Getting prequalified through Sunbit couldn’t have been easier. The process was quick, straightforward, and gave me confidence that I would have the funds available for my car repair.
The challenge came on the merchant side. I had my vehicle serviced at my local Ford dealership, which actually had the Sunbit link available directly on their website. Because the repair costs were higher than expected, I wanted to confirm financing before committing to the work. I used the link, got prequalified, validated my debit card, and arrived at the dealership fully prepared to complete the transaction.
Unfortunately, that’s where the process broke down. The cashier had no idea how to process the Sunbit payment and mentioned she had not been trained on it. I was then told the transaction had to be approved by the service manager, and that he was the only person who could handle the paperwork. Even though another service manager was present, he said he couldn’t assist because it was “a whole thing” and involved a lot of paperwork.
This issue was clearly a breakdown on the dealership’s side rather than Sunbit’s platform, which worked exactly as advertised. That said, it might be helpful if Sunbit noted somewhere in the process that merchant approval or internal dealership procedures may still be required before finalizing the transaction, just so customers know what to expect.
Overall, the financing process itself was simple and user-friendly—the merchant just needs to be better prepared to support it.

Presented concern to representative. She did not have the authorization to resolve my problem She sent an email to the powers that be, and I asked for an email with the decision on a forgiveness of $1.52 placed on my account as I am a check writing customer and my check had to go from coast to coast. I paid off my account fully, and then I get a bill for balance of $1.52. I have not received communication from Sunbit since initiated contact last week.

The agent I spoke with had amazing customer service skills... breaking down everything to a "t". I had no idea that, that call would have been anything as productive as it became. I am blessed to have been able to work with that very agent, as she was very personable and, professional. May I also add that there have been previous Sunbit agents that I've worked with that were just as great. For these agents to be the front-runners of Sunbit, they really reflect commitment and, excellence to customer service. Thank you for all your help!
