Hi Rob,

Thanks very much for leaving a review!

We're delighted to hear that you're enjoying the performance of your new Elan 40 SuperLight+ carbon road wheels!

We're very confident that our wheelsets offer the very best quality, performance and durability at these price points.

Regarding the minor weight discrepancy, the total wheelset weight that we provide on our website does not include the weight of the tubeless rim tape or the tubeless valves.

The listed weight is just for the wheelset itself, and this is standard practice within the bike wheel market.

We're also very pleased to hear that your Continental GP5000S TR 28mm tyres inflate to the width that you like.

The Elan SL+ wheels have a slightly wider internal width on the front rim (24mm up front and 21mm at the rear). This ensures that you'll enjoy excellent aerodynamics when running wider tyre widths and increased comfort when riding on rough/damaged roads.

We hope you continue to enjoy your wheels for many years to come, Rob, and as always, please get back in touch if you need any assistance or have any questions about our wheelsets.

Our email address is team@scribecycling.com or you can jump on a live chat with us.

Thanks again,

Dan M

Hi Pat,

Thanks for taking some time out to leave a review.

It's great to hear you love how your new CORE SuperLight+ 50 Disc Carbon Wheelset looks.

We're confident that you'll love how they perform even more!

I'm sorry to hear that you encountered an issue when fitting your cassette.

It's extremely rare for any of our customers to experience component fitment issues, and I'm pleased to hear our technical support team were able to guide you on how to install your cassette.

As always, Pat, if you require any further assistance or have any questions about our wheelsets, please jump on a live chat or drop us an email at team@scribecycling.com

Thanks again,

Dan M

Hi Mark,

Thanks very much for taking the time to write a review.

We're delighted to hear that you're happy with the quality of your new Race Disc brake alloy wheelset.

I'm sorry to hear you feel disappointed with the delivery time. I can see that we hand-built and dispatched your wheels within 2 days of your order coming in back in June 2025.

We dispatched your wheels on a FedEx Express delivery service, which regularly delivers on a next-day basis within Ireland, but unfortunately this is not guaranteed. I can see your wheels were delivered within 2 working days.

I understand that you wanted your wheels for an event in the same week that you ordered them. However, since we hand-build all wheels to order (and it's not a process we like to rush), dispatch takes 1-3 working days.

I'm sure that you can also appreciate that we can have no control over FedEx's delivery times.

Hopefully, now that you've had a chance to ride with your wheels, you've been really enjoying them and the wheels themselves deserve a 5-star review!

If you ever need any assistance or have any questions about our wheels, Mark, please don't hesitate to jump on a live chat or drop us an email at team@scribecycling.com.

Thanks again,

Dan M

Hi there,

Thanks very much for your feedback and kind words, we really appreciate this.

Once again, we're very sorry for the unexpected and extremely rare problem that we had with our last remaining stock of the wheelset that you ordered.

Please let me assure you that this issue is most unusual. All of our stock goes through rigorous QC checks by our manufacturing partners before the individual wheel components are shipped to us for hand assembly here in Belfast.

We have extremely strict QC standards ourselves too, and on this occasion, we found a very minor surface irregularity in one of our rims. We care about and respect our customers, and we take great pride in only dispatching hand-built wheelsets that are strong, durable, ready to ride and in perfect condition.

As you mentioned, this meant we had to offer you an alternative wheelset, but we totally understand that this alternative wasn't quite right for you this time.

We hope that we can get you rolling on a different set of our Scribe or BEST wheels in the future.

As always, if you need any further assistance or need to check anything about our wheels, please jump on a live chat or drop us an email at team@scribecycling.com

Thanks again,

Dan M

Hi Werner,

Thanks for leaving a review and for your kind words!

I can see that you made your order during a Black Friday promotional period and that, due to extremely high demand, you had to wait longer than normal for your wheels to be hand-built and dispatched.

I'm pleased to hear that despite this delay, you were satisfied with our response and actions to resolve this as soon as possible.

We'd love to hear from you again after you've had a chance to ride with your wheels, Werner, as we're very confident they will deserve a 5-star review too!

Thanks again and as always, if you need any assistance or have any questions about our wheels, please jump on a live chat or drop us an email at team@scribecycling.com
