Need To Sort Out Website and Customer Service
Buy online as they closed our shop. Before placing latest order I had to re register due to new website which was okay but I couldn’t apply my reward.However, ordered three items on the 3 for 2 offer but have charged me for all 3 (extra £14). Cannot get through to them at all. The contact form doesn’t have appropriate category and phoning them the message is so garbled cannot understand it. You are about to lose a customer Body Shop.
Someone wants to sink this company
Went to check my vouchers online and now you can only check instore?? Someone is working hard to sink this company faster and it's working.
Customer Service is non existent
I have been a customer since its inception, never an issue. I have £10.00 in vouchers which you cannot use on the website. My local Body Shop does not have the products I want in store. My vouchers are about to expire. Body shop cannot be contacted by telephone or email. There AI is as much use as a wet blanket. I have written to the Registered Office. No answer. The new owners have no idea on customer service.
Offered free gift, then charged for it!
Love the products, always have. I made a order online and was given a free gift. When they emailed the order confirmation, I'd been charged for the gift! It was less than a tenner so not worth my time asking for a refund - they probably knew I wouldn't bother with a refund when they RIPPED ME OFF.
They Are Not Refunding the Price of Returned Products – Never Buy from Them, They Steal Your Money!
I had to return 5 products, but they claim they only received 1. I asked them to prove it with video footage because this is a lie—I sent back all 5 items. I have sent them numerous emails, but they are not responding, and instead of refunding the price of all 5 products, they only refunded 1, meaning they have effectively stolen my money.
They have done similar things before, and their customer service is never helpful. Even if they respond, you won’t get an actual answer to your question or any real assistance.
Can't fulfill an on-line order correctly and sent me a non-Body Shop product???
Placed an order which was delivered quickly albeit in a box that had only a tenuous relationship with any parcel tape to keep it from coming open.
On unpacking I discovered that although the invoice listed all the correct items, one item was not in the box and instead I had been sent some sort of face wash which I did not want.
Contacted customer services who offered a refund but were unable to send the item I required, advising me instead to re-order through the website. They offered to send a gift card to cover the cost of postage.
No wonder they're in dire straits if they can't even fulfill a simple customer order or rectify problems satisfactorily.
I'm so exasperated I shall be returning all the items for a full refund and will only shop with the Body Shop in future in the - increasingly unlikely - event that I can visit an actual store.
Disappointing.
*EDIT* In fact, worryingly, the unwanted product wasn't even made by Body Shop, it's a Yepoda face wash, they're a Korean company from what I can figure. The items arrived in a Body Shop branded box and there was an invoice inside. The customer number on the invoice was recognised by Customer Services so pretty convinced I used the genuine website. So how does that work???

BEWARE OF THE BODY SHOP the…
A week ago I received an email from the Body shop ,telling me my subscription order would soon be delivered. I called the body shop to say I have not set up a subscription , nor have I placed an order . Nada told me they were having problems with their new website but she would email them to cancel the order and ‘subscription ‘ . Three days later all this was repeated after I received another email exactly the same as first one . I contacted them again and was told I would definitely not receive the order .
Today 28th Jan 2025 I received another email to say order is on the way . I phoned again and was told to contact Royal Mail to ask them not to deliver it . After half hour of waiting for Royal Mail to answer they told me Body Shop should know that they can’t intercept mail .
By this time I was furious. I contacted my bank who advised me to cancel my card to prevent this happening in future due to body shop having set me up with subscription that I did not authorise.
My bank advised me to contact Body shop to tell them I will not accept the items and find out how long they will take to refund me . I did this and body shop rep said that once I refused items I would have to keep calling them to see if it had been returned to them and only then will I get a refund .In turn my bank have said that I should let them know if there is a problem and they will take up this dispute with the Body shop . This is what I will do.
The body shop used to be excellent, now it is a complete shambles , taking money without authorisation from me and I doubt I’m the only one .I would advise any one NOT TO USE THEM . There is no head office to contact anymore . All you get are people who don’t know what they’re talking about

