I’ll admit, I was a little doubtful when first approached by a rep from Snap Collective. But after a few back-and-forth emails, I felt it was worth giving them a go — and I’m so glad I did.

It was a fair amount of work on my end, editing and compiling images, handling pagination, etc. But that’s to be expected no matter where you publish. What stood out was how responsive and efficient they were: my questions were answered quickly and clearly, and the workflow — from uploading to finalizing — was seamless.

The real surprise came with pre-orders. The price of each book is quite high and I was concerned that people would shy away because of that but I reached the initial target of 25 much faster than I expected, and in hindsight, I wish I had opted for the higher threshold of 50, which I could have easily met. My only critique would be that it would be helpful if there were a way to “option up” midstream, instead of being locked into the lower pre-sale target once chosen.

That aside, the final book exceeded my expectations. The printing was exceptional, the production quality superb, and it truly felt luxurious to hold in hand.

I would highly recommend Snap Collective to photographers considering this method of publishing. You have nothing to lose — and a lot to gain.

High quality binding, images in book look great

My experience has been very good, I liked everything. My contact with my publisher Valentina was perfect — she was always supportive and attentive. If I had to mention one small downside, it’s that I would have liked to see a print proof before receiving the final book, just to adjust the color and darkness a little bit. Apart from that, everything was excellent, and I would definitely do it again without hesitation.

Snap Collective published my book A Magnificent Display of Insanity, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. The process was smooth, organized, and stress-free, with the team supporting me every step of the way. They made sure I was completely satisfied with the book before moving forward with printing, which meant a lot to me. This project has been the most meaningful work I’ve done so far, giving me the chance to share my story of facing challenges, overcoming addiction, and transforming pain into something beautiful. I’m so grateful for Snap Collective—the company is fantastic, and every person I worked with was truly outstanding. Now, I’m sharing my story through book talks and community events, showing how I’ve overcome addiction and using the tools in my book to continue living a happy and fulfilling life. I will forever be grateful for the Snap Collective team, especially Valentina Furtuna, my editorial assistant; Madara Ulme, who first reached out to me about writing a book; Tea Jagodić, who designed the beautiful cover; and the entire team who helped bring this project to life!

What surprised me most about this publishing project was the printing quality of the book. Whether it was the tactile texture of the book cover or the printing precision and quality of the inner pages, my readers were impressed. The professionalism, long-term and patient cooperation of the publishing staff promoted the smooth publication of my book "Tangshan"!

Impossible pour moi d'en ajouter une cinquième en raison du malentendu sur le changement de prix de mon livre au moment de la précommande, sans en avoir été informée, ce qui a été source de stress et de perte de confiance. J'ose un conseil : Ne surtout pas oublier que la création demande du temps.

The overall quality of the book is excellent.
The graphic designer was extremely professional, patient and supportive,andthe result reflects that.
But one point that leaves me somewhat perplex is the pricing. The book is sold at 80 €, wich I understand given the production quality, but it does limit my own profit margin.
I haven't yet found the right strategy to commercialize or distribute it effectively.

Originally putting photos on the left side and leaving right side blank resulted in reprinting and double fee for me. I am not sure a designer was involved at all. If she was a designer, she should have caught this.
Furthermore, after the initial pre-sale period, the selling+ shipping price of the book was so high, there were almost no buyers. I ended up giving the book to friends. $185 (USA) is out of range for most people to consider buying the book.

It's a very good initiative for creative people. The experience is wonderful. I'm very glad about the results. All the team was impeccable. Thank you!

Following the winning book project, I got an opportunity to publish my photographs. The book has a title “Looking for a Muse”. The work started in May 2024 and was accomplished in January 2025. In the course of the process publication the Snap Collective team was more than helpful, attentive and extremely professional. I am especially grateful to Mimo Khair, a Design consultant, who was managing the whole project; also, to Natalia Manole, an Editorial Assistant, and particularly to a book Designer, Yana Geruk who was very patient to the minor changes I had requested. I consider my experience with the Snap Collective as very positive all over, and I do recommend my colleagues photographers and artists to take an opportunity to collaborate with this great Snap Collective team.
