Not only is the car seat amazing but the customer service is brilliant. We have used the car seat on many trips and have found it very safe, easy to use and convenient to Carry around when travelling. The customer service is absolutely brilliant - 5 stars!!

I have been meaning to write this review for some time. I bought this seat ahead of our summer holiday to Ibiza and struggled a little with the Isofix setting. This was absolutely down to user error (top tip if you have a Volvo the Isofix is set quite high up and you need to align it).
That said the owner James was so helpful and as he lived reasonably close by in London he came over personally to help me fix the seat in correctly.
I can now put the seat in and out very easily, not only is this a great seat for those in and out of vehicles the quality of the materials is great.

Fantastic seat! Makes it so easy to travel with a toddler in and out of taxis.

I don't have the link to review anymore because I wanted to properly use the car seat before reviewing it. I don't have a car in London so bought this particular car seat as it most suited our needs as a frequently travelling family with a toddler.

First, the positives: Beautiful design, great materials, compact and easy to travel with just as described. Toddler loved using it and didn't make any fuss at all. Also fairly easy to take apart and clean.

The only issue we encountered is related to quality of construction. A corner of the outer bag ripped after two flights (happy to provide pictures). Also, one of the buttons used to attach the back flap (which you open to pass the seatbelt through, and holds one of the stretchy bands) fell right off after one use. We screwed it back and it seems to be fine now.

Overall, a good product that I would recommend to other families who travel a lot. Except I would recommend putting other layers of protection over the outer bag when travelling.

We were astonished at how bulky and unsuitable for vehicle changes most car seats seemed to be post newborn stage, and after doing some research, came across the RyRy seat. It genuinely seems to be quite unique in the marketplace, and is exactly what we needed. It’s lightweight, compact and really comfy, while also adhering to all the safety requirements. It is refreshingly straightforward to use - I still got confused at one point, which is no reflection on the product, and the company responded to my query immediately (and on a Sunday!) and provided the most helpful answer, including a video showing me exactly what I needed. Absolutely faultless customer support, and a fantastic car seat that really does seem to exactly meet our needs. Highly recommended!

Originally I was a little skeptical about spending £350 on a car seat particularly when there are alternatives for half the price but I would say it’s worth the extra money and so much so we will be using this as a permanent seat when we’re back home.

It’s an excellent car seat. Our little boy loves it. Incredibly well made and easy to put up and put down. Clever backpack attachments making it easy to transport particularly around the airport. Also fits neatly in to overhead lockers.

We’ve used it both on a hire car and in a number of taxis. All times have been easy and within a minute we had it setup ready for use.

Was a little difficult to figure out how to do some of the putting down but all the videos are available via their Instagram which made it easy to pick up.

Had this for a year now and couldn't recommend it highly enough.

We bough it following an accident when we were hit side on by a van in a taxi. Our little boy wasn't in the car at the time, but a reminder that even through 20mph residential streets, safety comes first.

We don't have a car, but use it extensively for taxi/Uber journeys, when travelling to/from airports, or hiring a car in the UK/abroad. Also works fab on airline seats to keep our little boy sitting still.

Convenient to store, easy to carry with backpack straps, easy to wash covers, and most of all top level of safety.

Bravo!

Love the product and also the follow through from the company personnel. My emails were answered immediately and they couldn’t have been more helpful. I highly recommend that anyone looking to purchase a versatile child’s car seat, takes a look at this product first!

I am in love with this car seat! It is the most easiest car seat I have ever installed and I have tried it in multiple cars and it fits like a glove in them all and taking it out and putting it in is so quick and easy! I even had to put it in the boot one day which would usually take over the whole boot but not this car seat! It’s very comfortable and my daughter HATES the car and she seems a bit happier in this car seat. I won’t lie she still cries but she’s definitely improved 🤣 it’s also so pretty and soft! highly highly recommend!

Love, love, love! The process was easy and smooth, from ordering to receiving our RyRy Scallop! My little boy loves his seat, and honestly, I do too! It's super easy to install, I had no issues! And when he visits his grandparents, drop-offs go much quicker! And the charcoal colour we ordered is beautiful!

Good product - portable and ISO-fix system. The handbook could be easier to read - and better instructions to connect the backpack straps. However, this is the only product that fitted our needs. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love my RyRy Scallop. We are a dual nationality couple and we travel back to the US a lot, and this car seat is so easy to travel with. This is also our main car seat in London when we rent a Zipcar or take an Uber. Takes a bit of practice but once you have it down it's easy to assemble and put away. Amazing customer service as well!

We got the car seat for travelling and love how compact and convenient it is while also being confident our child is safe. We also happily use it as a second car seat at home with grandparents.
It’s really slim fit and easy to get in and out of. It makes our daughter feel like she’s in a grown up seat.
While this seat is more expensive we are happy it was worth the investment.

It's really convenient to travel with, as a backpack and overhead luggage. I think it's good for its real purpose as a secure carseat as well. We did struggle quite a bit to figure out the adjustments of the parts, like how to refold the base connector, so think there needs to be more detailed instructions. It is also a bit heavy but a great product overall.

We bought this car seat as we had a previous bad experience when travelling with our baby and been given a terrible car seat from the rental company. However we loved the scallop so much that it’s become our primary car seat at home for our toddler. It’s a lovely comfortable seat, she is delighted going in it and the fact it folds up to a backpack for travel is the icing on the cake! Highly recommend

We purchased the RyRy Scallop last year, primarily for use in our car here with our 3 year old son. The seat is excellent, versatile and compact, and our son finds it very comfortable.

We recently traveled to New Zealand with it and it shows the build quality of the product as it went on numerous long haul and internal flights as well as being used in several different hire cars, safely returning home without so much as a scratch.

I would absolutely recommend the brand and the product to anyone looking for a portable isofix car seat.

Very cleaver car seat- compact & neat- works a treat as a travel seat or when frequently needing to move between different cars!
