Staircase refurb
We recently had our staircase refurbished by Stairs Direct and couldn’t be happier with the result. The quality of the work is excellent and it’s completely transformed the look of our home.
Steve, the fitter, was fantastic—very personable, professional, and easy to deal with throughout the whole process. The price was very good and great value for the standard of work delivered.

With regard to the fillet strips, we do supply infill strips with all of our grooved handrails and baserails as standard. In addition, we offer a flat latt within our Trims and Accessories section, which can be cut down and used as a fillet strip where required.

We are extremely busy at the moment, particularly with orders placed on our free delivery service. Your order is currently on day 6 and is within our stated 5–7 working day dispatch timeframe. It is due to be dispatched very shortly and will be sent on an overnight service once it leaves us.
With regard to your email, this was received on Saturday. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, so we were unable to respond until today. We apologise for any worry this may have caused.

A absolute pleasure to deal with.
A first class company that were an absolute pleasure to deal with. From the online ordering, through to the final delivery the whole experience was exceptional.

Beautiful Oak Staircase
I am delighted with our oak, open string staircase - it's every bit as beautiful as I'd hoped. Poor advice
Although I am happy with my metal spindles and the delivery, I was advised by sales person to order a certain quantity based on my measurements and found myself after the installation with 10spares ! And although still wrapped and unused had gone just over the 30 days return, the value of which was 25% of my bill, so quite a substantial amount. There is not a lot I can do with them so a lot of wasted money for me. Feel like I was badly advised, so on this occasion not a happy customer

When it comes to quantities, we provide guidance and estimates based on the measurements supplied by our customers. However, final order amounts are always at the customer’s discretion, and this is outlined during our communications.
Where surplus spindles remain after installation, it can indicate that spacing may not have been set in line with standard building regulation guidelines, as our calculations are designed with these in mind.
We always aim to support our customers with advice to the best of our knowledge, but ultimately the responsibility for the final order quantity rests with the purchaser. Regarding returns, we do offer a 30-day return period for unused items, which many of our customers find helpful if plans change or excess materials remain.
We truly value your feedback, if there’s anything further we can assist you with, we’d be more than happy to help.

Placed an order and the delivery…
Placed an order and the delivery company contracted by them just dumped this outside and didn't even notify me that the order was there.
Paid £40 for express delivery and didn't get the items delivered to my address.
Customer service is appaling and will be returning the items and ordering from a decent company.

Your order was dispatched within 24 hours of being placed and, as advised at dispatch, was scheduled for delivery by DX on the following working day. The carrier emailed you in advance with the delivery date, and a delivery notification was sent once the parcel arrived at your building.
As is standard practice with most couriers, DX provides a kerbside delivery service and is unable to carry items upstairs within apartment blocks. In this case, the parcel was delivered to the main reception area of your building, not left outside as suggested in your feedback. Our customer service team contacted DX on your behalf to gather further information and explore options, however they were unable to return to site as the driver had already left the area. We were later pleased to hear that you were assisted in relocating the items safely to your flat.
We always aim to maintain a respectful and helpful dialogue with our customers and did our best to assist throughout. Had we been contacted in advance about requiring delivery directly to your flat door, we would have been happy to discuss options and potential alternative delivery arrangements, such as delivery to another address.
We can also confirm that the order was delivered within the express delivery timeframe paid for. That said, we are of course happy to accept a return within 30 days should you still wish to do so, in line with our returns policy.
We’re sorry this experience didn’t meet your expectations and thank you for sharing your feedback.
