What a absolutely pathetic excuse of a firm of solicitors!! My honest opinion is that the solicitors are not qualified they are ignorant and their complaints system is NONEXISTENT!!! From the so called management to the trainee solicitors. MY ADVICE WOULD BE TO STAY WELL CLEAR OF THESE SO CALLED SOLICITORS!!!

Poor communication and disappointing service

I contacted SLS Solicitors to help with a serious issue involving mice infestation, damp, and mould in my housing association property. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.

Customer service throughout was poor. I’m not sure if this is because I was a no-win, no-fee client, but I would have expected that to be even more of a reason to act quickly and efficiently. Communication was especially bad. Over the course of the case, I had to deal with three different people, none of whom seemed to be available or responsive. Emails would go unanswered for over a week sometimes with no acknowledgment at all which is completely unprofessional.

After more than a year, the minimal repairs my landlord finally carried out were mainly due to my persistence not the efforts of the solicitors. When it came to compensation, they made little effort to secure anything satisfactory.

If you value proper communication, decent compensation, and basic customer service, I would strongly recommend shopping around. One person from the enforcement team Dylon was particularly rude and dismissive, which only added to the frustration.

Avoid if you can.

I am a landlord and had a very difficult situation with one of my tenants who just stopped paying their rent. SLS were both professional and very supportive. They took the weight of this situation off my shoulders. I've just got back from the local County Court and can report that the hearing went smoothly and really well. The Judge granted the Section 8, costs and rent arrears. I will definitely be using the services of SLS in the future.

There is different departments your case is sent to which can be a little frustrating but from each person to the nect they were very helpful, explained very clearly the next stages helped me with any questions I had and were polite and well mannered.
