Delayed pickup
Was given a time frame between 12 and 1700 to be told in the afternoon it would be 100 hours all fine but not to show up till 18.10 other than that it was all good ,speedy payout

Didn’t stick to Agreed Price Even Though no Changes made
I put in my car details online and was offered a price that I accepted and arranged a Collection date.
I was then sent a text message asking me to follow a link to complete questions about the vehicle which I answered. Upon submitting this confirmation the price actually went up by £120 so I was thrilled with this.
The evening before pick up I was called and told that I would not be getting the original price offered and was offered nearly £250 less than was promised. I couldn’t understand this as nothing had changed since my online submission.
I told them to cancel the deal as I felt like I was being conned into accepting a much lower price than was originally offered at the last minute. When I queried why the price had changed dramatically for no good reason I was just told that the original price was an automated price online and that they could not pay this for my car.
Went on a competitors site and was given a no quibble price that was higher than car.co.uk and they paid me instantly without even seeing the car.
I would not use this company as my experience with them has been wholly negative and they completely wasted my time.

Customer service is non existent
Sold my car through these, the driver came to collect and accidentally took the entire v5c. I now cannot cancel my tax or register my car sold. I contacted car.co.uk for help and they have ignored me. Emailed 3 times and requested a call back, heard nothing.

Just to reassure you, once your car is collected, it’s processed and safely destroyed, and the DVLA are automatically notified as part of that process.
This means you don’t need to contact them or worry about cancelling the tax or registering the sale — it’s all taken care of in the background.
Regarding the V5C, we understand how concerning it can feel if it’s been taken in full, but please rest assured it won’t cause any issues on your end given the above.
If there’s any money still owing to you, that will be sent out via cheque through Royal Mail.
