From reaching out to Sundowner (Laura) coming home our holiday was a great experience, we travelled Laos and Thailand and everything was perfect from transfers, to the trips arranged and not forgetting the superb hotels that we stayed in, the holiday was seamless, communication from Laura was excellent and she answered any queries we had and dealt with them swiftly and catered for all our needs. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday and could not recommend Sundowner more highly.

Every boutique hotel and lodge selected for us was excellent, with beautiful, characterful rooms and a very high standard of service. Munduk Moding Plantation was particularly outstanding, with service comparable to some of the best luxury resorts we have experienced anywhere in the world. Tanjung Sari and Blue Karma were also excellent, and the restaurants throughout the trip were of a very high standard.

A special mention must go to our guide, Junis, and our driver, who were both exceptional. Junis was knowledgeable, flexible and incredibly attentive to our family, particularly our young children. When one of us became unwell for a day, he reorganised the itinerary so that we did not miss anything we had planned. He constantly adapted the pace of the visits to suit travelling with children and was always ready to help with backpacks, the pushchair and anything else we needed.

Our driver was equally friendly, helpful and attentive throughout the trip.

Overall, the organisation, accommodation, guiding and attention to detail were outstanding. The whole family loved the holiday, and we would absolutely use them again for a future trip.

Sundowner felt like true partners in our big holiday. Lucy spent time with me chatting about our family and our likes/dislikes before coming up with an itinerary which barely needed tweaking. Everything went smoothly - tickets, payments, use of the Travel App etc. Sundowner removed the entire mental load from the holiday.
And then the holiday was fabulous. We were met at the airport and steered through, met our fabulous driver who looked after our every need and just stayed in the best places. The balance of 'doing' and 'resting' was great. I will always use Sundowner now for out of Eurpose holidays and will recommend to everyone.

We’ve just returned from an excellent holiday to Singapore and Borneo. I couldn’t recommend sundowner enough. Laura planned our trip and she really listened to our requirements and used her expertise to plan us a great itinerary.
The pre communication was great, they promptly notified us of minor changes to the flight schedule and informed us that one of the hotels we’d booked was undergoing renovations so we were able to change it to avoid inconvenience to us. They were also very reasonably priced compared to similar operators. Our trip ran smoothly and to plan.

We thoroughly recommend Sundowner as a travel company. Our trip to Madagascar in July 2026 was the second holiday that we have booked with them and just like our first trip (to Borneo), it didn't disappoint! Lucy listened carefully to our ideal scenarios for a holiday and tailored it perfectly. Everything during the holiday ran like clockwork with the drivers, guides and all staff at the hotels showing the utmost in professionalism and consideration. The hotels we stayed in (Relais de Mantadia in Andasibe) and 293 on Komba at Nosy Komba were outstanding in every aspect. Overall, it was a wonderful holiday with lots of wildlife and stunning scenery. A huge thanks to the professionalism of all Sundowner staff!

Lucy helped with our holiday planning to south Africa and Mauritius. Details from our highly Personalised portal account to transfers throughout our stay. Transfers we're of an extremely high standard and the holiday itself was at the very top of our holiday experiences. I have friends and family looking at doing holidays like the one we have done and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Our previous holiday was cancelled with tui only 3 weeks prior to us leaving and Sundowner step upto the mark in very quick time. Lucy gave us a holiday we will never forget even happy to alter segments we wanted changing like change of hotels at the last moment.

We had the most amazing trip to Borneo arranged by Lucy and Rhianna , and our hosts at all the resorts and river guides exceeded our expectations, with a huge thank you to One at My Nature reserve who went shopping on his day off for us and was a perfect host! And all the staff in between, where nothing was too much trouble , and of course all the wildlife we were lucky enough to see, thanks Jerome our guide , he was so knowledgable . Also we would.like to thank Alex at Bungaraya for his staff and amazing hospitality in their beautiful setting . We would highly recommend using Sundowner , and travelling to Borneo is a must.

