An Unforgettable Tanzanian Safari and Zanzibar Experience

A heartfelt thank you to George for planning such an incredible itinerary and selecting the most wonderful accommodation camps for my 6-day safari through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, followed by 3 relaxing days at Fun Beach Resort in Zanzibar.

Every detail was thoughtfully planned, from the choice of camps to the seamless arrangements throughout the trip. The combination of thrilling wildlife encounters, stunning landscapes, beautiful accommodation, and the peaceful beach experience in Zanzibar made this journey truly exceptional. George did an outstanding job of creating an itinerary that exceeded my expectations and allowed me to enjoy every moment of this unforgettable adventure.

A very special and heartfelt thank you to my safari guide, Boanerge (Bonny), who made this trip exceptionally memorable. His professionalism, knowledge, attentiveness, and genuine passion for what he does were evident throughout the journey. He went above and beyond to ensure I had the best possible experience, paying attention to the smallest details and always making sure I was comfortable, happy, and able to enjoy every moment. His dedication and warm personality made the safari even more special.

Travelling solo, it was particularly wonderful to feel so well cared for and to experience Tanzania in such a meaningful and memorable way.

Wir hatten eine traumhafte Reise durch Tansania und sind immer noch begeistert von den vielen unvergesslichen Erlebnissen! Schon die Planung mit Kerstin von Tanzania Specialist war von Anfang an hervorragend. Sie hat uns aufmerksam zugehört, ist auf all unsere Wünsche eingegangen und hat mit viel Geduld und Engagement dafür gesorgt, dass unsere Reise genau so wurde, wie wir sie uns vorgestellt hatten. Die Kommunikation war jederzeit schnell, herzlich und zuverlässig.

Ein ganz besonderes Lob gilt unserem Guide Mbalakai, der unsere Safari zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht hat. Mit seinem unglaublichen Wissen über die Tierwelt, seinem Gespür für die Tiere und seiner ruhigen, umsichtigen Fahrweise hat er uns einzigartige Momente ermöglicht. Wir hatten unglaublich viel Spaß mit ihm und haben gemeinsam so viel gelacht. Manchmal hatten wir tatsächlich das Gefühl, er könnte mit den Tieren sprechen! Ein absolut großartiger Guide, den wir jederzeit wieder buchen würden.

Auch die gesamte Organisation war perfekt: von den Flügen und Transfers bis hin zu den wunderschönen Unterkünften hat alles reibungslos funktioniert. Besonders begeistert waren wir von der Tented Lodge Lake Burunge, die mit ihrer einzigartigen Lage und ihrem besonderen Charme ein echtes Highlight unserer Reise war.

Was uns neben der atemberaubenden Natur und den faszinierenden Tierbeobachtungen besonders in Erinnerung bleiben wird, sind die Menschen vor Ort. Überall wurden wir herzlich empfangen und unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit behandelt.

Diese Reise war ein echtes Erlebnis fürs Leben! Wir haben so viel gesehen, erlebt und gelacht, dass es kaum in Worte zu fassen ist. Tanzania Specialist hat uns eine Safari ermöglicht, die wir für immer in Erinnerung behalten werden.

One of the largest safari companies in Tanzania which is important. Because, no matter how far from civilization you are, there's always another truck nearby to help should there be a problem.

Our 9 day trip went without a hitch. Our driver/guider, Emmanuel, was very good. Camps/lodges were excellent.

Saw all we wanted to see and more.

Would use this company again.

Our safari guide, Kornel, was absolutely amazing!
Not only was he incredibly kind, warm, and friendly, but he was also extremely professional and knowledgeable. He planned our safari perfectly, took us to the most beautiful and incredible places, and made sure we had the best possible experience every single day.
What made Kornel truly special, however, was his genuine kindness and care. During some challenging moments, he was always there for us, offering support, helping us, and doing everything he could to make us feel comfortable and safe.
He went above and beyond in every possible way, and by the end of our trip, we felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend rather than just a guide.
Kornel made our safari an unforgettable experience, and we couldn't recommend him more highly. We feel incredibly lucky to have had him as our guide!

Tanzania Specialist was highly recommended from a friend and they lived up to their advanced billing! 5-star experience in every aspect of the safari, from planning to execution. Great accommodations, fantastic A+ game drive guide (Makalo), easy pick up and drop off transfers, and we saw every animal on our wish list. Truly amazing and I highly recommend them!

The journey started at the airport with pick up and transfer to our first hotel, guide was in the lobby next morning as promised and away we went, what a week, lots of travel, very attentive guide, looked after us all week, lodges were great, food at most location was exceptional. We visited all the main National parks and sighted all the big five and many more. All in all great experience but also very tiring, as long as you dont mind the travelling great experience I wont forget, the balloon ride over the Serengeti was the highlight.

Our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar was magnificent! Our guide Sigfried (Siggy) was super. He had a vast knowledge of the animals and the three national parks we visited. He was a fantastic driver and also very polite and considerate. My highlife was the hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti and would absolutely recommend to anyone doing a safari. Our agent (Prince Stanley) was also top notch and our accommodation was beautiful ranging from glamping in tents to Lodges. My husband and I suffered a couple of days of stomach/diarrhea problems and that has to be the only negative thing about the trip. Even though “filtered water” is supplied, I’d stick to plastic bottle water and stay away from salads.
Great trip of a lifetime and would definitely recommend Tanzania Specialist.

