Warning!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! Bought the product Peelerz at the store at Promenade center. The product was defective. Refused to replace or refund.

This company will not accept returns at their facility and will not send you a prepaid return label. They ship things in an oversized carton which cost you more to return the item than the original cost so you end up keeping the item. The customer service isn't like amazon or any other company I've dealt with and I would not recommend them.

the worst, i baught a taba squishy for my 12 year old she was having fun but we realized that it had a topping of fur made of glass and really sharp and it was all ripped we returned it than the employee was so rude she wasn’t friendly and said no more returns she also said all of them is like this and my daughter had little sharp fur in her clothes and was itching so bad i had to spend $38 on a underwear, shirt, and pants never buy this toy $20 in waste.

Way overpriced… I bet your sales would go up if you weren’t price gauging! Gross

I only go in here to make my daughter happy because the upcharge is insane a 19.99 item there reselling for 109.99 that’s crazy all because it’s hard to find I could see 50.00 but Jesus that’s crazy everytime you go on a store you feel like there staring at you waiting for you to break something it’s akward and they pressure you into buying stuff I was ready to checkout and I already had 100 worth of stuff the clerk tells my 6 yr old don’t you want those crystal candies I say no then he tried to pressure my 6 yr old into buying the other crystal candy that is newer needless to say she got them and we walked out the store and threw them right in trash they were so gross 🤢

They “delivered” my order which I did not receive. I contacted them and they told me to make a police report. After reading these other reviews I regret ever ordering from them in the first place. Horrible company and customer service.

My 9 year old was refused service as she could not provide her personnel information.
The staff member took the item she was hoping to buy, cash sale, and put the item back on the shelf and asked my little girl to leave the store.

I went to the Showcase in Devonshire and all i can say is WOW what a neat store!! I was looking for a gift for my father and not only received excellent service but felt at home and not rushed at all. The person who helped me answered all my questions and offered wonderful suggestions-and this was during a busy time! I think her name was Donna-give that gal a raise!! It’s refreshing to see folks are passionate about their products, and this gal was tenfold. I look forward to my next visit! 10/10 i am going to shop here again! What a great experience.

Good morning,

To start, I absolutely love your store(s), I have been to several locations. One of my favourite stores. My kids love it there too.

I have been given an extremely hard time, on more than one occasion at the above-mentioned store.

While I understand the staff are prompted to ask for an e-mail and/or phone number to create an account, I have chosen to decline, for personal privacy reasons.

I am asked these questions every time I purchase something. I patiently decline each and every time.
There is one employee, whom REFUSED to give me his name, that I have difficulty with EVERY single time I am in that store.

This has upset me, and my children in the past, many times.

What occurred on Saturday March 29th 2025, at approximately 1:30 is vile, abusive behaviour by this staff member.
Again, I declined to provide my personal information and indicated that I would simply like to just make my purchase.
He initially REFUSED to sell me the toys I was buying for my kids. REFUSED. He said he can not sell me anything without an account!

There all always other customers in the store, as it's a popular store. This was humiliating and extremely upsetting! I
have witnessed him giving other customers a hard time as well, on numerous occasions.
I have seen customers abandon their merchandise and leave the store because of this mans aggressive and abusive behaviour!

I have 4 kids, and I ALWAYS manage to find something in that store for each of their birthdays, as well as Christmas. I am not a one-time customer.

I told him I was going to report his behaviour, and go public with this. He stated "I have no problem with that"

Usually, I avoid the store during the times he is there, OR at least until someone else is there to assist with purchases.
Because his behaviour is so aggressive, I don't feel comfortable entering the store when he is there.

I am tired feeling scared and feeling threatened to enter the store if he is there. This needs to stop. This is harassment.
Someone needs to speak with him and advise him that he does NOT have the right to treat people this way, let alone paying customers!

I will be very clear, I am NOT looking to receive a gift cert, or anything free. I am seeking to put a stop to his abusive behaviour.
I should not have to feel fear when entering any of your store locations. I should be able to shop harassment free, and without feeling fear when it is time to go to the cash register.

If this is not the correct contact to deal with this issue, please advise me as to where I can send this complaint to.

I sincerely want to resolve the matter at this level, before having to file an harrassement case against him, by extension, Showcase.

I will double check the receipt when I get home, and update you on the exact time that this took place.

Thank you very much for your time, and I appreciate any help you can offer to resolve this, and put a stop to this man's behaviour.

Negative Employee Review for Showcase Stores

I worked at Showcase Stores, and unfortunately, my experience was not positive. While the company promotes itself as a fun and trendy workplace, I found several serious issues that future employees should be aware of.
• Poor Management: Leadership was often [e.g., unorganized, unprofessional, unsupportive], making it difficult to succeed in the role.
• Unfair Work Expectations: Employees were expected to [e.g., work long hours with little support, meet unrealistic sales quotas, with little appreciation.

