I found dealing with George and Lauren really easy, they went over and above what was expected and at a really competitive price. Pleasure to work with.

No difficulty in choosing Surrey Gas to replace my ageing central heating boiler. From start to finish a very satisfying experience. The detailed quotation was received on the day of first contact, accepted and given an installation time and day. The installer arrived on time and completed the replacement around midday. His work process was well organised and diagnostic prowess faultless. The new boiler is working well, my kitchen and loft left spotless. This group of engineers and their management team impress me a great deal.

Really positive experience throughout , very customer focussed especially Lauren & George.There were a couple of small issues which were dealt with promptly.The fitter was very pleasant and kept everything very tidy.Would def recommend Surrey Gas if your looking for a competitive price and very good workmanship , all done with a smile(which does make a difference).

I had a really positive and helpful experience from start to finish. When I first called, Lauren was friendly and efficient, which gave me confidence straight away. George came to do my quote, answered all my follow-up questions and was always quick to get back to me. Paul carried out the installation and did an amazing job. He arrived on time, explained clearly how the boiler works, and made me feel comfortable leaving him to work on his own in my home. I would happily recommend them to anyone — they are a fantastic team.

Had a really positive experience with Surrey Gas. George came out to give us a quote - very competitive. Work for a new boiler and removal of old solar system started within two weeks. Engineer was friendly, knowledgeable and tidy. Would highly recommend.

After doing an online search, the quote came back as very competitive so I arranged for an onsite visit. after an inspection of the property and a discussion on the type of boiler, a fixed quote was given. once accepted, a date was agreed for the installation. Deposit paid, boiler installed as agreed in a very professional manner. Neat and tidy job performed by Mike.

The installation was great. Clean and no mess. Everything explained after it hd been installed. And great follow up registering the boiler etc.

The initial quote came via a virtual visit which was particularly convenient, and led to a very competitive quote. The work was then professionally completed within the day with no major hassles, so we are very happy with the whole process. Thanks too to George and Lauren at HQ who were very patient and helpful.

I recently hired Surrey Gas for the removal of my old boiler and hot water tank, and the supply and installation of a new boiler—at a fixed cost of £4,500.

While I’m happy with the product and the engineer was tidy and respectful of my home, the overall experience raised serious concerns about transparency and fairness.

By midday on day one, the old boiler and hot water tank had been removed, and the new boiler was already installed in situ. The only remaining tasks were wiring the new boiler and performing a chemical clean of the radiators - tasks which took just a couple of hours to complete.

However, rather than completing these tasks on day one, the engineer decided to finish work at 12.30pm and spent the next hour simply sitting in his van in my car park. I didn’t twig the relevance of this until later - see below.

I was left without hot water overnight - which I had been prepared for if this was genuinely a two day job. It’s frustrating because this wasn’t a worst-case scenario. The job could - and should - have been completed in one day. Instead, it felt like the schedule was extended to justify the two-day pricing, which undermines the company’s claims of transparency.

I gave the company a chance to respond, and was disappointed that George’s response focussed on the use of “peripatetic workers” and fixed pricing. He also provided a breakdown of tracking data from the engineers van. This is when the penny dropped for me. This is the reason the engineer was sat for an hour in my car park - to manipulate his tracking data! He did the same thing on day two but for a shorter time.
While George’s response may explain internal operations, it failed to address my real concern: this job didn’t take two days, and it felt like the time was padded to justify the pricing, evidenced by a lack of honesty in how the time was used on this job.

What would’ve truly demonstrated integrity is if they’d said, “We finished in one day - here’s £XXX back.” That kind of gesture would’ve aligned with their promise of transparency and built real trust.
Instead, I was offered technicalities over customer care. A boiler installation isn’t just about the fittings - it’s about fairness and respect for the customer’s time and money.

In short, while the installation itself was professionally carried out, the overall experience fell way short of Surrey Gas’s advertised values. I hope they take this feedback on board and improve how they treat future customers.

Update: Thank you for your reply, George. While I appreciate your engagement, I’m genuinely surprised by the tone and implications in your reply that my feedback was an attempt to secure a discount. That accusation is baseless and offensive.
Let me be clear: not once in my review - or in any prior communication - did I ask for a reduction in price. My feedback was about transparency and customer experience, not bargaining for discounts.

I settled your final invoice within hours of receiving it. That’s hardly the behaviour of someone trying to wrangle a price reduction.

To be accused of manufacturing complaints for a financial gain is deeply disrespectful. I gave considered, constructive feedback. If your company interprets that as opportunism, then perhaps you are misunderstanding what real customer support looks like.
I stand by my review. The installation was carried out professionally. But the service experience - and now your condescending response - have shown a disappointing disregard for your own stated values.

Needed a new combi boiler so contacted a few installers.
George from Surrey Gas responded quickly and visited the next day.
Immediate fixed price quote was given to which I agreed.
Within a few days existing boiler removed and new boiler fitted. Installer Mike did a great job, arrived on time and kept me informed.
I am still waiting for responses from the other 'installers' 🤣