An incredible first‑ever trip booked with Sundowner Holidays — and it definitely won’t be our last.
We chose this once‑in‑a‑lifetime adventure to Borneo to celebrate a big birthday and our 10‑year wedding anniversary, and Sundowner Holidays made it feel truly special from start to finish.
We had an action‑packed itinerary, and what really stood out was how seamless everything felt. Transfers, timings, meals, and all the little touches were handled quietly in the background, allowing us to simply be present and enjoy every moment.
Our guides were knowledgeable in that effortless, generous way that makes you feel safe, looked after, and constantly learning.
Seeing orangutans and proboscis monkeys in their natural habitat was unforgettable. The bat exodus from the caves at Mulu is something we’ll carry with us for a very long time — truly magical. The river cruises, full of wildlife and atmosphere, were simply awesome.
Every lodge we stayed in was welcoming, comfortable, and perfectly placed for exploring.
We ended our trip with three nights at Gaya Island Resort — the perfect way to unwind after such a fun‑filled adventure. Peaceful, beautiful, and wonderfully relaxing.

I found this company on Google and took a risk of using them for my honeymoon because of their high Trust pilot rating. I was not at all disappointed, they took the time to listen to what I was looking for and taylor made a lovely holiday for me and the wife in Malaysia. I felt like they really cared about making my dream holiday come to life and I never felt rushed or a pain as I kept calling and asking so many questions. Their prices were very competitive. They kept me well informed about all changes and I didn't have to worry about them as they looked after everything.
I cannot say enough good things about this company but I am so glad that I found them and would be using them from now on.

Fabulous two week bucket list trip to Borneo. First time using Sundowner Holidays and it won't be the last. Every aspect of the holiday ran like clockwork and all the guides were very knowledgeable and passionate about their work and would go the extra mile to ensure we had the best experience and saw as much wildlife as possible. All the accommodations were excellent and very different and accommodated my friend's dietary requirements. Our tour covered Kuching, Mulu National Park, Kota Kinabalu, Sepilok and the Kinbangtan River (where we were lucky to see orangutans in the wild as well as lots of other wildlife) and ended with a few days R and R on Gaya Island. We met a lot of couples who had travelled with other tour companies and I can honestly say I think we had the best itinerary and accommodation.

Sundowner have designed four holidays for us so far and a fifth in November. Our latest holiday was in Thailand and Cambodia. We have also travelled to Tanzania, Japan and Madagascar using thus company. The holiday consultants listen to what we want and tailor our holidays to suit. We have stayed in some magnificent places and enjoyed lots of cultural, historic and wildlife experiences. We would also like to mention that they deal with any issues with professionalism and are always available when needed. This is particularly true to our most recent holiday, which clashed with the effects of the war in Iran. They dealt with it very swiftly and we only were delayed getting home by one day. We would highly recommend this company for your tailored holiday needs and very much looking forward to our trip to Peru in November.

This was our first holiday in the Far East and long haul trip. Sundowner were excellent in helping us plan a 3 week holiday in Japan taking into account our interests and preferences. Laura was very responsive when we had questions and put together a varied itinerary to suit our needs.
We loved the App which was easy to use and helped us to navigate each day. Having documents such as train tickets on the same app was particularly helpful.
All our accommodation was excellent and we enjoyed staying in different types of hotel ranging from traditional Ryokan's to the more western style hotels.
It was great being able to experience a very different culture like Japan in the knowledge that all practical arrangements had been made.

We had just the most amazing holiday.
The best thing was that we didn’t had to do anything, planning, bookings, flights, everything was done nicely, everything was very smooth, I finally felt that I am on vacation. And even the best part was that in our time away we had a 24/7 customer service which again was so helpful. And the really amazing part that wasn’t expensive at all.

Sundowner clearly has the expertise to arrange wonderful holidays, and the initial planning for our £22k business class trip to Costa Rica was impressive. However, travelers should be aware of their lack of support when things go wrong.

​At no fault of our own, we suffered a 4-day flight delay, and that delay completely erased the planned, booked and paid for "beach recovery" segment of our trip. This wasn't just a missed excursion; it fundamentally altered the pace and nature of the holiday.

​Despite the holiday being significantly shortened and the itinerary's balance destroyed, Sundowner offered no help or compensation, claiming the holiday was still "capable of performance." 5 months later—and despite our credit card companies agreeing that a refund is due—Sundowner continues to refuse any accountability. They are great at the "sales" stage, but they failed us when we needed professional tour operator support.
