I ordered a sweater I had been looking at since it first released and had been waiting for it to come back into stock for almost a year. I signed up for a notification and purchased it immediately when I received the restock alert. Received a confirmation email.

Five days passed before I got cancelation notice.

This was my first purchase with Doen, and I have never experienced an order being cancelled after receiving an order confirmation. A 'small' gesture of compensation does not really reflect the disappointment of waiting a year for an item to return, finally securing it, and then losing it due to an issue on your side.

What makes this even more frustrating is that the sweater was also available on Net-a-Porter when I placed my order. I chose to purchase directly from your website, trusting that my confirmed order would be fulfilled. By the time I discovered the cancellation, it was sold out there as well.

I now feel like I missed out twice because I trusted a confirmed order. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously affected my confidence in ordering directly from you again.

I appreciate the gesture offered, but I have to be honest that it felt somewhat dismissive given the circumstances. After waiting almost a year, acting immediately on a restock notification, and trusting a confirmed order, the disappointment was not just about the item — it was about the loss of trust in the purchasing experience. The compensation offered did not feel reflective of that.

I've admired DOEN for a long time, so it's genuinely disappointing to write this. I received a cardigan (order #1153416) with a faulty button on the back that had snapped. I contacted customer service over a month ago with photos of the damage and have not received a single reply.

To make matters worse, the only returns option on their website (even for faulty items) is to purchase a label for $39 USD. As an Australian customer that's around $60 AUD, which I don't think is fair to charge when the product arrived damaged. All I asked for was a free returns label or a partial refund, both completely reasonable requests for a faulty item, and I've heard nothing.

The lack of response and the expectation that customers cover return costs for manufacturing faults is really poor, especially at this price point. I'd encourage international shoppers in particular to be aware of this before purchasing.

I ordered the Henri top and while the style is beautiful, the quality is subpar. The arms stretched out and lost their shape after only 2 seasons of wear. I expect a $250 blouse to last longer than that. I reached out to the company and they said there was nothing to be done. Won’t buy from them again.

I purchased Doen’s Rivière dress during their warehouse sale. Online reviews stated it was quite fitted for the bust, so I made sure I ordered the correct size for my measurements. What I received was marked the size they recommended, but the bust from seam to seam was 5.5” smaller than the minimum bust measurement for my appropriate size. I am now left with a final sale item that I can’t wear. That it was too small was a problem with their product, not my judgement. Measurements are objective, not subjective. I reached out to customer service twice via email with no response and so I called. The representative I reached said if it was refunded at all, it would likely be for store credit, not a direct refund. That they would insist on this is unreasonable, as it was not my fault their product was not accurately made to the measurements listed ON THEIR OWN SIZE GUIDE. Based on my own experience at this point, I would not recommend this company.

Doen Ashlynn floral cotton dress is a beautiful lightweight cotton print. However it is so sheer that unless you want all your business seen a slip is a must. I understand the philosophy behind the company but for the price point of the dress a lightweight cotton lining would knock this dress out of the park. It’s not worth the hassle of returning it so I’ll just wear a long slip underneath. Without a slip it’s basically a sheer summer curtain.

My Doen clogs are defective, Quality is very poor! I explained to customer so called “care” that the rubber came off after one wear and the Doen sticker fell off after the third wear. They were stingy and didn’t stand behind their product.After purchasing multiple items over the years, I expected more.

Here’s my issue with Dôen, and I’ve spent thousands of dollars on this brand through Saks and other retailers- I got the red gingham Julia dress from Net-a-porter and fell in love with it. I got the size small and then as soon as I saw the noir gingham in stock on Saks (also in a size small) I snapped it up since I loved the red so much. Well, the noir comes in the mail just before my 4th of July festivities and I take the tags off and pack it without another thought. I get around to trying it on and it is WAY, WAY smaller than my red gingham Julia!! Like if my red one is a true S this is a XXS. I couldn’t even get my arms through the arm holes because they were so tight, and the dress was so short it’s almost obscene unless you wear it exclusively as a swim cover up. I don’t understand why two dresses of the same exact size from a brand of this price point would have such a sizing discrepancy and I have no option to return the dress. Super disappointed and I would like Dôen to please reach out and address this with me!

Very poor customer service, mixing up customer’s items and blaming the customer for their mistakes. Unreliable with refunds. Be warned!

