I had been thinking about getting a hair transplant for quite a while, but I was honestly very careful when it came to choosing a clinic. I spent a lot of time researching different clinics, reading people’s experiences, and following hair transplant posts on Reddit. I actually first came across the name Serena Health Istanbul here on Reddit. After seeing their name a few times, I decided to do my own research and compare them with other clinics before making a decision.
In my case, the front of my hairline was quite empty, so one of my biggest priorities was getting a natural-looking hairline. I didn’t just want as much density as possible. I wanted the hairline to look natural and to blend properly with the rest of my hair as it grows.
A total of 3,400 grafts were implanted during my procedure. Around 400 of those grafts were single-hair grafts, which were mainly used around the front hairline to create a more natural transition.
That detail was particularly important to me because I don’t think the number of grafts alone determines whether a transplant looks good. Especially when it comes to the hairline, I think the correct use and placement of single-hair grafts makes a big difference. I really wanted to avoid having a hairline that looked too straight, dense, or artificial.
Before the procedure, we discussed the hairline and the areas that needed to be covered. I made it clear that having a natural-looking hairline was more important to me than simply maximizing the number of grafts.
The procedure itself was actually more comfortable than I expected. I was naturally a little nervous at first because, after all, you’re trusting someone with your own hair and it’s hard not to wonder how everything is going to turn out. But as the procedure went on, I became much more relaxed. The team was attentive throughout the process and explained what was being done.
I’m still not at the stage where I can judge the final result, and I already knew that a hair transplant is a process that requires patience. That being said, I’m very happy with how things look so far. Especially the shape of the new hairline, which is looking quite natural to me at this stage. Everything seems to be progressing well, so now I’m just waiting to see how the growth develops over the coming months.
For anyone considering a hair transplant and researching clinics, I would definitely recommend not making a decision based solely on a few Instagram photos. I personally found it much more useful to read real people’s experiences on Reddit, compare different results, and then do additional research on the clinics myself. That research process was a big part of why I ultimately chose Serena Health Istanbul.
I just wanted to share my experience so far. I’ll probably post another update once the result becomes more established, as I think it could be useful for anyone else who has a similar situation, especially people with a more empty frontal hairline who are looking for a natural result.
