Don't Trust them with Wine Forwarding
I used the TWB to forward a bottle of rare, expensive, 40-year old Riesling wine from Germany to the United States. They completed the forwarding paperwork properly, but shipped the bottle during a heat wave. It was over 90°F (32°C) on the date of delivery. It is an extremely common practice with high-end wine to wait until weather conditions are optimal to ship. I've purchased dozens of bottles from Benchmark and Baron and this is just common practice. TWB shipped the wine without even checking the weather or asking if I would prefer to them to hold the wine until weather conditions improved. The wine arrived warm to the touch - a clear sign of heat damage for a 40 year old Riesling. When confronted about the issue they denied all responsibility and told me they don't offer temperature controlled shipping as a service and that they are a forwarding service and any product flaw should be taken up with the wine maker. Horrific response. I will not be working with them again.
