Tanzania Specialists are simply the best
Right from the start, we were able to design a personalised Safari with Joseline Anthony, that met our needs and wants. She was brilliant - patient, attentive, creative, and flexible. She also supported us with visa concerns, and advice at many levels for months before our Safari, during, and after. It was so good to have this one constant and reliable presence that we knew that was only a Whatsapp or email away. The first part of our Safari, a two day hike up and down the first leg of the 'coca cola' route of Mount Kilimanjaro was supported beautifully by our guides Rama and Wilson. They introduced us to the term polepole, and were knowledgeable, kind, caring, funny, and well organised. Much of the experience was about the enjoyment of their company. Our cook was fantastic, and our porters attentive, energetic, kind and friendly. It was an amazing experience. For the rest of our Safari through many of the National Parks, and witnessing the wildebeest migration across the Mara River, we had our new friend Michael Joseph. We were truly blessed to have this wonderful soul immerse us in the best of Tanzania. We saw all the big 5 and so much more. We didn't just glance them, we experienced them in their natural habitat going about their normal business - it was magical. Michael taught us about his culture, Swahili language, and genuinely cared for our welfare, our experience, and our happiness. He was always there to support us and deliberately learned and catered for our individual needs, beyond what might be expected. He was a wonderful driver, cheerful, knowledgeable, generous, and kind friend. Our Zanzibar drivers and the hotels we stayed at were all wonderful with outstanding staff. We finished our Safari with a lifetime of memories and new friends - what more could we ask for? There is a reason that there are two Tanzania Specialist Safari vehicles to one of a range of others in the country - it's simply because they are the best.

Amazing Family Safari Experience in Tanzania
We had a great experience with Tanzania Specialist from beginning to end. From our very first contact via e-mail and WhatsApp, communication was friendly, clear and uncomplicated. The whole trip was perfectly organized and adapted to our needs.
During the safari, everything went smoothly, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the experience. Our guide was professional, knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about spotting animals, answering our questions and helping us discover the beauty of the different national parks we visited. His passion and experience made the trip even more special. The lodge staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially with our children. We always felt very well looked after. The tented camps were our favourite places to stay.

Safari was amazing
Safari was amazing. Everything was very well organized. And Pascal our guide was the nicest person we could have on our trip. Very good driver, lots of knowledge and also gave us the space we needed if necessary. Everything - request or question - he made happen. 5 starts to him.
The last hotel we had was a bit disappointing and by far the worst of our stays. But it did the job and the personal was very friendly.
Regarding the one day hike on Kilimanjaro, our guide was good, but absolutely not needed. If we knew this was such an easy hike we would have gone by ourselves and only needed a driver. This should have been better communicated to us. Also, until we told him that we booked our connecting flight in the evening ourselves he was very stressed because apparently you guys made a lot of pressure on him that we will be on time. He only wanted to do half of the distance. Only after we told him that the flight is booked by us, he admitted that we have plenty of time. It felt like very unnecessary stress.
In general we had a great experience, and communication with you guys was always easy and we got quick responses. Much appreciated.

Amazingly knowledgeable guides/drivers, great travel consultants
Your guide/driver Peter 'Cornel' Venust was amazing. He has such a depth of knowledge about the animals' behavior and the Parks. He did a great job of avoiding the crowds and finding many private moments. We saw things in 9 days that I didn't see in my 4 years of living in Tanzania going on safari. Also, Rogers, Travel Consultant, did an excellent job of working with me to develop the bespoke safari I wanted. I had a good framework itinerary based on my prior experience; however he added value with his many, useful suggested adjustments. He was flexible when I asked for changes based of flight dates.

The main credit goes to our super guide/driver Saaid who managed to find us all the cats possible including 5 cheetahs and four leopards with dozens of lions and 8 rhinos in the crater!
The lodges were very comfortable with excellent dinners- we had lunch boxes on the safari since Saaid took us from morning to evening trips without mid day breaks which was the best possible way to do the safari
In all it was the perfect safari experience for us and we could not have wished for a better experience

Fabulous experience
Fabulous experience. I was in Kenya/Tanzania for 10 days in July. Everything was well organised, the guides were knowledgeable and the campsites/resorts were great.
Special mention for George Malley who made by Tanzania stay extremely memorable. He is your man for birds in future, hwhich was my primary interest. His unhurried approach, his caring nature esp for the forest/wildlife were outstanding (in my 10 days I didn't see anyone else who respected the forest as much)