Hello Doen, I am emailing to report an issue with my order 1141953 My order never came in and we looked all around the neighborhood and in the bushes and checked with our neighbors Please help as soon as possible because this was a gift please thank you very much

What pisses me off the most is buying two shirts for just under $500 and then having to pay $13 for shipping because I didn't hit the $500 free-shipping threshold. So, to save $13, I'm supposed to spend another $200 or more? That's insane.

It's exactly how they get you, and it feels incredibly greedy. Their shipping policy really needs to change.

I usually try to buy Doen from other retailers because of this, but this time I had no choice. Nobody else had the colors and sizes I wanted—they were completely sold out everywhere online.

Just a warning for anyone considering buying from them: if you can, buy Doen somewhere else. If not, at least be aware of their shipping policy before you check out.

Wore my daphne dress one time and followed the cared instuctions to clean! The dress bled from the floral design in multiple spots. So disappointed. I have multiple pieces that I do love. But a dress at this price should not do thisX

Gosh the experience of many buyers has been dreadful. I have bought 2 shirts and a dress and I was happy with my items. I did request information about the shirt and I received a response the next day. The brand is VERY expensive and not really worth the money but it was my choice to buy the products. Reading the reviews, I hope the company provided refunds or rectified the issues to those unhappy with their purchases. Had I read the reviews before buying the products, I would not have brought any items. I hope the company has refunded to those unhappy with the items and then I hope the relevant individuals updated their reviews if satisfied. That is the right thing to do. Best wishes

Had an issue with my order that was sorted out but not the best quality items.

This wasn’t my first DOEN purchase but it will definitely be my last. I ordered a jacket for me and one for daughter and the quality was abysmal. The corduroy was already frayed the button holes were not stitched properly so they were frayed too. There were loose threads that hadn’t been sewn in properly. Just really messy especially considering the price point.

When i wanted to return the jackets they first tried to offer me a ridiculously small discount considering the state of the jackets but after waiting for almost a week for an answer i was sent a return label.

CS promised me that the jackets i received were duds so i took a chance and bought new ones.

Those jackets were somehow delayed in transit (so much so that a second order that i placed several days later arrived before the jackets)

At the moment i am still waiting for the jackets to arrive and i didn’t even get a sorry for the mess from cs.

Ich habe Doen im Januar in meinem Urlaub in Los Angeles kennen gelernt (Doen Store im Brentwood Country Mart) und mich sofort in die wunderschönen Kleidungsstücke verliebt. Der Store sah einfach wunderschön aus, und die Verkäuferinnen waren alle so herzlich und hilfsbereit! Zuhause in Deutschland habe ich mittlerweile zwei Mal aus den USA bei Doen etwas bestellt. Nach jeweils drei Tagen kamen die Pakete schon an und alles war sehr liebevoll verpackt! Vielen Dank, Doen!!

I absolutely love Dôen — the brand fits so seamlessly into my everyday life.

I wanted to highlight a recent interaction from the Giving Thanks sale: I had a small hiccup with my order, which I totally understood, and when I reached out, Kieshanna helped right away and was so kind.

Every experience I’ve had with Dôen, whether ordering or asking a question, has been wonderful. I’m truly grateful for their beautiful pieces and heartfelt customer service.

I’m extremely disappointed with this experience and will not be shopping here again. I purchased a pair of pants during your sale, and the very next day the price dropped an additional 20% while the item was still in stock. I reached out to request a price adjustment or to cancel and repurchase, but was told neither was possible.

I work for a small company, and we always go above and beyond to ensure customers feel valued and never regret their purchase. Unfortunately, this situation left me feeling misled and frustrated. At this point, I don’t even want the pants anymore because the experience has been so negative.

I am deeply disappointed about my order, the dress I got is defective, at the top, where there were supposed to be two strings that would make a bow so that the dress would fit on the chest, there is no such system and the top hangs indecently, it cannot be used. I cannot believe this just happened, this is not any dress, it has a price and as such I expect the quality to be identical to the price you put on your dresses. You should be ashamed of selling this. 

Update: Doen replied and are actually taking care to change my order. My fate in humanity is restored.

I have shopped with Doen a few times. The designs are cute but the quality of their clothing is frankly terrible. I followed the washing instructions before I wore a shirt because it smelled like fish when it came out of the package. The shirt shrunk beyond recognition after a hand wash. I did not dry it. I was still within 30 days of my purchase and Doen woud not take the return. Their customer service is terrible and I will never shop there again.

My package arrived missing an item. However, the customer service is unresponsive to calls and texts when I tried multiple times over the past two days. Whenever I call, it just says all the representatives are busy.
