The rebranded product of SQR.co — Should we trust them?
This is a the rebranded product & URL of SQR.co — if you were a customer of them under their original name, you'll know what I'm not happy about.
An LTD deal with range of services that significant parts of evaporated with no explanation, communication or any reply to emails about what was going on.
Does their current QRCode product work as promised? Yup. It appears so — it's the same thing more or less as was launched for SQR.co. Yah! Happy days!
Can't complain about that.
However the lack of a contact page, email or channel to reach out to them on and ask questions... makes me deeply wary.
Why?
The biggest let down after stumping up for the LTD to help 'Dave' the owner and creator of SQR.co get out of financial shite that he had emailed subscribers about, was the bundle of cool sub-tools he'd built and provided as part of the LTD bundle under a new brand Affordable.software — vanished from the web.
It was a bit rough around the edges but still a very cool bundle and definitely enough for all of us who paid up to feel good about.
The other thing that still also gives me cause for pause are failed QR Codes I'd created for client work in 2025. A shortlink domain Dave provided as part of the platform vanished and appeared to change hands — so codes stopped working.
We reached out to ask WTF is happening and... silence. Despite mammoth efforts to try and track him down and find out what was happening he just appear to vanish and made no effort to explain what had happened.
So a cautionary tale at best, a risky proposition at worst. You make your own decisions — they why I'm rating this a 3 for now as... who knows if this still 'Dave' or its a new owner or maybe even a completely new business. To their credit, whoever they are they've respected the LTDs for the QRCode / Link generator accounts, and as of now, it appears to work just great.
--EDIT--
I managed to find a 'contact form' link on their documentation site under 'getting started' so.. there's that... but not exactly front and centre in terms of 'findability' so. Yeah. Good luck.
