Cake not delivered
Update:
After the below I managed to speak to Sponge and they offered to send another cake. My friend has received the cake the second time. Unfortunately for some reason the 1st delivery driver did not deliver in hands even by having a person at the other side of the door.
The second delivery was made through another carrier.
****
Order was smooth and everything, unfortunately my friend never received the cake. We don’t know if driver took it or if someone else stole it. There is a photo of a person’s arm opening the door, i don’t know why the driver did not wait to deliver by hand.

Lovely gluten free carrot cake. It’s not as moist as the one I get from the coffee Co, but it’s close enough for a birthday surprise

Fit for an NHS superhero
We ordered a Super Sharing cake for the fabulous team on Torrington ICU ward at Derriford Hospital. We thought it would be a refreshing change to boxes of chocolate or biscuits and we weren't disappointed! The cake looked amazing and the variety meant there was something that would appeal to everyone.
Seamless and efficient from ordering to delivery, we were very impressed and won't hesitate to order again.

Delicious sharing cake. Great idea!
I ordered the sharing cake (all different flavours). It was brilliantly packaged (we have a parcel box and it was dropped in it by the courier and remained intact.
The flavours were lovely. The only thing was the pictures on the menu card were a little difficult to differentiate in real life to see what flavour was what.

Really good cake and service
The sponge cake arrived on time and was very cleverly packaged so it did not budge during posting/delivery and was completely as in the picture. Despite the heat, the cake was not compromised. I ordered the 14 different flavours cake and my son said it tasted delicious.

We're absolutely delighted to hear that your first experience with Sponge was such a success!
Knowing that you and your mum, as coeliacs, thought it was the best gluten free cake you've ever had is an incredible compliment. Our team works so hard to create gluten free cakes that are every bit as delicious as our traditional ones, so hearing feedback like yours truly means the world to us.
We're also so pleased that we could help with your last-minute order and that you found the delivery updates helpful throughout.
Thank you for choosing Sponge to be part of your mum's 50th birthday celebration. We can't wait to bake for you again soon!

Tastes bad
Ordered for a special occasion and it tasted diabolical. The cream cheese frosting was like no cream cheese frosting I have ever had - tasted like it was a Dairylea spread with butter and sugar. The cake itself was moist but tasted off. The cake was delivered on its side with some of the topping off.