Highly recommended company!!
Firstly Jesca was amazing in helping us tailor our trip and arrange all the bookings and hotels , we changed our minds on a few things and she just was amazing in getting us exactly what we wanted
We arrived at Kilimanjaro and Omani our transfer driver was super amazing in helping us get some clothes in a village as our luggage had been lost
And Riziki was just as amazing at tracking our luggage down and getting it to us 4 hrs away in Karatu just early the next evening
And the main event of course was the safari and we really cannot speak highly enough of Elibariki our driver and guide. Bariki tailored our experience exactly to what we wanted. We were a team to share ideas!
We saw all of the big 5 and Bariki went above and beyond to make sure we got as close as possible to get the best of experiences and the best photos! Bariki taught us many Swahili sayings and words which helped us to really feel part of the community at each of the accommodations where we stayed.
The chosen accomodation was brilliant with amazing customer service.
To top it off when Bariki took us to Arusha airport to catch our flight to Zanzibar we expected that to be the last of our interactions with Tanzania Specialist as we had decided to go alone on the Zanzibar trip but we were met at the airport by another Tanzania Specialist representative who made sure we were through check in and security at the airport before leaving us.
Cannot recommend this company enough!
Initially reserved, we found out Tanzania Specialist are the best company to travel with and their staff speak so highly of them as an employer which goes a long way.

Safari
When it came to game drive, it was very good and we got to see and experience a lot. However, when it came to planning, coordination, and have all the essential of the trip in place, it was mediocre. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Delayed pickup, incorrect room assignment, incorrect flight booking, information coming from two different persons was totally different. Like customer support had no idea was sales rep had promised and it made for a very frustrating experience.

Our family Tanzanian safari and…
Our family Tanzanian safari and Zanzibar trip was in celebration of my 60th birthday in July and I have to say from my initial enquiry to ongoing dialogue via WhatsApp call / message and emails with Katia, our travel consultant, was great as she was very responsive in answering questions and helping to map out our itinerary, including internal flights to Zanzibar!
Our programme, lodges and luxury camp were well thought out with breathtaking locations and excellent food which was plentiful (breakfast, lunch and dinner)!
On pick up at Kilimanjaro Airport, our Safari guide Jocob was so friendly, insightful and looked out for our every need!
Not only did he give us so much interesting information about the history and culture of Tanzania; it’s people, animals, the national parks, conservation areas, etc., he was so good at spotting / seeking out animals during our 4 day safari along with positioning us in great spots to get full view and great picture of the animals and magnificent landscapes!
We were also grateful for the opportunity to visit a Masai village to learn in person about their culture, history and way of life. All of which enriched our whole experience in Tanzania!
We are a family of four (mum, dad and two adult children) who thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tanzania with our guide Jacob who went above and beyond, even seeking out a doctor one morning when I wasn’t feeling my best self!
I highly recommend Tanzania Specialist to anyone seeking a quality private Safari in Tanzania, even Kenya, as my nephew is now liaising with them re his planned Safari to the Masai Mara in March.

We booked last minute and they sorted everything out including a fantastic guide. Very varied levels of accommodation as we wanted. Food at Giraffe Manor was fabulous. All the team working at the various sites were brilliant - coudn't do enough for us. Only slight criticism is that we had an internal flight and the luggage limit is different to international flights so be careful of that. Otherwise our agent was brilliant! Amazing holiday

Dream Family Holiday in Tanzania
We started planning our family trip over a year ago. We wanted to bring our family including eleven individuals across three generations. From the very beginning we were impressed with Joseline’s communication and attention to detail. She responded quickly to any questions or concerns. Every aspect of our trip, from pick up in Arusha to drop off at the airport in Zanzibar, was perfect. Our guides, Simon and Julius, were professional, polite, and knowledgeable. The accommodations and meals at every location were excellent. Our family appreciated seeing the many animals up close. We appreciated visiting a local school, a Maasai village, and taking a bicycle tour. When two of our family members were ill, Janeth contacted us immediately offering support. It was truly an experience we won’t forget. Thank you to all at Tanzania Specialists who made our family holiday the best ever! We highly recommend this excellent company!

The safari was great!
The safari was amazing, our guide was great! The lodges were wonderful and the staff were friendly. I was slightly disappointed that when we had someone come to sell us excursions in Zanzibar, she told us a price, repeated the price, and then entered in a higher price and was shocked when we noticed and I canceled. Very disappointed with that and though the resort was amazing in Zanzibar, it was disappointing to be so far away from the towns, it was as just too expensive to take a taxi or to book excursions that were cheaper online. However, overall we had a wonderful time.