Absolutely Amazing!!Tanzania Specialist booked all the accommodations we asked for which made sorting this trip out so easy with great communication from them by emails and phone calls. We spent a week on safari with such a knowledgeable and patient guide with a great sense of humour AUGUSTINO GEORGE UPATU you made our whole experience unforgettable, he told us about the Animals we encountered and the trees as well as some swahili words which my husband and myself appreciated we couldn't of asked for a more professional patient guide who truly had a passion for what he did he really looked after us for which we thank him for even to taking us to the airport to go to zanzibar for a week. All our accommodations were fantastic especially the signature serengeti luxury camp was amazing especially being able to listen to the wildlife around you at night. The food we enjoyed at each location we went to. We managed to fit in the Tarangire national park and serengeti 3 nights with a balloon ride in the serengeti with the company miracle absolutely Fabulous then onto the Ngorongoro. We both totally recommend Tanzania Specialist and especially our guide AUGUSTINO GEORGE UPATU who made everyday just magical and yes we got to see the big five with so much more as well.

Tanzania Specialists were absolutely amazing from the moment we booked, to the moment the holiday ended and if i could give them 10 stars, i would. They were incredible. We were a family of 6 and from the very moment we landed in Kilimanjaro, we were greeted with a smiling face and everything from that point on was totally taken care of. The camps and hotels that were chosen for us were truly spectacular - especially the “sound of Silence” in the mid Serengeti. It was truly incredible. Our guide for the Safari week was a gentleman called Godson Bwache, and what a gentleman he was. He was extremely knowledgable and got us to places to witness the most amazing experiences of our lives. He was also very kind, patient and very funny. We had such an amazing time and he felt like family to us by the end of the trip. Our second week was spent at the Pwani Beach resort in Zanzibar - and again - it was truly amazing. It was honestly the holiday of a lifetime - and we could not recommend Tanzania specialists enough - and even more so - Godson Bwache. Thank you all for making this the trip of a lifetime…

Every detail of our trip was planned exceptionally well, making this a truly life-changing experience—one I will never forget! From beginning to end, Tanzania Specialist was there for us every step of the way, ensuring everything went smoothly. Our safari experience was absolutely amazing, and flying to Zanzibar afterward was the perfect way to continue our adventure. My time in Zanzibar and at the resort was wonderful, with beautiful surroundings and unforgettable memories.

My only suggestion for improvement would be for the Zanzibar resort to offer a full-board package, similar to the other resorts we stayed at during our trip. The dinner menu at La Luna was the same every night, and the cost of dining was higher than I would have preferred. More variety in the menu and a full-board option would have made the experience even better.

Overall, I give Tanzania Specialist and Joseline an A+! The trip was thoughtfully organized, beautifully executed, and exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Despite my suggestions for improvement in Zanzibar, I would absolutely recommend Tanzania Specialist to friends and family.

Incredible experience all around! We didn’t have to worry about a thing while we were there, accommodations, travel to and from the airports, it was all seamless. A completely stress free remarkable experience! Special praise goes to our guide Miraji! Would recommend to anyone booking to ask for him as their guide on this trip. The most kind, selfless, caring, easy going, knowledgeable and fun guide we could’ve ever dreamt of. We felt like family immediately and throughout the whole trip his dedication to our safety and happiness was paramount. Cannot thank him enough for everything. Trip of a lifetime for our honeymoon and we would recommend Tanzania Specialist and Miraji as their guide to anyone interested in this trip.

Dealing with Tananzia Specialist was very dissapointing. It appeared once we signed the contract to go with T S we were just a number. We tried numerous times to contact them and have heard nothing back Very dissapointed

Excellent and knowledgeable guide, accommodations good, food excellent. Jeep in good shape, though cramped. When picked up at JRO, car battery was dead. Communication with TS wasn't as responsive as we hoped, but ok in the end. Overall program well planned, except northern Serengeti Mara River crossing location tent camp was too far away.

My guide, Justin Lulu, was simply the best I could have wished for! He was friendly, professional, patient, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable, always with a smile. He knows the national parks like the back of his hand and takes you to the best spots in no time. Thank you for these amazing safaris! I highly recommend him!

Tanzania Specialists delivers! Our trip to Tanzania & Zanzibar was a dream come true. Our driver/guide Kolle was gifted at spotting animals and positioning the jeep for photos. The mid-range accommodations were outstanding, the safari vehicle was comfortable, and water was always available in the cooler. The food exceeded our expectations. We loved being able to build our own trip! Communication was great. Tanzania Specialists has tons of employees & vehicles in case of problems (not that we had any). We ended our safari in the N. Serengeti in mid-September at the Great Migration - it was just amazing! And our Zanzibar resort, NEXT PARADISE, was stunning, with employees who consistently went above and beyond. If you are contemplating booking a trip, don't hesitate. This company delivers all it promises.

The biggest shout-out goes to our AMAZING guide, Chacha! His knowledge, kindness, patience and passion for wildlife were simply exceptional. He taught us so much about the animals, their behaviour, the landscapes, plants, culture and the importance of conservation. He showed us the beauty of slowing down, being patient and respecting nature. My partner even said Chacha brought out the child in him again, reigniting his curiosity and inspiring a genuine passion for wildlife conservation. That alone says everything about what an extraordinary guide he is!

A huge thank you also to Venture, the wonderful photographer and videographer. His professionalism, friendliness and passion for photography were amazing. We loved the previews he shared during our safari and can't wait to see the final photos and videos!

This was so much more than a holiday. It was an unforgettable journey filled with learning, laughter, incredible wildlife and wonderful people.
