The Irish lad I talked to was absolutely amazing couldn't recommend dealing with these enough, made me feel at ease and nothing was an issue.fast aswel I was insured in about 5 min.

Absolutely appalling customer service

Absolutely appalling customer service. Wanted to add my son to my policy online several times but got a message
"sorry but we can't complete your request" tried to contact through WhatsApp as they themselves suggested and spoke to an AI assistant who said it would pass me to an agent after asking a thousand questions but never did....this happened twice....tried the webchat and same thing...a thousand questions but no agent to solve the issue....rang....again!!!!...because I was on hold for so long anytime I did ring...eventually after 4 attempts to ring and 45 minutes on hold I get a real live human person....i expressed my disappointment....she didnt even utter the words sorry. Shambles of a customer service. In the end it turns out I can't add my son to the policy because hes under 25....hes only 18.....I've had Insurance with other companies and my other kids who were 18 at the time had no problem getting on my policy. Why dont they explain when I wanted to add him online in the first place that it was not possible because hes under 25 and all this time and frustration would be avoided. Absolute joke of a company....stay clear because once you've paid you're on your own. I will not be renewing.

Navigating repeated error messages online, automated chat systems that fail to connect you to a representative, and extraordinarily long wait times on the phone is completely unacceptable, and we apologize for the stress this caused you.

Furthermore, we are truly sorry that our phone representative did not acknowledge your frustration or offer an apology when you finally got through. Our goal is always to treat our customers with empathy and respect, and it is clear we fell far short of that standard during your interaction.

We also recognize how disappointing it was to discover our age restrictions after spending so much effort trying to complete the process. Clear communication is vital, and our online system should have explicitly stated the eligibility criteria right away rather than displaying a generic error message.

We are actively reviewing our digital platforms, automated messaging, and customer service routing to ensure error reasons are transparently displayed and that customers can reach human support without delay. Additionally, we are addressing your experience with our team internally to reinforce the importance of courteous and empathetic communication. We appreciate your honest review, as it highlights the exact areas where we must make immediate improvements.

Highly disappointed

I rang the AA on a Thursday evening at 5.12pm and spoke to a really lovely lady of my problem with a flat tire. I was unable to remove the cap from the tyre to even attempt to put air into it. I was informed that somebody would be with me within 90 minutes. I sat and I waited, however 90 minutes later nobody showed. I rang again to be told that somebody would be with me shortly as they had just finished another job. 45 minutes later still nobody had showed. I rang again and this time I was told that somebody would be with me in the next 25 minutes. 25 minutes later still nobody showed. I rang again and was yet again told that somebody would be with me within the next 20 minutes. When I explained my situation and how long I had been waiting at this point, I asked for reassurance that somebody was going to show and if the telephonist could call me back to let me know the name of the mechanic and how long it would be before they would arrive. The telephonist told me she would call. I got no such phone call however I did get a call from a mechanic to say he was 10 minutes away. When he arrived, he was not driving a registered AA truck or van, he was a subcontractor and was unable to help me fix the flat tire or temporarily replace it. All he could do was tow my car to a place within 20 kilometers of where I was. I had to have the car towed to my mother's estate and then I had to personally organize to have the tire removed and brought to a repair shop and then have it put back on the car. I joined the AA because of its stellar reviews but my experience has been anything but. I will not be renewing my membership.

We recognize how exhausting and frustrating it must have been to deal with multiple delays, unkept promises of call-backs, and a roadside assistance arrival that ultimately could not resolve your flat tire or provide the expected support. Waiting for such a prolonged period, only to have to arrange the tire repair and transport independently, is far from the level of service we aim to deliver to our members.

We take your experience very seriously. We are initiating an internal review of the communication breakdowns that occurred during your service request, including the inaccurate arrival estimates and the failure to provide the promised update. Additionally, we are evaluating our contractor dispatch procedures to ensure that sent units are properly equipped to assist with tire issues effectively. Your comments are crucial in helping us address these operational shortcomings so we can prevent similar situations from happening in the future.

Waited nearly 1 hour on phone as the…

Waited nearly 1 hour on phone as the Bot service could not deal with my issue, After getting thru to a young lady she did not reply to what I was trying to get across to her and then hung up the call. A shambolic customer service is putting it lightly. This kind of behavior should not be allowed. A total waste of an hour of my downtime that I will not get back. My advice is to avoid AA as the customer service is non existent.

Car breakdown cover

As always you receive what you're entitled to without having to drag it out of them. Courteous and efficient on the phone. I wouldn't be without AA cover.

Paul was extremely nice and positive…

Paul was extremely nice and positive person. He fixed the problem in 15 minutes, So I could drive back home-that made my day! Arrived in about 15 to 20 minutes from the time I called the AA wich is great! Brilliant service! Happy to have membership. Thank you guys!!!
