Just purchased this tool and after a straight forward assembly I found that I could not lock off the spindle arbor to unscrew the nut to assemble the blade on. After contacting customer services they did not have a clue and I had to wait for the technical team to make contact I dfound that the arbor lock mechanism was missing from production. I have lost a days work because of this. Not happy
"Excellent Value and Outstanding Customer Service"
This was my first purchase from Evolution Tools, and I have to say I’m extremely impressed. As a professional carpenter and joiner, I’ve been considering investing in a track saw for a while. I looked at several other brands, but most were far too expensive. Evolution offers unbeatable value without sacrificing quality.
The saw itself is excellent—well-built, precise, and reliable. I did run into a minor issue, but it was entirely my fault for not reading the instructions properly. When I reached out to customer service, I was blown away by how helpful they were. Michelle Pickering responded promptly and provided clear, informative advice that solved my problem right away.
For the price, the Evolution track saw is unmatched, and the support team makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!
Awful
Awful! Never buy Evolution tools again. I bought a table saw. The removable plate in the saw bed surrounding the blade is at a lower height to the bed of the saw. This means as the end of the wood being cut gets closer to the blade it drops into the void and gets a lot of kick back and vibration. According to customer services it's designed for long lengths only! But has only a short distance of bed after the blade. Then they try to sell you a zero tolerance plate for just under £30.00. ALL IN ALL! POOR PRODUCT AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN AND THE SAW IS GOING BACK TO THE SHOP. How did this get to market in the first place. Why not fit a flush plate from build? So it's safe to use with short pieces?

I wouldnt rate the customer service at this company. I rang to order a spare part and spoke to Michelle who was unfriendly and unhelpful. I was directed to their website, surely she could have helped me with this whilst I was on the telephone but she was unwilling to do so.

Disappointing customer service!
Firstly let me clarify that I have always used Evolution tools and found them to be good value although lacking some of the features that their competitors enjoy.
I ordered a 110v circular saw kit, it arrived relatively quickly but it was a 230v variant.
I contacted Evolution and unfortunately found that the customer service was as lacking as the features on their products.
The guide rails were also poorly finished with the sacrificial edges already peeling off.
They offered to exchange the tool as a gesture of goodwill which I found unacceptable as it was their error not mine. They collected the saw and then informed me that the 110v tool was out of stock until July, I then informed them about the guide rails and asked them to collect them and cancel the order in total.
Their responses were curt and direct sadly lacking any hint of an apology.
I will not buy any evolution products in the future and will buy from their competitors who have learnt how to treat their customers.

SAV Pas au top
Un peu déçu du SAV. J'ai commandé une scie à onglet pour 350euros neuve. La machine est arrivée dans un carton déjà bien abimé, je l'ai signalé au service client et au transporteur. J'ai alors ouvert le colis et j'ai été surpris de voir des impacts sur pas mal de composants qui ne sont pas du au transport, comme si la machine a déjà été utilisée. J'ai alors contacté le service client qui m'a répondu qu'elle était bien neuve et que ce n'était pas possible. J'ai donc décidé de la montée. Heureusement elle fonctionne bien mais je me retrouve avec une machine non neuve qui a déjà servi (qui doit surement être une reconditionnée). J'aurais aimé avoir un petit geste du service client.
Scie a onglet avec défaut, SAV pas professionnel
Je déconseille fortement cette scie à onglet si vous voulez couper avec précision, SAV non professionnel! Après 1 seul utilisation pour couper de l'acier avec la lame prévue à cet effet, on remarque que la coupe n'est pas droite du tout. Cela pourrait s'expliquer par un défaut de la machine, car la vis qui tient la lame ne tourne pas rond (est excentré.). En coupant également une simple bande de mélaminé, on voit bien qu'il y a un problème sur la coupe. Ayant contacté immédiatement le SAV, ils m'ont demandé de renvoyer la machine en précisant qu'ils me la remplaceraient par une neuve. Après plus d'un mois d'attente, on m'a renvoyé la machine défectueuse en me disant qu'ils avaient amélioré le phénomène, mais au final rien n'a été fait et ils ne m'ont pas remplacé l'appareil défectueux comme convenu. Malgré mes diverses relances téléphoniques et par mail, plus aucun retour de leur part. Je déconseille cette marque au vu du suivi derrière !

