The Biology and Chemistry videos are extremely beneficial for taking notes, testing yourself or just revising content. They cover everything in as much detail as you need for A level, I found them really helpful!

Tailored Tutors really helped a lot for my understanding of A level Biology and in my revision for the final exams

Tailored tutors is an excellent help for A levels Biology and Chemistry ( I didn’t take Maths so can’t speak to that). I watched their tutorials and their exam paper walk throughs. I found their exam paper walk throughs exceptional as they analyse each and every question, give their own attempt and interpret the mark scheme. Exam paper walk throughs which are in that much detail are quite difficult to find on youtube, so Tailored Tutors is invaluable with regard to their detailed walkthroughs. I used them regularly up to my exams and achieved A’s in both biology and chemistry. Thank you so much Elena, Rich T and Rich W if you are reading this!

Tailored tutors is a wonderful platform, alongside everything that they do they also help and advice us during mentally challenging times and are here to pick up the pieces everytime we experience the more stressful parts of student life.
If you are on the fence, do the free trial and take FULL advantage of it, nag rich as much as you want and get the most out of what they have to offer in order to make the best decision.
Rich is amazing at building rapports with his students and constantly puts in soo much hard work and dedication into this platform. It’s worth a try.

I'm now in my Final year of Medical school
I was just telling my dad how I had a chemistry tutor for one session after paying £40 for the hour during year 13 in 2019. I gave her a chemistry question that I was struggling with and she didn't know how to solve it. I never went back. I then purchased the chemistry course from TT, sent Richard the same question and he answered it showing me all the working out for it (moles etc). I remember binge watching all the videos before exams wishing I had started the course earlier. I ended up with A*AA grades and was part of the final cohort of doing actual exams before COVID.

I am so grateful to the fantastic support offered by Tailored Tutors that helped me achieve a very comfortable A* in Biology and so take up my Oxbridge place. The tuition is far more affordable, targeted and rounded than most private tutors. Rich T is incredibly dedicated in ensuring the course content gets down to what you really need to know. But more importantly the well-being tips, weekly live sessions to keep you motivated and support during the difficult exam period made the A level a breeze. Really every aspect has been thought carefully about, with unique and effective exam technique tips. I can not recommend tailored tutors highly enough. Thank you !!

I cannot begin to thank Tailored Tutors and especially Rich T (Biology) enough for their support and help in my Biology A level. Thanks to their amazing resources, personalised guidance, live tutoring sessions and predicted papers, I was able to get my predicted grade from an A to an A*, and on results day I finally got an A* in Biology which allowed me to get into my dream Russel Group university. Tailored tutors have been better than any other private tutor or tuition company, and in my opinion the price is definitely worth it due to the amount of revision and learning materials and live sessons. I really recommend Tailored Tutors to anyone taking Biology A Level. I would also like to add that Rich T has some amazing mental health/well being tips for during stressful exam periods which really helped me during my A levels and mock exams, for example box breathing techniques. The TT method for revision was also extremely transferrable to my other A levels too and has changed the way I revise and learn forever. Thank you so much to everyone at Tailored Tutors!!

I'm a student who has been using TT for both year 12 and 13 and honestly this was the only thing I used for both bio and chem. Using TT was a very effective and efficient way for me to stay on top of my school work and the tutors make it very easy and simple to understand all the content in both bio and chem. Not only that but all of their vids are completely relevant to each exam board which was very helpful because when my teachers in school would give us too much information about a certain topic I didn't need to stress about knowing it all. I used to dread making notes from the textbook because it used to take me hoursss to understand the content and then have to condense it, but TT made it really easy and I honestly used to enjoy making notes as it was really simple and I didn't need to think of ways to condense anything as they've already done that for you. This way I was able to learn ahead of my class and my teachers lessons were honestly just revision for me as I already knew the content the class was going over. One of my favourite part about TT is the exam walkthroughs because they explain everything and its simple to follow. The other thing which really helped me for OCR bio and chem is their walkthrough for all the MCQs. I found the MCQs really difficult because there's never an explanation as to why you got something wrong but both the bio and chem tutors in TT do a great job at explaining the right answer. The last thing which really helped was their predictions for the A level papers. They would release 3 predicted papers for each paper (so a total of 9 papers) which was really helpful to practice. They were also very good predictions as far as predictions go. With all of this said, no matter what resources you use you will never get the grades you want if u don't put in all the hard work yourself. That means even though all of TTs resources are great, if you don't put in the necessary hours in you will not achieve what you want. Tutors and other resources are there to make it easier to learn and understand the content and teach you exam techniques but at the end of the day you'll be the one sitting the exam.

I love Tailored Tutors so much. I used it for Chemistry and Biology. It literally saved my Chemistry and Biology grades and For chemistry Rich explains everything so well and very clearly, I completely depended on his tutorials to understand the content. This goes to Biology as well. The thing I love about this website is that you can look up any type of questions you are struggling with and practise very specific skills that you need to improve on. Overall I highly recommend. It is definitely worth the price.

