Very straightforward process .
Refund arrived in the bank quickly after returning to the UK

I have used skiptax twice now and had no issues either time. Its easy to upload a receipt and its easy to exclude items from the receipt. The machine in the airport was easy to use and the refund was in my account by the following morning!

Perfect! Easy to use. Great service and money straight into my bank account in less than 24 hours. So easy to use app and scan receipts. I scan them virtually as soon as I have made a purchase in Disney. Then once at the airport once you have finished and generated your barcode (all in app and so easy to do) you just scan at the France airport machine and you get a green / good notification and then money was in account.

App was easy to use and the refund was within 24 hours of departure. Great if your using it for Disneyland purchases as it combines everything into one receipt for you.

Also you don't require the Customs to stamp for your paper document despite it saying in the app and emails received that you need it to be prior to scanning. Also for awareness that the queue at CDG was horrendous with only 3 skiptax terminals avaliable and other users having numerous amount of receipts to scan, it became very frustrating to watch.

Fantastic service. Used it for buying alcohol at the Calais warehouse at the end of our trip to France. Downloaded the app, followed the guide and received the tax refund the next day. Spent over £500 and got £62.00 back. What’s not to like. Definitely use the service if your going to France on a booze cruise etc.

Fairly straightforward as usual, getting EU VAT back from French supermarket purchases. SkipTax paid up the day after our return.
Normally we just scan receipts, verify docs & scan resulting refund barcode at Pueblo terminal at Calais. But this time the terminal required the friendly French customs guy to verify docs himself. The app then didn’t ‘catch up’ & still said we had actions outstanding - but we’d scanned the barcode & Pueblo said we’d done all we needed to do. So I took screenshots of that in case of problems with SkipTax. But all went thru fine.
Advice: scan your receipts before you get there - the customs guy admitted the wifi is poor at Calais Pueblo! Took about 10 mins for barcode to come through. Given it’s a windy, solitary & exposed spot on the quayside, with no loos - you don’t want to be longer than necessary!

SkipTax is probably the cheapest operator for normal folk to claim back VAT on EU purchases, but even so the commission charged is about 20% of the VAT claimed. I don’t understand why we ordinary UK citizens are obliged to use a 3rd party at all - to claim back our own money!

Such a simple app, not sure why it’s not the same for all countries, as it makes the tax refund into a simple step by step process and guides you through each.

And the refund payment was so quick too.

Well done to the SkipTax team and hope they can expand to other countries.

I can’t believe how quick and easy the whole thing was. After a 3 night stay at Disneyland Paris we have over €57 euros coming back to us. 2 mins a day, 5 mins and the Eurostar and done. Totally worth it.

I used this service on Saturday and here we are on Monday with the money in my bank!! Excellent service and comms.

Very easy app to claim back tax on purchases. I took photos of all receipts and they were accepted or denied in seconds.( i was disappointed not to get tax back on disney cocktails lol). Machine at lille eurostar and two officers who sorted my claim. Money in my bank morning after my return to blighty.

Very impressed indeed. Really simple to download the app, upload the receipt and get the refund, which came withing 24 hours.

Was easy to use very quick to do so doesnt take uo most your holiday refunded same day i scanned barcode

Experience at Calais travelling with P&O Ferries not as 'easy' as Euro Tunnel return on our previous trip to France; where there were dedicated 'Skiptax' machines in the Eurotunnel Terminal. We were advised (in the Ferry Terminal) that we had to visit the French Customs building - this was quite a walk from our boarding lane 1135! Not leaving us much time prior to our Ferry boarding. Had we 'missed' the Skiptax machines and misadvised by 'helpful' local?

Easy to use if you have app really quick to do in airport aswel only downside is in france only 2 machines and everyone didnt have all so had to wait ages for people to scan all their receipts through

Easy to use the app and follow the instructions. Must be done before leaving the country to get the barcode scanned. Received my money less than a day later!

I was very surprised by how easy it was to claim the money back! Super quick in getting my refund as well
