I have thoroughly enjoyed the Sophie Paterson Academy course. It’s the perfect balance of expert knowledge while remaining digestible in length & information. As a design professional myself, there have still been so many pearls of wisdom. The course is methodical & guides you through every stage with confidence & creativity. You can see just how much love has been poured into this & it’s worth every penny. I would highly recommend to both designers wishing to hone their craft & people with a passion for design.

Sophie's program truly delivers what I was hoping it would. I am an architect and interior designer for almost 20 years and have always admired Sophie's work. I wanted a program that would give concise instructions on how to create a workflow in designing a certain room and this program certainly provides that. The program is well organized and gives key aspects of the space to keep in mind such as critical dimensions. I am in America and I found all the the information transferable. Sophie's soothing presence and voice help make everything easy to take in as well. There is a ton of material, all valuable and to the point. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is interested in interior design no matter your experience level.

Whether you're hoping to launch a career, redecorate your own home more confidently, or just explore a passion for interiors, the Sophie Paterson Academy Course offers a beautifully curated, in-depth, and inspiring introduction to interior design.

For beginners looking to learn from a respected name in the industry, this course absolutely delivers.
The course is structured with clarity, purpose, and progression. Each module builds thoughtfully on the last, introducing you to the key principles of interior design, from spatial planning and lighting to sourcing and styling, all while encouraging the development of your own creative voice and style. Sophie Paterson’s real-world insights, drawn from her years in luxury residential design, add genuine depth to the content.

Rather than overwhelming you with technical jargon or abstract theory, the course blends professional guidance with practical application, making it ideal for beginners who want to understand both the art and business of interior design.

The workbooks, in particular, are standout tools, thoughtfully designed to translate theory into action and help you build real-world confidence, step by step. They beginner friendly but not simplistic, detailed and thoughtfully laid out, with real life working examples.

You feel like you're learning from someone who’s actually done the work, not just teaching theory. The behind-the-scenes peeks into real projects, supplier relationships, and design decisions are especially valuable for anyone curious about the industry beyond just making things "look nice."

I would recommend this course, highly.

I am absolutely loving the course so far. It is wonderfully presented and the level of detail is second to none. Looking forward to completing it, and to also revisiting it at regular intervals! I am not a designer by profession - just a massive interior design enthusiast, and due to the nature of my job I move around every couple of years, so I've had the opportunity to decorate 14 homes to date! I am more than positive that this course will inspire me to new heights. Truly an excellent purchase!

A great source of inspiration

I signed up for the Sophie Paterson Academy as part of our home renovation, and it’s been genuinely brilliant. The workbooks alone are hugely helpful – I find myself going back to them all the time, and they’ve given me the confidence to make design decisions I would have otherwise struggled with. They’ve also cut down the number of day-to-day decisions I need to make, which has saved so much time and stress. Having the course broken down by room makes it easy to dip in and know that everything for that space has been covered. For me, it’s been a worthwhile investment and something I’ll carry on using throughout this project – and beyond.

This course is well worth the purchase! Sophie shared a plethora of knowledge that can be useful for anyone interested in interior design regardless of their starting knowledge or location. I am U.S. based and everything mentioned is transferable.

The only critique I have is that some pieces of advice were put in odd sections/modules that would’ve been suited elsewhere or even been great as their own separate modules.

Overall, it was money well spent and I love that I can refer back to it again and again.

I finally purchased the course yesterday and I can’t believe the depth of knowledge Sophie and her team have shared with us! I’m so impressed with how detailed and insightful it is. It’s packed with valuable information that goes far beyond my expectations.
