Alessia was a wonderful tour guide
Alessia was a wonderful tour guide. She is a wealth of information and sparked my interest in history of the area. Alessia wove stories of the past into the historical ruins of today. An Exceptional Tour Guide — Highly Recommend Francesca!
Francesca was absolutely phenomenal! She was incredibly knowledgeable, informative, friendly, and engaging throughout our Colosseum tour. She did an amazing job making the experience enjoyable and accessible for everyone in our group.
We had a two-year-old and a four-year-old with us, as well as my mother, who has mobility issues, and Francesca was so patient, accommodating, and thoughtful. She made sure everyone felt comfortable and included, and she made navigating the tour so much easier for our family.
You could truly tell that Francesca loves what she does. Her knowledge and passion brought the history of the Colosseum to life, while her warm and personable nature made the experience even more special.
We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Francesca went above and beyond, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone visiting Rome and the Colosseum. She helped make our experience memorable for the entire family!

Total disappointment and way too expensive for the low quality
Of our half dozen Italy tours, the Tour Guy’s 3-hour Colosseum Arena Floor tour was by far the most expensive and least enjoyable. The initial meet-up was confusing and unprofessional, with a guy in a shabby red t- shirt directing us toward a nearby wall where immediately a group of cigarette smoking lowlifes intercepted us asking us to see our phones, until we realized they were scouting for nefarious opportunities. The radio system was substandard and difficult to hear for our entire too-large group. The tour was advertised as in-English but the guide, although seemingly knowledgeable, was not a native speaker and with a heavy accent, rushed delivery, rarely facing the group, much of the story was lost. The graphics that were used were mostly just a torn up old calendar with pictures compared to the iPad presentations we enjoyed on other tours. Probably a quarter of our group dropped out before the end, reflecting the overall dissatisfaction. We travel extensively and take probably 10+ tours a year, ranging from free to expensive, and this was the least value for the money of any in Italy. Steer yourselves away from The Tour Guy! You can definitely do better.

Instructions were received in advance several days before our reservation. Bring a picture ID for the Uffizi museum
Tour Guy staff coordinated the meeting point with our tour guide, Francesca, so she could introduce herself and get the tour started immediately. She is very knowledgeable about the history of Florence and the timeline of the Medici family influence. Her explanations and comparisons between the grand masters impressed us. She included some interesting insights. You will have choices to select your tours but I think we were very pleased we selected this tour and the time slot fitted perfect with when we needed to head back to our hotel.

Very disappointed with our experience with The Tour Guy. We booked our London tour well in advance and were just notified that our Monday tour has been canceled because they did not have enough participants.
As international travelers, we planned our limited time in London around this confirmed tour. Receiving a cancellation this close to the date leaves us scrambling to find another option at the last minute.
While we understand tours may require a minimum number of participants, we feel this possibility should be communicated clearly and cancellations should be made with enough notice for travelers to make alternative plans. We booked with the expectation that our confirmed reservation would be honored.
Unfortunately, this has been a very disappointing experience and has put an unnecessary damper on what should be an exciting part of our trip.

My tour guide Craig
My tour guide Craig, a former US service member was so knowledgeable from explaining ingredients, the preparation to giving some great suggestions. As a bonus he was very informative about the architecture offering lots of really cool tidbits on the “why’s” certain common aspects are found throughout the city. Each stop was a fascinating story featuring mouth watering delicious traditional Italian cuisine. Can’t say enough good stuff about Craig and the tour, thank you very much.

Our Trastevere food tour with Craig was Amazing!
Our Trastevere food tour with Craig was hands down one of the best experiences of our entire trip to Rome! Craig was absolutely fantastic—warm, funny, knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the food and culture of Rome. He took us to incredible places we never would have found on our own, and every stop was better than the last. But what really made the tour unforgettable was Craig himself. He has a gift for making everyone feel comfortable and welcome, and by the end of the tour it honestly felt like we were spending the evening with a friend who just happened to know all the best places in Rome. His stories, humor, and enthusiasm made the experience so much more than just a food tour. If you are coming to Rome, book this tour and request Craig—you will not regret it! We would absolutely choose Craig again and cannot recommend him highly enough. He made our time in Trastevere incredibly special and gave us memories we’ll take home with us.

Absolute scam of a company
Absolute scam of a company. Note that early booking and payment means nothing with this company. Booked months out to guarantee our Sagrada Famila tickets. Got told 5 days out “they couldn’t source tickets, so the tour is cancelled.” Yet, we found out that the tour is still going ahead. They cut out the customers that booked earlier on the cheaper rate. Absolute joke. Their alternate offer was 3 week away.
Definitely stay away, as they will change plans to their liking just before the tour date.
Unfortunate that we didn’t read the reviews of others as it seems others have been caught up in this same problem.
Edit to the original post. We were able to secure tickets directly with Sagrada Familia for 28Euro. I can see you are advertising the same tickets with a guide at 400Euro on 28/9. As I said, absolute scam of a company!!
