of us could go through at one time, we were abruptly informed ‘it’s already been used’ and nothing can be done. Honestly helpful customer service, and a complete waste of money. Please don’t give this scamming institution your money, they don’t trust anyone and it’s not worth it.
Great day for queue-lovers
Our experience is the same as the majority of reviewers here. The overcrowding is ridiculous, especially as they can’t manage to keep all the major rides open (two were closed when we went, at the beginning of November). Most queues are well over 2 hours. It is made worse by poor organisation and bored staff. Merlin pretty much have a UK monopoly on these parks, and have no incentive to improve the experience.
Do not go waste time and money!! Overcrowded and over priced
Overcrowded and over priced, dont bother with photo package as you have to pay when you get the photos anyway. Have to pay for entry and then have to pay for ride once inside. Over sell tickets so the park is so packet everyone is arguing and fighting. Ques are 3 hours so if you spend a 9 hour day with wee breaks and food breaks you get to go on 2 maybe 3 rides with one being a baby ride that noone wants to go on just go on it to make you feel a little bit better about spending 9 hours standing in ques. Food is disgusting. Staff are aggressive but how can you blame them when they have 3million angry visitors seathinh from standing in ques for 3hours and then the ride closes!! Worst place in England!! Never again.
Best day ever!
We had a fantastic VIP experience with Anna as our guide for Fright Night! I took three teenage boys who were absolutely thrilled with how the day went. In fact on the way home they told me it was “the best day ever!” This is the highest praise a 13 year old can bestow 😃
Anna steered us through a busy park, helped us go on everything we wanted to ride (some twice) and made sure we had everything we needed. I felt unwell and Anna was amazing making sure I got a sit down while she continued to take the boys around. It was like having another Mum to help (sorry, Anna!) We’ll definitely be doing it all again next year.
It’s now £12 to park!
It’s now £12 to park, 90 minute for the new Hyperia, as great as it was it’s was, the time queuing ruined the day. Also two of the main rides were closed.
Just terrible
Just terrible! Toilet dirty in cabin, facilities in the park very dirty. 2 hour waits for rides, rude staff. Overpriced, no customer service...save your money people, this just ain't worth it
Fast track system is designed to scam…
Fast track system is designed to scam their customers…. Hidden away in the massive T&C’s they say they won’t refund you if the ride closes…. Awful customer experience.
Thrope Park was great growing up, coming back as an adult has shown me why I’ve not been in years!
£12 for parking is joke also. Clearly not many people are enjoying the park by the look of your reviews.
Worst experience at a theme park ever
I came to the park with my disabled son as part it the buy one get one free offer. After queuing for nearly 2 hrs just to get in my son, who is autistic and has ADHD was nearly beside himself. When we got to the gates we were told our tickets weren't valid as the system had booked them for the same date as the original ticket which was shocking.
Rather than let us in as I had proof of purchase we were directed to another queue for ticket assistance. This was only one window open for the last day of the holidays and a very busy day. By this point my son was in tears so my friend went to see if she could get help as a lot of the staff were just kicking their heels while we waited and made no attempt to open another window, basically use their heads. This did not help as the member of staff was only handing out carer tickets and it took half an hour to be seen.
This was when we were told that I would have to pay £5 each for the tickets to be reissued but was told, falsely, that I could get my money back.
The park I self is a shambles, run by teenagers who do not care about the customers or their experience. The queues were so long the kids spent most of their time in the pitiful play park but it gave me a chance to go to guest services who said they couldn't issue a refund on the day I'd have to email.
Fast forward several months and I am still locked in an argument what passes for their customer service team who are refusing to refund me as I should have checked the tickets and have taken no responsibility for their system which should not allow two bookings on the same day.
To say I'm disgusted is an understatement. We will not be back.
Totally overcrowded, massive queues
Totally overcrowded - too many tickets sold with queues for rides 90-140 minutes not to mention having queued 90 minutes to get into the park with pre-booked tickets.
Business model is to sell so many tickets that it almost forces people to buy the fast passes (£16-20 a pop) at the expense of visitors. In the 9+ hours we were there we managed 4 rides with the rest of time spent queuing to get in or on a ride.
Oh and you have to pay for parking.
The rides we went on were great. It not worth the cost and time.
Never ever again….absolutely UNACCEPTABLE
Never ever again….
I went yesterday for Halloween Eve(30/10/25) with my family x5 which had x2 disabled people.
