This is a SCUM company. I ordered monthly subscription for 149$ and the immediately charge me for full year 1788.00$. After I contact manager they refuse to return 11 month payment. And she said that annual charge was mentioned on web site with the small font....

Update: Statista refunded me 11 months worth of my money. Better than nothing.
I accidentally created a business account and got charged $1,788.00. I thought I was signing up for a middle tier account billed monthly. Nope. I realized my mistake moments after creating the account. I am not a business. I thought I was simply upgrading to access more data that was behind a paywall.
So not only did I open an account I'm technically ineligible for based on their guidelines and account requirements, but they will not respond to me across any channel. Phone lines, Accounts Receivable Department, eForm, Account Management @ statista…I highly doubt they'll do anything to refund me my money. $1,788.00 is an astronomical amount of money to me and pennies to them.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. If they ever do the right thing, I will make an update to this post. Currently I'm now trying to reorganize my budget because of Statista's deceptive pricing model.

Hiding how to cancel a subscription
Shady practice on how to cancel a subscription. FAQ claims there is a way to cancel online, but there isn't. I had to search through reviews to find out that the only way folks are able to cancel is by emailing them... I'm guessing which emails to use, as even that is not provided on the site. Purposefully making it difficult to understand how one may cancel their subscription -- shady practice in my opinion.

Fraudulent company
Fraudulent company. They ask you to open an account to read full article. You register and provide them with your personal details for them to sell to hundreds of company and profit from your personal information after you register they say after all you need to upgrade your account and pay a ridiculous $150 just to know some basic statistics about the world just out of curiosity. How stupid is that?? And now these crocks are profiting from me without providing me what I was looking for that they said I just needed to register for that. Laws need to pass for these corrupt companies to stop committing online fraud and lie to people.

If I coul put a negative five I would. It's a complete scam - after subscribing for a year I tried to cancel multiple times, but still get invoices from an account manager named Jascha Schmidt, whose job it seems is to keep pushing this scam as far as they can. I will be reporting them to a BBB for fraudulent practices. Shameless scam! Do not!!!!!!! Ever!!!! Get a paid account from these scams artists. BEWARE!!!!

Update: Statista STILL insists that account is renewed - even AFTER sending me a confirmation email that the account is CANCELLED!

A complete scam company, I get into this scam last year and was told after charging 500 euros at once that I could not cancel. I have tried to cancel my account MILLIONS OF TIMES this year, but all the links and buttons to cancel my subscription are fake and cannot be opened or canceled. Tried email and phone calls, no reply. This is a obvious scam, an account that cannot be unsubscribed, a vampire. The most disgusting scam and trash company ever