The customer service is very poor.
I ordered a dermarejuv led light therapy and they used uniuni carrier to deliver my item. However, i never received this item although it said delivered, i contacted both showcase amd uni uni and they refused to reship, refund me. Theh told me to file a police report, in the end my loss. They haven't even try to help me out abit. Showcase said its not their problem once its been delivered. Very poor service, ill never shop from showcase again. Never had this experience with any stores before.

Ordered beginning of Dec. Where the website indicated the parcel will arrive before Christmas despite Canada Post strike as they use other shipment methods. Tracking received for Fleet Optics and tracking has never updated. Emailed countless times for a refund end of December. No longer responds with default answer saying they are actively tracking lost parcels and will only respond once they locate them. Never ever shop with them, no items, no refund.

The company cancels preorders to resell at scalper prices. Orders should be honored, unfortunately those that work here have no honor!

Ordered a collectors item, the box was destroyed when I received it as they ship it in a thin plastic one ply envelope without even padding. Stupid. Showcase doesn’t care, says will exchange item if there are defects. This item is sold out now so how will it be exchanged. If there is a manufacturing defect, they will accept “return”. THIS ISNT A MANUFACTURING DEFECT, IT’S YOUR IDIOTIC PACKAGING THAT LEAD TO ME RECEIVING A DESTROYED BOX.

I ordered a pair of sneaker design slippers for a child as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, Showcase sent the wrong pair, which initially seemed like an honest mistake. When I reached out to Showcase via the email address provided, I included photographic evidence of both my order confirmation and the item received, demonstrating that they were different.

Despite this evidence, the customer service team insists Showcase is not at fault because the SKU number matches, even though the images used to advertise the item are inaccurate. SKU numbers have no impact on the customer experience, as there's no way for consumers to know if an incorrect photo has been linked to a specific SKU, this in itself is an act against the Competition Act as businesses are not permitted to use illustrations that are different from the product being sold.

Furthermore, the customer service team continues to direct me to a link for filing a return request. I have submitted this request twice and received automated emails stating they would respond within 1-2 days. However, it has now been 8 days since my initial submission.

It is against the law to make materially false or misleading representations to promote a product, service or business interest. A representation is “material” if the general impression it conveys leads someone to take a particular course of action, like buying or using a product or service. A “representation” refers to any marketing material, including online and in-store advertisements, direct mail, social media messages, promotional emails, and endorsements, among other things. Insisting that there is no issue, despite photographic evidence showing that the goods delivered do not match the purchased items, constitutes a violation of the Competition Act:

Section 52 (1) “No person shall, for the purpose of promoting, directly or indirectly, the supply or use of a product or for the purpose of promoting, directly or indirectly, any business interest, by any means whatever, knowingly or recklessly make a representation to the public that is false or misleading in a material respect.”

Paragraph 74.01(1)(a) A person engages in reviewable conduct who, for the purpose of promoting, directly or indirectly, the supply or use of a product or for the purpose of promoting, directly or indirectly, any business interest, by any means whatever, (a) makes a representation to the public that is false or misleading in a material respect;

my package, which was supposedly delivered but wasn't, they neither refunded nor sent me a new one, even though I sent several emails, they just told me to check in the mail room or around the building,so disappointed

Buyers be aware!!!!! I ordered 8 items and all of them were in stock so I paid in full. Received a confirmation email saying all items have been delivered. However I only received 2/8 items. I reached out and was told the other 6 items will be shipped on a later date. I wait another 5 days and still nothing! So I reached back again and was told due to the warm weather they are holding off on shipping my order. I emailed back and said I would like to receive them as soon as possible and they promised to ship them soon. Now another 5 days have past and still nothing. They charge you for the items and keep giving you excuses in order to buy time to ship your items. Terrible customer service.

If I could give a 0 I would! I bought a scrubwiz to help with cleaning due to being disabled and not having strength to clean. I tried it and it has no strength whatsoever and asked a question about charging and saw that I was right it won't charge therefore defective. I went back to the store in person and she said oh it's working so you can't return it. It's not working and won't charge but she seems to think it is which is a lie. So I went to do a review to warn others not to buy it and they won't post the review. So like someone else here said their reviews are not to be trusted either only post the good ones or they make fake reviews or both. I will NOT trust this store for anything anymore!

I bought a Dr. Ho. Seat massager. The girl said I should purchase a warranty with it as it protects if something goes wrong for three years. After one year the fabric started to tear. I went to get it replaced and they said. We don’t sell them any more but I can have a store credit . I’m 76 years old and can’t use anything from this store. If they had told me this before I spent the 280 dollars. I would not have bought. It’s like a scam.

Don't trust their online reviews. Firstly, they sort reviews by the highest rating first by default, so you just see all the positive reviews first. That is, if they're even real reviews.

I submitted a negative review for an item I bought citing its design flaw, and that review was never published. I contacted their customer service dept. and they said they would look into it but nothing ever happened. I submitted the review two more times and followed up twice with their customer service and just got the same generic "we've forwarded this to the department that deals with this" response both times.

Clearly they don't care about the authenticity and trustworthiness of their web site. To top it all off, the last review for this item was published in July (it is now December). Their review system is broken and they don't care.

How can you trust a site like this?
