Changing Policy
I recently upgraded my phone, when I called Swipe they made the whole process really easy. All documents emailed over straight away. I've never had to make a claim so can't comment on how easy that is. I've used this company for the last 3 years.

I made a claim on December 9th and uploaded all the required documents on time. As of December 23rd, my claim is still under review. Every two working days, they request additional documents, and even if you upload them immediately, they take another two working days to respond. This process is incredibly frustrating. Every time I call, they tell me the matter has been escalated to higher management, but they can't provide a clear timeframe.

Please avoid this company at all cost. Regardless of their pricing for adverts. It’s all a nonsense. They will take every step to reject your claim instead of helping you. I reported my phone stolen and was asked to provide,
-proof of usage,
-proof of blacklist,
-proof of purchase,
-proof reported to police
-proof of iCloud profile showing the device
-proof phone is in lost mode,
-Proof of ID
After providing all the documents, it will still be invalid. Every time it’s a 2 day wait time. Spoke to few collegues and they each said different information,
Please please don’t waste your time and money here. You’ll be asked for tons of documents and still get rejected

Dodgy and shady business practices
Watch out for this company and it's shady practice.
It does not want to approve any claims unless your phone was purchased from a major high street retailer. It doesn't tell you this fact until you try to make a claim and go through the hurdles of making a claim and providing a receipt.
Take your insurance elsewhere it isn't worth it I've paid my policy for a few years now.

How an insurance company should be!
Let's be honest... No one likes having to pay for insurance on things, as it's something we very rarely see any benefit from and when you do, its usually a battle. After years of paying for phone insurance I actually had a reason to claim as my teen lost their phone unfortunately. I have to say, Swipe have exceeded all my expectations! Yes the claim form is a bit intense and you do have to provide some forms from your phone network provider that I really had to fight for! But once all the docs were submitted, they approved the claim in 2 days. No drama. I needed to call Swipe three times for various reasons and they have proper call centres with the most helpful people. I am genuinely impressed. Well done Swipe for setting an example to other insurers!

Security Risks
Swipe Insurance emailed me to notify me that my policy would automatically be renewed. I emailed them to cancel. They then asked me to confirm my date of birth and postcode over email, which is insecure. I offered part of each, which should have been enough to verify me. They insisted I email the full details. No offer of a phone call or alternative way to verify that it's me. I'm sure if I was requesting a renewal, an email without these details would be fine. I'm looking forward to new regulation that prevents this poor behaviour in the future.
