Bought a Thermapen Classic online when visiting the UK recently. Customer Support (Ieva) was fantastic in ensuring my order was processed and delivered to me prior to my departure. Have used it extensively since getting back and find it an excellent piece of equipment. Many thanks Ieva!!

I have had a string of cheap “instant read” thermometers over the years, they have never been very instant and have also not generally lasted very long. I wish I had decided to buy a good one years ago, I have been very pleased with the Thermapen One, and now after a small technical difficulty I can also say I’m highly impressed with eti’s customer service.

Great product and brilliant customer service. Had a problem with the battery cover, they were very prompt in responding to my email, and immediately dispatched a replacement. Like so many other people have commented, on various sites, a first class food thermometer, backed up with support staff who know the importance of looking after their customers.

When this thermometer works, it is excellent. However, longevity is a major concern.

I previously owned one of the standard models which became faulty after just one year (even the replacement unit failed). Hoping for better reliability, I upgraded to the Thermapen One, but that too developed a faulty screen after a year of use.

I’ve sent it in for repairs, but with a turnaround time of over a week, I am left without a thermometer once again. Hard to recommend given the consistent hardware failures.

I bought my Superfast Thermapen 3 in 2019. I have used it a lot. It is indeed super fast and very accurate. Recently it stopped working (the display was blank). Changing the batteries did not help so I returned it to ETI for repair.
I had several emails from ETI telling me they had received my Thermapen and advising me of its progress through repair, recalibration and dispatch.
The repair was completed within a week. I received my pen back complete with a new protective zip up pouch and a FOC invoice! What a fantastic company, great service! Can highly recommend!

Updated Review - After complaining about my product breaking very soon after getting it, thermapen did a really great job in getting it fixed for me. It was returned working with a new battery and a case to keep in which was a nice touch. very good service, I take back my last review!

I had difficulty removing the battery cap from my Classic Thermapen. During the attempt at open it the cap was damaged.
Rang Thermapen, who couldn’t have been more helpful.
They suggested how the cap might be opened with a twenty pence coin. Also replaced the damaged cap at no extra charge. It arrived by post the next day.
Couldn’t be happier.

To report - that when DHL were pretty poor (delivered item to random cupboard but reported "signed for by buyer"..... Thermapen got onto them for me and were able to sort out the items location. Thank you very much Abi

outstanding customer service! stupdily i didnt buy everything i need and so i phoned up to get what i needed. Abigail's customer service was truly exceptional. on email she sent me videos and how to use the equipment without asking and added every detail i needed. i run a company based off of great customer service and it has got me very far and with a member of team like Abigail you will grow very far. Make sure to give her a bonus!

I love my thermapen. It was a super gift. It's super fast to check food is up to a safe temperature. Also, it was super helpful on holiday for checking the fridge and adjusting its settings to get food to a safe cold temperature. I've been using this now for about a couple of years or more and wouldn't want to be without it. Recently I needed to replace a washer where the screw goes into the battery case. I contacted Thermapen and their after sales service is second to none. Top quality product and top quality company. Highly recommend them. A couple of my family have also been impressed and got them too. I'm rarely this pleased with a product and after sales service. Hence the review and recommendation.

Excellent thermometer, brilliant customer service.

Mine's been invaluable since I was given it as a present some years ago. Responsive and accurate. I use it mainly for fermenting milk for yoghurt—where there are some critical temperatures involved. Never had a failure, making batches three or so times a month for several years.

I botched a battery change this weekend and couldn't get the battery cover to sit neatly. I taped it, and it was ok, but clearly not as good as before.

I emailed customer service. A very helpful and rapid response. No quibble. Only question they asked was for my address, to put a replacement in the post. Which was done and two days later I'm happy with a new working battery cover.

Highly recommend the product and the company.

therma pen is a brilliant device. I’ve had it for a couple of years so needed to change the battery for the first time and silly me rounded off the battery cap with a coin so contacted Therma pen and Abigail dealt with my issue instantly and solved my problem . Can’t fault that for customer service.

Contacted Thermapen with a question on the rfx gateway which by the way is a fantastic product, replied with all the info in literally 5mins highly recommended.

I purchased my Thermapen One at the end of December 2024.
I’m just an enthusiastic home cook who likes to know when recommended temperatures are reached !
For a few years, I had an earlier Thermapen (one with two button cells) which I thought was great, but each time I use my Thermapen One I think to myself - I really must write to ETI and compliment them for producing a perfectly designed instrument.
Well, at last, I’ve got around to it - congratulations - Thermapen One is perfect. Thank you.

I bought the ThermoWorks RFX Meat Probe Bundle hoping for a reliable wireless setup for my smoker, but on the second cook, the RFX Gateway and probe dock melted despite bracket mounting for distance from the ~225°F (107°C) heat source. The system requires the Gateway to be "nearby" for Billows integration and probe connectivity, yet its 25°C-50°C operating limit (buried in specs) makes this a risky balancing act in real BBQ scenarios.
The probe itself is accurate and handles high ambient temps (up to 1,000°F when inserted), but the Gateway's plastic housing isn't built for proximity to smokers—something not clearly warned via stickers, app alerts, or bold guides. Similar complaints appear in forums, like melting rings or heat failures despite following instructions, often tied to misleading magnetic design implying safe mounting on metal BBQs. Support denied warranty, citing the limit, leaving me with an unusable Billows and hesitant to repurchase. Great signal and app when it works, but needs better heat tolerance and upfront warnings to match competitors like Meater or Inkbird. Disappointing for a premium brand—hope they address this in updates.

Fantastic customer service.

Order went missing with DHL and a replacement order was received the next day no questions asked.

Great thermometer, fast readings and each to read the display whichever way you are holding it.

I had a small issue which was resolved very quickly by customer services, so good product backup as well.

Response was amazingly rapid and effective to replace part broken on 2y+old Thermapen. Rellay impressed. Part arrived withing 36 hours of contact. A lesson in how to impress, retain and surprise your customers.

Exceptional customer service that mirrors the quality of ETI’s thermometers. After treating myself to the RFX Gateway and a couple of RFX probes, setting up was so easy through the Thermopen App and that no matter where I and my phone moved to there wasn’t a single dropout.
Then I decided to follow the recommendations and shift over to using the ETI App instead, which is when the Gateway had a hissy fit and refuse to recognise my WiFi again.
After spending a little time with Michael on the technical chat room and going through various different ways including threatening the Gateway with the naughty step the unit wouldn’t cooperate, so a new unit was sent and received within 24hrs, only needing me to return the troublesome unit free of any costs to me via DHL.
The replacement Gateway was setup within minutes of arriving, on the ETI app, and is now happily send me the info from the RFX meat probes and monitoring the pit temp using the billows as a lovely bit of brisket is cooking.
