Unforgettable experience in Strell swimming holiday in Symi was great! I had high expectancies, but got much more. Coaches Aoife and Toby are real professionals, trustable and friendly. It was amazing how they handle the group of different persons with different backgrounds. The athmosphere was so relaxed. Our group was wonderful. Planning already next trip with Strel! Highly recommended.

We had a great week of swimming in Symi, Greece. The trip was well organized with knowledgeable and friendly guides. The boat was spacious with multiple places to sit, including a covered area, and open areas on top and on the bow. I can 100% recommend this trip, and we will definitely go on another trip with Strel in the future. The swimming was fantastic, and the guides, Aiofe and Toby, found the best places for us to swim each day. Super-clear water and interesting coastlines. We often stopped at little beach front tavernas for lunch and we always had great meals at those. The hotel is very nice, and the staff was very friendly. On this trip, Strel provides kayaks and my non-swimming partner loved to kayak along with the swimmers. But the best part was getting to know the guides and the other swimmers. We all enjoyed each other's company while swimming, hanging out on the boat, eating meals, and just enjoying every minute of the trip. Excellent swimming, beautiful scenery, great food, comfortable boat, well-run logistics and wonderful people. Thanks!

Fantastic swimming holiday on Symi! The guides were both highly professional and genuinely friendly. The group included swimmers of very different ages and experience levels, but everyone was able to succeed and enjoy the swims at their own pace. The overall atmosphere was supportive and encouraging from start to finish.

Non-swimmers were also warmly welcomed, with great alternative activities like kayaking. I especially enjoyed the time between swims — relaxing on the boat, soaking up the sun and the beautiful sea views.

We missed the first night because the ferries between Rhodes and Symi were cancelled due to strong winds. If I had known this was a possibility, I would definitely have booked an extra night on Symi before the start of the camp.

This was my first swimming holiday, but probably not my last — I’ll definitely choose Strel again!

I recently did a Symi swim trip as a NON-SWIMMER. The entire experience was inclusive, caring, personal, accommodating, fun, and gorgeous. Kayaking w the swimmers was easy, and I felt very much part of the group. Guides Aoife and Toby were phenomenal. The tavernas and lunches were wonderful. The water was the clearest I've ever seen. Don't hesitate for a second!

I was 100% satisfied with Strel Swimming adventures. The time in Symi tested my abilities, stamina and endurance. I would not have had such a wonderful experience if it were not for the experienced staff. They knew how to relate to us each on a personal and professional basis. Their care and concern for us was superlative. They gave us precise directions without superfluous information. The 16 swimmers bonded beautifully and would like a reunion to occur! Special thanks to Aoife…..I hope she is on my next trip!

We had a fabulous week of sea swimming with Strel on Symi. The group of swimmers gelled from the moment we met and developed a bond that strengthened as the week progressed. Our guides, Aoife and Toby, created an atmosphere that ensured safe and enjoyable swimming. The memories of this adventure will last for a long time.

Nick and I were apprehensive having never done open water swimming before. Aoife and Toby put us at ease and were amazingly great and patient coaches.
The group we were with were lovely not only to swim with but also to Socialise with.
Sometimes tough but always fulfilling swims. Lots of laughs with the coaches and the group.
Symi is beautiful and we will definitely return.

Have just spent an amazing, unforgettable week in Symi, Greece. Excellent guides Aoife and Toby were super on every front - organisation, attention to safety, local knowledge, swimming guidance, culinary skills - as well as being great fun! The location was excellent too. Symi is a beautiful island, a very special place. Overall our experience was fabulous. Thanks again to Aoife and Toby. You were FANTASTIC!

I am still trying to process this week long adventure in Symi, whatever my preconceptions were, they have been surpassed. I thought the 400m acclimatisation dash on the first morning had done me in and that I’d bitten off more than I could chew! The monumental 25-30km we have swum was a small part of what made this challenge epic, the melting pot of international characters I have met was another, our paths may cross again, if they don’t, my life has been enriched and enlightened because of them. The Island of Symi, I was expecting to be beautiful, that was part of the draw, but I was not prepared for the stunning coastlines that have mapped out our swims, unimaginable awe inspiring beauty. Our guides Toby and Aoife did a terrific job of keeping us safe, no mean feat with 16 swimmers of varying degrees of swim experience and more wants than a 6 year old at Christmas. If I doubted my ability, Aoife did not, her no nonsense, firm but fair approach backed by years of experience and knowledge meant I pushed myself beyond anywhere I imagined I could ever go. We are not guaranteed any tomorrows, we have only today, book the adventure, take the challenge.

This was my first swim trip, and it truly was the best! The swimming in Kaş, Türkiye was outstanding with the most beautiful blue water. Nimet made so many delicious dishes for each of our lunches on the boat. Osman, the boat captain, was always aware of our safety. Aoife made many great suggestions (and reservations) for our evenings in Kaş. I especially liked Ilgın’s technique tips for each of us. But most of all, I feel it changed me as a person. Leaving my real life to swim with people who weren’t yet my friends, allowed me to see and enjoy the world from many new perspectives.

There enough words in ones vocab to express the appreciation for the unbelievable effort made by our guides , who were world class and made our trip for us. The swims were phenomenal, they were invested and were amazing to be around. nothing was too much trouble for them!!we will be back !!!

An incredible week with amazing guides who were incredible people in and out of the water. Kas was beautiful and the swims were stunning. Huge thanks to Aoife and Ilgin!

Warm sea, turtles, great individual swim technique analysis, excellent guides & boat staff, great food and most of all, fabulous swims. Loved it all and everyone on our trip. I would recommend this swimming experience.

A Turkish delight on water. Well organised, beautiful locations and charming hosts Aoife and Ilgin. Captain Osman’s vessel was perfect for the task and his wife Mehmet prepared healthy and delicious lunches. We were kept safe and benefited from some patient stroke correction. Highly recommended. Our week long holiday in Turkey was exceptional. Our guides Ilgan and Aoife together with our boat Captain Ozman went above and beyond in every way. We felt safe, well feed and thoroughly enjoyed our journey around the lycan coast. The swim analysis was extremely useful and would highly recommend the trip.

What a fantastic experience our trip to Slovenia with Strel Swimming Adventures!
We went in mid-July (me and my best friend), and were welcomed by Borut, Petra and Maks, our swim guides, for this adventure! They were such warm, passionate people who really looked out for us all, and made the holiday even more special.
We had an amazing time swimming in different lakes/rivers in Slovenia and Italy, and I personally achieved more than I ever thought my body could manage (I have a number of significant health problems and physical challenges, and the team were so patient with me), and I always felt safe and cared for.
The other people on the trip with us came from all over the world, and were all absolutely lovely! We had some great laughs, shared fabulous memories, and it reminded me again that the wild swimming community is so friendly, warm and fun!!
I can't wait to come back and do it again!

Such a great swimming holiday in Slovenia! Borut, Petra and Max were amazing (local) guides. The trip was perfectly organized, from the briefing session to the last swim, they chose the best locations for an openwater swim (amazing water clarity, stunning landscapes)...
