For a company handling financial transactions in the gaming industry, Sportmarket’s approach to customer money and compliance leaves much to be desired. I joined on 11 June, deposited €200, and received a €100 bonus from the platform. By 14 June, after placing enough bets to achieve a turnover of €16,723, I tried to withdraw just €30 to test their process. At this point, I was informed I hadn’t achieved the required 5x turnover of my deposit. Representatives then claimed that only back bets counted toward turnover, not lay bets—contradicting the information on their website and what was confirmed by agents at sign-up. Only after further communication did they acknowledge their mistake. It is concerning when a financial platform invents policies on the fly.

Seeking clarification on commission fees, I requested documentation or a link outlining their commission structure. Their reply was: “We do not have such a page. The commissions are counted in the betslip. What you see is what's available.” This is a clear breach of the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission’s requirements. Operators are obliged to clearly state all fees and commissions, explain how they are calculated, and disclose any variable factors (License Condition 5.6), as well as to publish commission policies and examples before bets are placed (License Condition 5.2), and to provide clear explanations of how commissions affect payouts and deductions (License Condition 5.11). Sportmarket’s refusal to provide this information does not meet regulatory standards.

After finally making my first withdrawal, I requested a transaction ID for the outgoing payment. This is standard practice for regulated financial businesses and payment processors, moreover, both the GCS and FSA require licensees to maintain transparent, traceable payment processing for AML compliance and consumer protection. The response: “Kindly note that this is not our practice, we only notify our clients that payments has been processed and so far we haven't had any complaints on this.” My subsequent email referencing the relevant regulation was ignored.

Their main page on payments and fees claims that both bank and crypto withdrawals are free. Only if you contact support will you be directed to their blog (!) where they mention that their service provider charges 0.75% on crypto withdrawals. Considering that, in order to enable crypto, you have to disable your fiat account, this is the kind of information users might appreciate upfront.

On top of these issues, their software frequently lags when settling bets. On one occasion, my account showed a €500 debit due to “open stakes” for a race that had already finished the previous day—in my favour. Nevertheless, the bet was settled as a €328 loss.

Sportmarket’s disregard for transparency, customer communication, and compliance with regulatory requirements is unacceptable for any financial operator. My experience demonstrates a lack of professionalism and reliability at every stage of the process.

11 hours after my review was posted Sportmarket closed my account without giving me the opportunity to download any of the transaction records. Furthermore, there were several open bets at the time and I have no way to verify if they were honoured or cancelled by Sportmarket. This was their email.

they do offer betfair and pinnacle, like any other broker, nothing else, you can see matches in m88, in sbobet but you wont see them on sportmarket, you wont see matches from sing as well because this bookmaker is voiding bets so you have to make request for it.
As you know that bookmaker is voiding bets you dont want bet on it which means on this platform with 18 bookamkers in 1 place you are left only with pinnacle and betfair, exactly same as in other brokers.

The agent despite providing the feedback requested has acted aggressively and as he was one of the shareholders of sportmarket, entering the ethical component of his work that did not fit the circumstance. I asked legitimate questions regarding issues I incurred at other broker to make sure to not incur into the same issues at sportmarket.....and he was aggressively reprimending me!

The KYC was a little problematic to me. All the documents were accepted, except the address proof verification. I've sent a credit card statement as proof, but it doesn't get accepted because they thought it was a receipt. After that, I've talked with them, and they've told me to send a credit card statement that shows my purchase history, but I'm from Brasil, and here this is called "Extrato" (Extract in portuguese), and doesn't show any address. After explaining that, they've sent my request to another department, and on the day after, I was accepted.
