I bought this Appsumo LTD plan (Tier 2) with a lot of confidence, as I am rarely disappointed by the deals I find on the Appsumo platform. Now it's so disapointing in terms of generation quality compared to modern AI video generation platforms that it is absolutly unsuseful and total scam. It's a shame and an insane disgrace.

However, for this Steve and AI application, I have no choice but to express my disappointment, my dissatisfaction. I almost want to say my anger, so much do I feel like I have been scammed.

With the evolution of AI models in video generation currently underway, notably Google VO3, this software seems completely useless.

Worse, AppSumo buyers absolutely do not have access to Steve AI's updates. And it seems that the platform remains stuck on old models and outdated generation algorithms, completely obsolete and useless.

The promise made in the AppSumo LTD offer, claiming that we had access to all future updates, is a lie.

I contacted Steve AI during a so called demo call showing new features and was told that I had to create a new account and abandon my AppSumo LTD account if I wanted access to the latest product features. A disgrace and a total scam!

As I said, they're not consistent. They told me they'd refund me, but so far, nothing, just another lie. Trustpilot should provide a way to respond to comments. They replied to me in the review I recently wrote on Trustpilot that they'd refund me immediately—I repeat, immediately—but after I provided my credentials, they disappeared, so that response is false! As are the rest of the (false) comments they've made I think so now. If anyone reads that they're offering refunds, it's incorrect because it's only in the comments; in reality, they don't do it. Be careful! I'd suggest Trustpilot provide a way to respond to false comments for greater transparency.

I paid for Steve AI expecting real script-to-video, and it’s a complete scam. They let you paste a 10-minute script in a 32,000-character box, then give you a 40-second slideshow with 8 scenes. The rest of the script is ignored to make you upgrade more. The zoom effects are glitchy, buggy, not smooth. The voice-overs are ugly, robotic, and unusable. Nothing sounds human. They advertise long-form video creation but deliver only short social-media clips disguised as “full videos.” This is false advertising, and they are tricking people into upgrading. Save your money. Use real tools instead.

I purchased the Steve AI Pro Plan for $59 and it has been an absolute nightmare from the start.

The first video I tried to create from my own script didn’t work at all. Instead of generating an animated video like their website promises, Steve AI created one single picture with background music and nothing else.

I reached out to support and received this message:

“Hi Damon,
I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with Steve AI.
I’m sorry to hear it hasn’t met your expectations so far.
Your feedback helps us improve… You can always customise the video with the advanced edit option…
Please check it out and let us know.
Regards,
Kishore, SteveAI”

This response ignored the issue completely. I wasn’t having trouble with “customizing” a video — I couldn’t even get one to generate.

I tried again… and again… and again.

Every time I attempted to create a new video, Steve AI would get halfway through processing and then stop with the same error:

“Asset fetching failed.”

I contacted support again and was told this:

“Hi Damon,
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please share the Project ID so I can check…
Regards,
Bala, SteveAI”

I sent them the Project ID. I tried a total of 12 times to create a video. Every single attempt failed with the same error.

Then I received this message from another rep:

“Hi Damon,
Please cancel the subscription to initiate the refund.
Regards,
Ashik, SteveAI”

At this point, I had wasted hours trying to get one functional video out of a service that advertises effortless AI video creation.

Don’t waste your money.
The platform simply doesn’t work, the features don’t match the claims on the website, and the customer service responses feel copy-and-paste and disorganized. Three different reps, three different answers, zero working videos.

Steve AI is a scam of a website and absolutely not worth the $59 I spent. I cancelled and will be pursuing a refund.

Save your money and look elsewhere.

I have received your multiple emails asking me to remove or edit my Trustpilot review.

To be clear, my review accurately reflects my experience with Steve AI. I paid $59 for the Pro Plan, attempted over a dozen times to generate a video, and every attempt failed with the same “Asset fetching failed” error. I contacted support repeatedly and received inconsistent, copy-and-paste style responses from multiple representatives, none of which actually resolved the issue. The platform did not perform as advertised, and I wasted a significant amount of time trying to make it work.

While I appreciate that a refund was eventually processed, that does not change the experience I had with your product or support team. A refund does not erase the frustration, lost time, or the fact that the service failed to deliver what was promised.

