If you want to know the truth about Sellcar just read the negative reviews and the precise coincidence of the victims' experiences. This company is a scam and its employees are trained to lie and lure you into false pretences. Even the owner's own daughter works for him and is programmed to lie. They tried to bully my 90 y o father into "selling" his Mercedes for over 4k less than they themselves valued it at. Sellcar then "argued" my father had overvalued it (he had never mentioned any figure, not even to me). If you engage with this company be prepared to listen to lie upon lie- that is how they operate. Both my father and I had teo weeks of our lives hijacked by five people lying to us. In any civilised country this company would be closed down and the owner investigated. This is why they must be reported to the TSA. The process they set out at the beginning never appears. The owner's daughter apologised for five days running at the terrible service before they changed their story and claimed the buyer had "pulled out". They bind you to a contract which they then fail to sign, wanting it both ways. There is no sale. The pages of their low-life behaviour would take hours to detail. Sellcar will sap your faith in humanity and make you miserable that people are capable of such sleazy behaviour, even in front of colleagues and family. I have all details with the TSA , my MP and the professional body this sham is affiliated to. The owner, instead of running an honest business, spends his time trying to refute victims' reviews and then character-assassinates them on trustpilot. Avoid this company like the plague and report it, along with a growing number who already have, to the TSA. They should be shut down. The "positive reviews" have a remarkable lack of detail.

From start to finish, it was a very good experience. Mike came to our house to view and value the car, which was then put to market there and then, so within an hour or so, we had a firm price and sale agreed. Mike was honest, efficient and courteous - a pleasure to deal with. Sellcar met my requirements of a quick turnaround and the car was collected 2 days later. It was a very easy and stress free transaction.

offered great price but cant sell a car on finance unless it has 20% equity company policy apparently. Stupid company tbh.

The Representative that came to my home was Polite and understanding .Explained everything well and made me feel happy with the offer after Disgusting it. Staff on the phone also were understanding A good Experience all round. WJ19kHZ

I am in 2 minds about them and their agent a case of do you like Marmite. The agent was extremely polite and talked a good story. However when it came to the Auction he kept saying its at a price and gradually creeping up until it seemed to stagnate.He then asked what was the Lowest price I would take went outside and very shortly returned to say he had got a buyer at the Lowest Price. I was fed up to be honest with the whole charade and said I would take it. At the same time I had been pestered by another company to whom I had given a sum £1000 higher than the Lowest offer I would accept. 2 days later and without my knowledge or approval put my car up on their Auction site and remarkably sold the car for the amount I had asked for prior to selling with Sell Car. So I leave you to ponder was the agent a I like Marmite or I do not like, I am not sure myself. What I will say is that SellCar came up with the money very quickly. I am also suspicious of companies who constantly contact you to rate them rather than to let you decide yourself