After doing one of the scary maze we paid for I was falsely accused of assaulting one of the staff by a security officer at the end of the maze!😳
Not only he was rude, trying to embarrass&intimidate me in front of a crowd as well being surrounded by x7 police officers he was also very unprofessional.First he said he was an accident as I kept repeating that it was a scary maze pich black inside and I may have been jumping scared and accidentally touch the staff he was insisting on saying in my face that I was assaulting a member of staff.I didn’t back down as I never ever assaulted anyone in my all life he took it out of proportion. He said I was issued a verbal warning and would be escorted out if it was happening again in another maze…The all thing was absolutely absurd and left my x2 disabled family members so stressed out that they didn’t want to do any rides or scary mazes! Thank you to the lady who saw the all scene and spoke to one of the manager after that!.One of the staff inside hit her son which can happen again inside is so dark but they had all excuses to bring out.
Never in my life was I accused of something so serious you need to train your security officers about remaining professional and not use criminal vocabulary as in English an assault is a crime!I will not tolerate such choice of words towards my character.
I’m an annual member and will not recommend that place on my platform.
NEVER AGAIN don’t even try to justify this ….
My son is still talking about it as he is autistic and had to calm him down before he could fall asleep thanks for that .
NEVER AGAIN
Money grabbing merchants
Absolutely no point coming to Thorpe park with rude rude rude staff, undertrained and more rude, they offer a RAP card which is a disability card, which you can go on a ride then wait (however long that ride estimated time was, for example if hyperia was 120 mins you would have to wait 2 hours till you can go on your next ride, so technically a virtual que). What dosent make sense to me is, if my partner has a disability which she can’t stand for longer that 30 mins at a time why should she need to wait in a 40 minute hyperia RAP CARD QUE. This is just defeating the point of a RAP card. I find this awful and is just discriminating people with disability’s that they didn’t decide to have. I find Thorpe park a fun day out off season but when the kids are on summer holidays or half term it’s an absolute nightmare would not reccomend for anyone with a disability to go as you do not get looked after at all they just want your money go on max 3-4 rides and go home. If your thinking driving in the next couple days I highly reccomend you don’t and find another attraction to go to where your not going to be treated like absolute s***
Badly managed, money making, no joy business model
Reading all the reviews on this site, i realise much of my anger has already been expressed by others. Thorpe Park runs a business model that is beyond disgusting. Firstly, how can you operate a theme park in the UK that doesn't cater for the rain. We booked for Fright Night. It was pouring with rain and we ended up queuing for 90 minutes. No covered area, no management of expectation and then five or so unfriendly workers bag checking, very slowly, with the lowest grade scanners about 700 people. If the V & A Museum and the like, can get hundreds of people bag checked uber quickly and through the doors then why can't Thorpe Park? After this the first set of toilets had understandably massive queues but the second set of female toilets were closed with no explanation as to why or directions to the next toilets. All the queues for every ride were between 60-90 minutes on average. The food being served is proper low grade rubbish (sad pizza slices, small nachos bowls and tomato pasta etc) and massively over priced. There is no sense of joy or great customer service anywhere. The rides are good but it's hard to appreciate the one minute of brilliance after such a shit experience waiting to get on. It could be so much better but as it is it's just a money making exercise.
Disgusting way to treat humans let…
Disgusting way to treat humans let alone teenagers. Expecting them to wait over TWO hours to go on a 3 minute ride.. Soooo bad ..
My daughter is Disabled ( autistic dyspraxic and physically unable to wait in these queues) and she tries to get an access card as she is entitled for 2 weeks.. but the website would not allow her. when she explained at the entrance They said rhey don't care its very busy. Left her crying as ahe had to sit down for hours on the floor by her self...while her friends waited 4 hours to get on 2 rides for £75.00 .
Inhumane to treat kids like ..especially disabled. I rang 4 times to ask for help and the staff were rude and u empathetic basically said oh well not their problem.
Nasty place .. no other theme park treats kids like this and discriminated against disabled people by not making adjustments to help.them join in .
Shocked.
Massively under-staffed but not under-priced
Expected it to be busy and to be honest bearing in mind half term and fright night was pleasantly surprised. BUT - one security guard per queue (of 100s) to get in - having to search bags and then check everyone through the metal detector is nuts. Everyone fuming long before you even get to the park. Multiple ride closures and three rides in a day just doesn't cut it.