The past papers or topic papers were very helpful. I used them as my school made us self study some topics e.g. Plant hormones so with my textbook and TT method, I was able to learn the topics before my exam. I achieved an A in Biology.

As a parent of a child who used TT I would 100% recommend tailored tutors to anyone. It’s definitely worth the price. We had purchased the biology and chemistry modules and they are fantastic. My son found quick support through messaging, live classes on various things such as past papers and helpful exam prep materials/classes. I like it very focused on exam techniques and key words to get you top marks. My son achieved A's in both as a result

This is my second review!! TT deserves all the praise for helping me achieve amazing grades:) Results day was yesterday, and I achieved an A* in Maths and Chemistry, an A in Biology and Further Maths:) Now I'm off to study Chemistry at Oxford! Wooohooo! The TT team really helped me manage the pressure of meeting my offer by conducting frequent live sessions for each subject they offer and by responding to comments. Completing the predicted papers every Sunday leading up to the exams was incredibly helpful and significantly improved my exam technique. Ronnie's and Rich W's predicted papers for Maths and Chemistry were unbelievably accurate, containing many questions of the same style! Thank you, TT:)

I used TT for biology, chemistry and maths. TT is amazing. The tutors reply really quickly with detailed replies and were very patient when I didn’t understand something. The live classes were an excellent source of exam technique that just isn’t taught at school. No one knows exam technique like these tutors.

For chemistry, when I did a practise paper around April I knew I was in trouble because I couldn’t answer most questions. As a result, I did a speed-run through the course, did a lot of exam questions (which is where the great organisation of the website and traffic light system really came in helpful) and got an A in my mock. Then I spent most of study leave doing maths. However, because of how concise the videos are and because I had a good understanding of topics I remembered lots and the predicted papers saved me for my exams. I got an A!

With biology, find the videos really helpful for the diagrams which help me remember things because I’m much better at remembering diagrams than words. In textbooks, the diagrams weren’t very helpful because they were overly complicated. Furthermore, textbooks in biology have a crazy amount of waffle and it’s unclear what you actually need to know. TT only tells you what you need for the exams, which really helps reduce stress. Rich emphasised the importance of learning exam technique as well as content, which you don’t get in schools so much. I found that the exam-type questions were really helpful with how they were put together to easily find on the website. Similarly with chemistry, because TT gave me a strong foundation, I was able to get an A in my final exam by using the predicted papers despite doing very little revision for it in the month before the exam. Therefore, if you revised properly with TT you should be able to get an A star easily.

Maths was always a bad subject for me, but Ronnie and the maths team made it easy for me to get an A. I got a D in the mocks in April and thought I was doomed. Ronnie’s tutorials and the tutors’ guidance and response to my questions changed everything for me. I didn’t need to work through anymore useless textbook questions. By repeating exam questions using the traffic light system and videos I gained a deep understanding of how to answer even the most difficult questions. Maths started to click and even become fun. The integration and trigonometry tutorials were particularly helpful as Ronnie taught me techniques that saved me so much time. You can’t find a better, more supportive teacher than Ronnie. I think if I had started using TT earlier than I could have easily gotten an A star with their help.

Now I’m going to Durham University to study Biological Sciences! I’m very thankful to the whole TT team and the courses offered were worth every penny.

Had so many resources and explained everything so well in such good detail. The questions and predicted papers also helped so much.

I went from getting U, E and D's to achieving a B in my final A-Level after only a couple months of use. I regret not using Tailored Tutors earlier. I'm very pleased with this grade as it's exactly what I hoped for!

I bought Tailored Tutors (TT) earlier this year and used it up until the end of Biology Paper 3, so a couple of months. I was struggling with Biology at school so I needed something to work outside of lessons. My overall judgement is that Tailored Tutors is an excellent resource for students to work on. I will explore the negatives and positives below:

Negatives:
1 - Certain videos are outdated or missing. (The team did however address comments on pages asking where the videos were)
2 - Tailored Tutors videos did not load on my school's wifi so I couldn't use it out of lesson without my data. When contacted, my school administrator said TT tried to help but the issue was never resolved as they claim it wasn't a fault with the school!
3 - The cost is a bit much but it's much cheaper than a competitor I've seen. It's currently £79 for one subject so I'd probably make it £20 cheaper to be more accessible.

Positives:
1 - The videos are relatively short, packed with everything you need to know. Rich doesn't focus on anything you don't need to know.
2 - Resources are compiled for you on each video and different areas of the site
3 - Rich uses different colours and ways of laying things out and acronyms, a proven way of memorising, to help you remember the content.
4 - Rich works incredibly hard for exam season to deliver predicted papers, last minute tips and reassurances to students as well as providing livestreams to help students cool down after each paper.
5 - Tutors and their helpers like Trudy are very knowledgeable in their subject and generally quick to respond to any questions.
6 - I received a refund for the rest of my subscription as exams were over and I no longer needed the service. This is excellent customer service and a gesture of goodwill.

I recommend that each student who uses Tailored Tutors is active in not only listening but also actually writing the lesson's content from scratch, just like Rich does in the video.
