The whole procedure went smoothly, was completed quicker than expected & the communications were good.
The only snag was the scaffolding remaining outside the house for almost 4 weeks despite promises that the it would be removed before the Christmas break.

Exceptional service
From start to finish the process of getting our solar panels fitted was exceptional. Timescales were adhered to, with all works completed to a high standard. Notably the electrician left the areas he was working in tidier than we left them! We are enjoying using the app associated with our installation and seeing how much energy we are able to generate even in January. Our property is a mid terrace with no rear access and the scaffolders were careful with our neighbours fence and worked swiftly to install and remove the scaffolding once work was completed.

Avoid Switch Together aka Solar Together
Solar Together was promoted by several local councils hence we though they were a sound option- how wrong that turned out!
They subcontracted to a company which went bust. Had they done their due diligence they would have known than the directors of their chosen company Green Energy Together (GET) had a track record of opening and closing Solar panels companies which eventually failed. GET was a very poorly run company and supplier were reluctant to deal with them (we later found out).
They installed our panels then disappeared so we had no batteries nor the equipment to use and store the solar energy generated
I lost all faith in Solar Together and their subcontractors eg iChoosir
I had to engage a different company to supply batteries and sort out my system. After two years we never got any payments from the Smart Export Guarantee as the correct paperwork was not prepared by the original company and subsequently different companies argued over who was responsible for the documentation.
So all in all I spent a lot of money within
Solar Together and got a very ropey system which didn’t give me any credit for the electricity I generated thru SEG
Solar Together are now known as Switch Together - my advice is to AVOID them. Look for a reputable SP supplier and avoid any input from the bureaucrats in the local council.

Dear Ian,
Thank you for your review. When GET was initially selected, they were able to meet all the necessary requirements and standards that we had in place. However, since they were a third-party company, our ability to intervene with their internal operations was limited. Despite our best efforts to assist and guide them, we were not successful in changing their behaviour, which ultimately resulted in the loss of their accreditations and their eventual liquidation.
After it became apparent that they could not fulfil their obligations, we informed all affected parties and implemented ways to assist affected customers. This included an adoption process for customers who did not receive their MCS certification, in which an alternate installer essentially adopted the system, providing the MCS certification as well as helping with DNO approval (if needed) and providing an IBG for those customers who accepted the adoption offer.
Since then, we have strengthened our vetting safeguards to prevent similar occurrences. Moving forward, we are committed to ensuring the issues experienced with GET UK are not repeated.

Very poor management of information
The solar panel fitter Rob was excellent - however the organisation that works at the solar bureau is haphazard at best. Poor communication and organisation of information between the numerous people that work in the office.
They didn’t calculate the total amount required to pay and they also requested additional payments to the first proposal.
It was ridiculous- Micheal (in the office)was the only saving grace. Hence the 1* review

Our installers can request an Installation Deposit Payment, which is a maximum of 15% of the total cost of installation. If your installer charged you an Installation Deposit Payment on confirmation of your installation appointment, then your final invoice will be for the remaining 75% installation deposit payment.
