Wrong Item Delivered & Extremely Poor Post-Sale Handling
I ordered a Hermès Picotin Cargo listed and confirmed as Gold Hardware (GHW), however I received Palladium Hardware (PHW) instead. The discrepancy was later acknowledged by the company via both WhatsApp and email correspondence.
What followed was a highly disappointing post-sale experience involving delayed responses, inconsistent communication, conflicting explanations regarding sourcing and logistics, and prolonged back-and-forth discussions without a completed resolution.
Throughout the process, I repeatedly had to reference the company’s own Terms & Conditions in order to clarify basic consumer rights relating to items delivered incorrectly or with qualitative differences. Despite the mismatch being acknowledged, the handling of the matter became unnecessarily complicated and exhausting for what should have been a straightforward luxury purchase experience.
I also raised concerns immediately upon receiving the item, including the condition of the packaging and presentation, yet the process remained unresolved for an extended period of time.
At the time of writing this review, the item remains unused in its original box pending a proper resolution.
I would strongly advise future customers to carefully review the company’s Terms & Conditions, keep all communication documented, and ensure they are fully comfortable with the level of after-sales support and dispute handling before making a high-value purchase.
