Woodcraft Windows Anmeldelser

An excellent firm to deal with for replacement of our old single-glazed windows with wooden double-glazed units, including two large bays. Both admin. staff and fitters were very professional and pleasant to deal with. Very little dust and disruption in our house full of books. We are delighted with the result and would not hesitate to recommend this company.

13 windows (single/double/triple and bay - the whole gambit!) - one set of French double doors, all painted the colours we wanted in side and out - installed in four days and finished in 7.

Excellent quality and so nice to have a draft proof house again.

Tidy, polite, hard working - happy to fix snagging on the go - asked if they weren't sure and listened to comments.

It has been a pleasure to have Woodencraft Windows work on our home. We've already recommended them twice.

Vadim, Peter, Mark, Sarah and team, thank you very much.

We arranged 3 quotes from 3 different companies for our new front door and although there wasn’t much difference in price, the customer service from Woodcraft Windows was by far the best.
From our initial enquiry to the tidy completion of the job we were totally satisfied and the door is top notch! Would recommend!

Excellent service from initial consultation which wasn’t hurried making sure I was happy every aspect of the job with design & colour staining of the windows to match existing. Quality of product is was very good. Installation was efficient and professional by the 4 guys who were helpful and polite. They cleaned up after the work was completed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the company.

The company was brilliant from beginning to end and clearly take pride in their work.

Many people had commented on the excellent quality, design and even installation the door.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone

The whole process, from survey to completion, was handled professionally, and we are very pleased with the end result. Not cheap, but worth the money.

Excellent installation. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company. The team worked tidily, quietly and diligently for 3 days. Great skill. Good quotation, invoicing and scheduling process too.

We have used this company before for replacement windows and would highly recommend them for highly quality windows and a professional job at competitive prices. Minimum disruption and workman leave everything clean and tidy

We ordered 4 double-glazed sliding sash windows with Woodcraft Windows. Our house was built with wooden sliding sashes but sadly someone ripped them out in the 1990s and installed uPVC instead. I got quotes from a number of companies and replica windows were three times the price of Woodcraft Windows. I didn't want more uPVC - even the sliding sashes look plasticky in my view. It was a long wait for delivery but we wanted a quality product and so chose this firm over others.
Unfortunately we are not happy with the installation of the windows or the size of the bathroom window in particular. They are very deep from outside to inside and protrude into the room.
The bedroom curtains hide the issue but our bathroom window looks ridiculous as it protrudes into the room by 3 inches and looks like it has been fitted into the wrong position - the outside alcove is quite deep. I cannot hide the depth of the window with curtains in a bathroom and having looked forward to my lovely new window at the top of the stairs, I now close the door to hide my embarrassment and I feel that I have been taken for a ride. I have had an expert window installer look at the windows and quote for moving the bathroom window back into the alcove but he says doing this would damage the integrity of the brickwork and has advised against. His view is the window is the wrong size and we should never have been sold this size window.
The workmanship on installation was very shoddy - the so-called 'making good' was nothing of the kind. The workmen smeared decorators caulk several inches away from the edge of the window and the bathroom now needs redecorating. In 2 of the bedrooms a similar mess was made with the caulk and the filling was dreadful.
They also knocked off a load of tiles from our dormer window which cost nearly £2,000 to fix and claim it was not their fault because the house is so old. They couldn't get the window up the stairs, despite a site survey having been carried out, and refused to get any safety equipment to fit the window from the outside. They used ladders instead and brute force, which I think is why the tiles fell off.

All in all my advice would be to avoid this firm.
We have waited 6 weeks now for them to come and sort out the damage to our decor and they have now cancelled a second time at the last minute, this time citing a job over running as the excuse. Why didn't my job overrun so that you didn't need to come back Woodcraft?
I have some large windows still to replace and I will most definitely not be going to Woodcraft Windows. Having forked out £3k per window to get a quality product, I am reconsidering uPVC - that's how bad a job this firm has done!
I have given them two star because the windows look nice from the outside and they seem to work well in terms of sliding open/ closed, locking, keeping out the drafts. The mandatory air vent is also very good and doesn't show on the outside. If your original wooden sash windows were 155mm and you need to redecorate anyway you might consider this firm. If they were the standard 122mm be aware that even if they do a good installation job, the windows will protrude into the room. It is not a good look on a small bathroom window and you may as well leave the horrible old uPVC in place rather than trying to get the original look again.

The whole experience from Ged coming for an initial visit through to the installation was very professional and well managed. Very happy with the new windows. Happy to recommend Woodcraft Windows

For the second time the team at Woodcraft did everything perfectly from survey, to order, to installation, and follow up to ensure all was to our satisfaction. They are not the cheapest but neither should they be given the quality of the product and the service. In the end quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

Woodcraft windows were top quality from the first interaction to the last. They did everything they promised in the time frame they quoted. I was particularly impressed with the quality of craftsmanship when they built the alcatrading around the windows from timber when they were being installed. All the work men were prompt, polite and efficient. i'd highly recommend this company.

We have just had (June 2023) sash windows supplied and installed by Woodcraft Windows and we couldn’t be happier. The whole process from initial quotation to completed installation was excellent. The windows themselves are superb, the installation team of three very polite and hard working men cleared up after themselves so we’ll that we barely needed to do anything after they had gone. The pricing was competitive and we were happy with the phasing of the payments.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Really good service. Good quality windows and door. Installers polite, thorough, excellent at making good and leaving the place very clean and tidy- great firm

Woodcraft windows replaced our dorma windows and french door. From survey to installation all the team were professional, polite, and clean and tidy workers.

I am happy to recommend them.

All excellent. Great looking period style double glazed windows. Great quality, service and communication. House has been transformed and windows look as if they have always been there.

This couldn’t have gone any better. We had a door and window fitted and everything ran like clockwork from start to finish. We wanted the door glass to match the previous etched glass and Woodcraft made sure it did. The guys fitted both in a day, really cracked on and did a marvellous job and left everything clean and tidy. We are really happy with the end result and very happy to recommend Woodcraft

We were very happy with the quality of service, work, and product provided by Woodcraft Windows. The sales and installation process was smooth and well organized, the team friendly and knowledgeable. The windows and door are well made and aesthetically pleasing. I would definitely recommend this company!

It was a pleasure to deal with Woodcraft Windows from beginning to end. We asked them to replace and match our 1930's front and side doors. We are very pleased. Not only are the doors a perfect match and of good quality, they are insulated and sound proofed and it makes a huge difference. We would also like to praise the work of the fitters for their tidy job.