What a saga setting up a new account for online shopping since they changed their website. I have also now been made aware that Love Your Body Club points and rewards is now exclusively in store and no longer for online purchases.
Received wrong order and no response to complaints
In early December, I ordered a large toiletry set, a smaller toiletry set and a hand cream. It took over a week after ordering for it even to be dispatched and, when it eventually arrived, I was shocked to discover that my order was wrong. Instead of the three items I had ordered, I only received one body butter. The form that came with the order even had someone else's name on it, so they had clearly sent me someone else's order by mistake. I used the online contact form to complain about this and ask for a refund, but I have been waiting over a month for any response to this, despite getting an automated email to say my request had been received. Absolutely shocking service and I feel that I have been scammed because I spent a lot of money on products I did not receive. I had to spend more money on other toiletry sets the ones I did not receive were supposed to be Christmas presents. It is a shame as I used to really like some of the products, but I will never spend my money there again after the complete disregard for customer service I have experienced

Local shops closed so can only buy on-line. Received email to log into new site but it won't let my in, doesn't send the email to reset password, won't accept a new account sign up because it already has my details. One lost customer!

Used Cambridge shop no stock at all baskets with very little stock perfume for my daughter was very expensive hardly any stock a pale shadow of it s former self a sad shop with no customers will be going bust again soon I suspect

I had a terrible experience using The Body Shop's Edelweiss Liquid Peel, which claims to gently exfoliate and lift away pollutants for a fresh-faced glow. Unfortunately, it completely spoiled my skin after just one night of use.
Before purchasing, I performed a patch test on the back of my ear and hand as advised, and the sales representative assured me it was a safe and impressive product. However, despite these precautions, my skin reacted severely, leaving me extremely disappointed, especially since the brand markets itself as a natural and organic company.
This experience has made me lose trust in The Body Shop’s products, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone without extreme caution. I expected better quality and transparency from a brand of this reputation. I have my pictures of the damaged caused to my skin and suffered for more than 2 weeks now I bought this product on the 6 th of Dec 2024 and returned to the shop the very next day .am still suffering with just one day use of this product
Bad attitude at body shop in Arndale…
I went to the body shop in Arndale Manchester on 23/11/24 for some soaps. I forgot my body shop membership card number. So one of the shop sales assistant (old one) served me and asked for my birthday to check my number. I typed in my DOB and name on my mobile to show her and told her not to say it out loud as I do mind privacy. She said it out loud 3 times at the til. I complained to their CS and got feedback from them, offered me £5 as a gesture of good will, which makes me laugh. £5 can’t buy even 1 thing from them. I just ignore them.
No wonder they got lot of complaints here. Not again what so ever!!!
Visited the Norwich store today
Visited the Norwich store today. I understand it's closing but hoped you'd still be offered assistance. Asked if the staff member could recommend a range for someone who has allergies. 'No, I don't know all the ingredients on every item'. Well that wasn't what I asked. Then went to Lush and the customer service was excellent and I was supported to buy £35 of products. Will use Lush again.

Really bad customer service when it involves a refund!
I purchased a moisturiser online but picked it up from another store. I phone to say I would not be collecting the Online order and to release it for a refund. Nearly one month later, still no refund. I sent an online message and 2 weeks later this is still unanswered. I phoned a week ago to speak to someone at customer services who assured me that she had refunded it, still no refund. Body shop you can keep it, you obviously are in need of the money. I've spent more time and energy chasing this than it's worth.
Where is my order?
This is my second disappointing experience, and the team really needs to take their services more seriously.
I placed an order and was given an expected delivery date, but the order was never delivered as promised. I followed up, and after a few days, I finally received it.
The second time I ordered, on December 22nd, using rewards and a payment card, I still haven’t received any email updates about the status of my order. I was told to contact the local store for collection, where I was informed that the item was low in stock and my order had been cancelled. To my surprise, I never received any notification about this.
Calling customer service was equally disappointing, as I no longer trust that I can get the stock for a re-order.
I really hope they improve their services and communication channels moving forward.
Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
I bought this shampoo before COVID, and it was the best shampoo I’ve ever used. It completely got rid of my dandruff, and I was really satisfied. I bought several bottles and recommended it to all my friends to get it.
But last year, when I repurchased it, I was shocked. The shampoo had completely changed. My scalp started itching, and it was terrible. Such a shame, really.
Why do you change the formula when something is already good? You charge the same price but lower the quality.
I will never buy it again. So disappointing.

Wrong price on sale items. Sale assistant took offence when I tried to point this out and moreorless waved me out the shop. No apology at all from them. Disgusting customer service!