Your continued requests feel less about understanding or fixing the problem and more about improving your Trustpilot score. Reviews are meant to reflect real customer experiences so that others can make informed decisions. For that reason, I will not be removing or editing my review unless there is a genuine reason to do so based on a materially different experience.

If Steve AI wants better reviews, the solution is to fix the platform so it works as advertised and ensure customer support actually addresses issues instead of deflecting them.

The customer service agent, Kushore, was extremely helpful and patient. He answered all of my questions in a way that a non-tech person could understand.

This is awesome. Finally a tool that gets professional videos completed quickly and not look choppy or elementary. Kudos on the team for quick customer service as well!

J'ai d'abord utilisé Steve AI avec le forfait IA générative (129 $).

La plateforme a indéniablement du potentiel : elle permet de créer rapidement des vidéos, des visuels et des voix. Cependant, mon expérience initiale a été frustrante et décevante pour un service à ce prix.

⚠️ Problèmes initiaux

Durant mon premier mois, j'ai rencontré plusieurs problèmes majeurs :

Limites vocales cachées, non mentionnées (ni dans les conditions générales, ni sur le tableau de bord, ni dans les détails du forfait).

Seule une fenêtre contextuelle « Contacter le service commercial » s'affiche, ce qui ressemble à une tentative de vente forcée.

Lorsque je les ai contactés, ils m'ont répondu :

« La limite de voix off est simplement une mesure de sécurité que nous avons mise en place. Nous activerons des limites plus élevées au niveau du compte, ne vous inquiétez pas. »

Projet perdu : après avoir autorisé l'équipe d'assistance à accéder à mon tableau de bord, ma vidéo a été entièrement régénérée et tout mon travail (plus de 16 heures) a été perdu.

Perte de crédits de génération : J'ai perdu plus de la moitié de mes crédits de génération à cause d'un bug de boucle de script. Malgré plusieurs promesses de remboursement, je n'ai jamais été remboursé.

Frappes d'orthographe fréquentes dans les images générées par l'IA, m'obligeant à régénérer les visuels à plusieurs reprises.

Formulation confuse concernant l'expiration de l'abonnement (« jusqu'au 8 octobre à minuit » signifiait en réalité le début du 8, et non la fin).

Ces problèmes ont rendu l'expérience très frustrante, surtout compte tenu du prix élevé.

🌟 Suivi positif

Après avoir publié mon premier avis, l'équipe de Steve AI m'a contacté directement.

Ils ont été très polis, proactifs et ont vraiment cherché à résoudre le problème.

Ils m'ont offert un abonnement Pro gratuit pendant un mois, puis l'ont prolongé de quelques semaines à titre de geste commercial pour un essai plus approfondi – ce que j'ai beaucoup apprécié.

Durant cette période, j'ai pu tester la plateforme plus en profondeur. Le système présente encore des problèmes techniques — par exemple, la génération de certaines images à partir de texte est très longue ou ne se fait qu'après le redémarrage de l'application — mais l'équipe d'assistance travaille activement à la résolution de ces problèmes et me tient informé.

Récemment, ils m'ont même proposé un abonnement annuel à prix réduit (-50 % pour le Black Friday), ce qui témoigne de leur engagement à améliorer le service et à préserver la confiance de leurs clients.

💬 Résumé

I was fortunate to get a lifetime subscription to Steve AI when AppSumo offered it, and I'm loving the cool little videos I'm able to create each month. The amount of characters and actions they offer is incredible and being able to customize each slide the way I want is super nice. The software is easy to use, and although it takes a little bit of time to fine tune things, the videos come out great! I would definitely recommend Steve AI for anyone wanting to get in on creating their own informational videos!

It's a scam!!! They took 2 payments for the first entry and for the Pro level, and generated 2 videos out of that - of low quality, which I generated still on free version. I could not used them, the videos were with mistakes, if you wanted to edit them you should generated video once again and pay for that. They did not generated more videos after the PRO payment, saying that all seconds was already used!!! Payed 60 USD and no video.

Steveai makes it very easy to create an animated video!

The platform is intuitive and easy to pick up as you go. What truly sets it apart is the responsive and knowledgeable support team--their prompt assistance with troubleshooting and problem-solving makes a big difference.

SCAM! be careful. Software is broken and the staff argues with you instead of fixing anything.

Sales told me one thing, but then when I made my subscription the tool I needed is not yet active, and the workaround they gave me requires a higher plan (than what I was told).
