I am tired of HP‘s extortion pricing of about $168.89 for replacement cartridges for my 8610. I asked ChatGPT to recommend a cheaper alternative. Here is what it said:

I ordered these on Tuesday. They arrived on Friday. Today is Saturday. I opened the package and, with great trepidation and fear of problems, installed the cartridges following the simple instructions provided by Smart Ink.

They simply worked. They just worked. They worked without any hassle. I am blown away! For a total cost of about $40 delivered, these guys saved me $130 and I can now thumb my nose at HP in the rearview mirror.

I had an issue with some ink following an update on my printer . Despite this occurring on a Sunday they answered my query immediately. Posted out replacement ink the next day and today I even had a support following up to check all was ok .

Contacted Smart Ink via their very useful webchat service to complain that a black ink cartridge would not be recognised by my HP printer. Tried the usual power down, unplug the cables, wait and reboot but still no joy. This was the second cartridge from Smart Ink that had not been satisfactory but they (Alex of Smart Ink) refused to replace as per their two year guarantee as they had already sent me a new cartridge from the previous complaint.

Not shopping there any more. Guarantee is worthless.

I had a technical issue, mostly of my own creation, and reached out to Smart Ink for help. I got a technician named Alex. This guy is a jewel. He was well beyond patient and got me running after I thought that I was having a problem with my printer drivers. After determining that my real problem was just cleaning out the printer spooler, he determined that the driver problem that I thought was causing me problems was an attempted scam. I have been ordering ink for over then years from Smart Ink and I have NEVER once had a bad customer service experience. Again, Alex, thank you for your help.

Faster than Amazon!! Wow, I am highly impressed with their level of customer service. This is my 2nd order (first time through amazon). I'm glad that I decided to order directly from them. I am now ordering ALL of my inks (3 different printers) directly from them.

After a recent incredibly positive customer service experience last week I promised myself I would write a good review to bring this company to the attention of anyone who buys ink for their printer. Smart Ink cartridges have worked great for me over the last 8-10 years, when I first found out about the brand. If you do have a question or concern, their customer service people are amazing. I wrote to them last week at 6:40pm PST and had a reply around 7:00 that same evening! Plus they bend over backward to make sure your situation is resolved. I feel totally confident and save considerable money with Smart Ink. It is just so reassuring when you find good companies to deal with, so I wanted to share this.

Top quality & service. Had a problem once with a cartridge for an HP printer - service took immediate action to replace the cartridge and had me shut off automatic printer updates . Have not had any problems since …. and now have a Canon printer.

I was having a problem with one of the cartridges provided by SmartInk for my HP printer. The SmartInk rep immediately identified that the problem could be fixed with a replacement cartridge and I received it in 2 days.

Ink came quickly and packaged well. The yellow cartridge was unable to be used, I reached out to Smart Ink and Alex took care of me and sent me new ink cartridges within a couple days and we were all set. THANK YOU for being so quick to help!

There are so many reasons to use Smart Ink:

They have a GREAT product. Their ink is every bit as good as HP ink at HALF THE PRICE. There is literally, LITERALLY no down-side.

You are STICKING it to Putin. Smart Ink is Ukrainian. You are getting a GREAT PRODUCT at a GREAT PRICE, and you fight global authoritarianism. What could be better?

Please do note: many manufacturers will have their devices programmed to not accept ink from a different source. If you have problems with that, CONTACT SMART INK! There is a patch. It takes ten minutes to download and run, and then you never have to do it again. I ran it for both of my HP printers.

Just wanted to give mega-kudos to Smart Ink and Andrew for resolving my printer ink cartridge delimma! Andrew single handedly blotted-out the stain of my ink cartridge discontent!

Great cartridges that have worked well for years and shipping time is great. Have had no issues to date.

Cartridges were not working, got an answer within 20 seconds on WhatsApp, new cartridges were ordered within 2 minutes and delivered the day after. Impressive customer service.

Couldn't really ask for more. They are compatible cartridges which I wouldn't usually buy but these print very well and are accepted by the printer. Value - what's to say! A fraction of the cost of the branded cartridges and just as good. Have already re-purchased and would definitely recommend.
Had a slight problem with the printer initially not accepting the cartridge but was sent a file to install that rectified the problem. The whole thing took 10 minutes or so.