A company deserving recognition.
Sometimes ordering spares for tools can be unbelievably difficult, to the point sometimes where a company doesn't even bother replying to your contact!
Not so with Evolution, the reply to my initial email was speedy, friendly and professional, my contact (Michele) even emailed me the same day to say the replacement part would be posted out that day.
Oh, if only all companies were like Evolution.
I will certainly be looking to them when other tools come up for replacement.

Great Customer Service
I ordered a replacement part for my mitre saw. It was despatched via Yodel. Three consecutive days I was advised of a 2 hour delivery slot - non of which materialised. After contacting yodel via a chat line with no satisfactory result I rang Evolution customer service for help. After a brief conversation I was advised that they would sort the problem with the carrier and a replacement would be sent the next day (Saturday) by an alternative courier service. I received the tracking information very soon after. Well done Lauren and the customer service team.

Disappointing Quality and Lack of Support
I recently purchased the Evolution R255SMSDB, hoping for a reliable cutting solution for my DIY projects. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.
After just five cuts into 30x30x2mm mild steel box section, the blade became dull and rendered the saw virtually useless. I expected better durability, especially considering the price point of this tool. However, what truly exacerbated the issue was the lack of support from Evolution Power Tools.
When I reached out to customer service seeking assistance to exchange the blade, I was shocked to learn that the blades are not guaranteed and are not covered under any form of warranty. This lack of coverage for such a fundamental component of the tool is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the company's commitment to customer satisfaction.
Despite my attempts to explain the premature failure of the blade, I was met with indifference and refusal to help further. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and hesitant to trust Evolution Power Tools in the future.
In summary, the Evolution R255SMSDB fell far short of my expectations in terms of both performance and customer support. I cannot recommend this product to others, as it simply does not deliver on its promises of quality and reliability.
Pros:
Initial cutting performance was satisfactory.
Cons:
Blade dulled after very minimal use.
Lack of support and assistance from customer service.

Missing part but issue now resolved
Rage-5S delivered with a small part missing. I raised the issue with Evolution. Something went a bit wrong with the comms at their end at first, with a follow-up email from me going missing after their initial fast response, but once that was sorted out they resolved matters very quickly, which was much appreciated.

Customer service….how it should be
It is extremely rare for me to post reviews, however……
I have purchased 3 items from Evolution Tools recently.
A disc cutter, a mitre saw and a mitre saw stand and have been very pleased with each product.
Unfortunately the company is reliant on carriers to deliver their products. Particularly with the promise of next business day delivery.
When DHL mislaid an item that was due for a delivery on a Wednesday I was faced with losing 4 days of working on a project. Really frustrating given recent weather conditions.
By Thursday afternoon it was clear that DHL had dropped the ball. In stepped Evolution customer service.
After a couple of phone calls David arranged to send a replacement. I noted that this was after their normal hours and their warehouse also helped by dispatching it after the normal cut off time.
I received the packed the next day ! Just in time for the weekend.
A big thank you to David, Ruth and Michelle in customer service for their help and professionalism.
A refreshing experience in a climate of increasing reliance on online retailing.
Expediency
Although we initially ordered an incorrect part, the correct replacement was identified by the evolution staff and dispatched in short order. Impressive and helpful

However the battery developed a fault. The charge indicator failed. I contacted Evolution. No problem they said. They sent out a new battery.

Easy to navigate website, good prices and excellent value for money. Bought a 216mm TCT mitre saw in 2016 and it cut more than I expected it would. Sadly the motor gave up and spares had run out so I went for a new one. Great communication from Evolution and would thoroughly recommend Evolution Power Tools.
