Once you do get support it's fine.

I still can't move money from the account to the card, despite asking Sibstar Support more than once

William was very helpful when I didnt…

William was very helpful when I didnt have any ID like passpoet or driving license for my mother. he helped me through the application on the phone and i am now waiting for the card to arrive

Extremely bad service

I’m sorry to say the whole experience has been frustrating and such hard work from the start. After almost a month we still have no working card and no working app despite emails, messages left on the answer machine and numerous attempts to get through by phone. Customer service is non-existent. I can honestly say this is the worst business I have ever dealt with. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend.

Be careful if you are thinking of using this company

Having tried to contact sibstar since 5th August trying to activate card.72 calls & no reply, eventually contacted alzheimers society who had suggested using sibstar who managed to get them to make contact. Now they state it will take a further 7 days to return funds. Beware anyone thinking of using this company, it's hopeless & certainly does not help elderly.

Simple to use

The card seems to be working well in all establishments. Its easy to set spending limits and transfer funds between the account and the card.
The customer support is excellent.

Good support service team

Good support service team. I was not able to activate a replacement card because the app would not allow the usual log on. I left a message on the Sibstar helpline and the following day received a message back from William at Sibstar who had fixed the issue.

Impossible to contact these people when…

Impossible to contact these people when there is a problem, they have one phone number which they state is also their emergency number but you can never get through and you cannot hold for a response you have to leave a message but they do not call you back , only other option is an email which they say will be responded to in 2 days, completely unacceptable

Thank you Sibstar!

This company is great! I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about, I’ve never had any issues with the card, it’s helped my dad out massively and the customer service are always on it. If ever I have a problem I just call up and they take me through it, just seems like if you don’t ask you don’t get, so always make sure you’re asking for help. The idea is great and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Terrible customer services

We have had a Sibstar card for our mum for a couple of years now, it’s was a bit of a frap getting it started but when it was up and running it was great but for the last few months we have been plagued with problems with the card not working properly, it is impossible to get hold of anyone on the phone, I have emailed but have not gotten any sense, they keep saying the card has been activated but on the app it’s saying activate card? So my mum has had no card for a month now and to top it off last night she got 3 monthly charges taken off her account for July and I can’t get through on the phone to see why! A bit rich when she’s not been able to use her card for a month, it should be a refund she’s getting not being charged extra!

We had a great experience with Sibstar

We had a great experience with Sibstar. The customer service, any time you need to contact them, is very good. The card provided our Dad with independence whilst ensuring his money was safe. We didn't need to use the service for very long in the end because sadly our Dad had to move to a residential home. Closing the account was very straightforward and quick, and money we had on the card was transferred back to Dad's bank account. Very happy with this service.

Fills a huge gap in the market for vulnerable adults

The sign up was a bit faffy, and took a little time and queries to do but once in place everything seems to be running smoothly. The Sibstar account and card fills a huge gap in the market. I am a deputy for my sisters financial affairs and this was the only company that I could find that would allow my sister to have her own card. She has cerebral palsy, and lives in supported living - having her own card gives her independance to go out with her carers to do her own shopping etc, but I can limit the card to keep her financially secure, and I can see all her transactions as they happen - I like that the Sibstar account and card are kept in separate pots - I keep the Sibstar account topped up by standing order and from the account you top up the card - and there is an automated top up facility to keep the card at a minimum daily level.

After a frustrating 4 week period the…

After a frustrating 4 week period the card finally arrived but the app is not showing account number or sort code so unable to transfer money to card, contacted customer services several times who said they would pass it on to the IT Department but 4 days later and still no reply despite sending several emails, not good.

Cannot get hold of Sibstar customer…

Cannot get hold of Sibstar customer service, chatbot is off line, emails ignored and customer service line cuts you off after 15 minutes.
Elderly people who rely on using their card being left out on a limb is not acceptable. I will be looking for an alternative way of keeping my parents secure. Such a shame as there was so much promised.

The response below is a standard response with the same contact details which do not change the customer experience is not good enough. Sibstar really need to improve their customer service experience and fast or they will loose customers. A chat bot off line in office hours, a telephone response which routinely says wait times are 5-6 minutes but drop the call after 15 minutes every time and email going unanswered for weeks is clearly substandard customer service. I would want assurances that this is being addressed and improved. So glad I chose not to invest in this business as it offered recently.

Sibstar is such a relief

Sibstar is such a relief. It has helped so much with my knowing what my mother who has Alzheimers is spending. I am able to limit her funds so she can't book flights to the Bahamas!! Honestly, thank God for Sibstar. There have been one or two teething problems but all in all, very happy. It would be good to be able to contact someone over the weekends and bank holidays as now and then issues have arisen and I have had to wait.

I have been trying to set up a sibstar…

I have been trying to set up a sibstar card for two months now, for my father who has dementia. The app still isn't working, and apparently the card has been sent, but it hasn't arrived 10 days after being notified of the card being sent. Getting hold of customer services is virtually impossible. I have called 10 times today, only to be on hold for 15 minutes, then the line cuts off. This is frustrating for me, but impossible to explain to a dementia patient, why their card is taking so long to arrive. I am extremely dissapointed about a product that sound so good. Also Sibstar, please can you call me back and resolve my issue?

SIBSTAR is great but I dont like being…

SIBSTAR is great but I dont like being told when they wont pay MY money out for a Clickcars competition as they say they disapprove of 'gambling' if Ihave money in my account then I can spend it how I want to??? Apart from that it's easy to access and simple to use.
