This is just a con. Definitely not a British based company
Huge size sent.
Ludicrous initial offer to put right of "you keep it & I'll send you the right size if you pay only the £11 postage
When challenged this has just turned into a I'll check with others & see what's gone wrong exchange

I absolutely agree with the reviews, I ordered what I thought was an embroidered jacket and I received a poor quality jacket (if I can call it that) with an embroidery print. The material was thin, cheap and ugly, absolutely awful. I e-mailed the company and yes, I am told I have to pay for the return to China at my own cost or get a full credit to purchase some other piece of rubbish

If I could give it a minus score I would . Dress arrived . Looks nothing like the picture on line. Shoddy, poor material. Can’t see where to return it as they don’t reply . I have been conned out of £35. Absolutely disgusting. Don’t touch them with a barge pole.

Sadly a scam. Paid £40 for a very poor quality item that was not as advertised. Took ages too. Do not use them.

All sizes were too small. Dress was 26 inches in waist when I ordered a.size 18. I am 44 inches in waist. Reckon dress was an 8! But declaring extra large! They don't do returns except to China which costs more than purchases and inferior quality material on one item. All were far far too small. I spent £120 and they offered me ,£34 back. Parcels took a month to arrive! Very dissatisfied. Don't touch them !

Avoid this company. Item took 15 days to arrive. Wrong size. Poor quality. Different colour. Cheap fabric and nothing like the photo. No zip, no lining. Poorly sewn.

Their advertising makes it look like you’re buying from a reputable London Store.
Watchdog (BBC) are investigating similar companies.
DO NOT use this company unless you want to return items to China at your own expense including tracking. Believe me you would want to return everything !!
Claim they’ve been established for decades but only started Jan 2026 - prob under several different names.

Incredibly but quality, more like a sack with sleeves than a dress. How I wish I’d taken notice of the reviews.
You’ve been warned

Do not use. Garments bear no resemblance to those featured on website. Dresses are shapeless, material is cheap polyester, workmanship is poor, puckered seams, etc etc etc Returns are impossible, contrary to advertising. This company should be stopped from trading. Contravening trade description act

Item nothing like description/foto- very poor/cheap material & stitching appalling. Not correctly sized either. Poor packaging & quite long delivery although frequent computed type generated update. Have requested a refund but not holding my breath after reading g others experiences.

Conned by sale prices which take ages to arrive and then need to returned to China at high prices. Easier to sell on Vinted than return! Sizes are also very very small - prompting the need to return. Branded London which is a con so be warned! Never use them again.

Do NOT go anywhere near this company. It’s a complete con. It purports to be a British company but is not. The clothes are cheap and nasty, made of horrible fabric, and you have to send returns to China at extortionate cost.

Sophie & James clothing company on Facebook show an elegant couple standing outside a London boutique..Which cons you into thinking it's a quality clothing company. No it's not.All there items take forever to arrive from CHINA.The quality of materials is awful at a very high price.. Returns only to CHINA.Please dont get conned

After an issue with my first pair of sandals, Emma from Customer Service was so kind and helpful and made sure everything was sorted. I received credit and ordered another pair of shoes, which arrived and fit perfectly this time! I really appreciate Emma’s kindness and the excellent customer service throughout the whole situation. Do not use this company!!
Bought a dress in June, cost £40 awful quality, could not wear it.
They said keep it and order something else.
I did and it never arrived, they said it had.
They sent another and it was not the same dress as ordered.
They would not give me a refund and said I would have to pay to return it to them.
We are now at the end of Aug!
They said they will give me £11.99!
So fed up with them I took the £11.99 .
PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!

Dress is cheap quality fabric and poorly stitched. Size is around 16 when I ordered 10/12. It comes from China and no such shop as Sophie and James in London. Returns are expensive. Would like a refund .

The clothes were fine and the customer support too, but the clothes are sent to and from China - certainly internationally and when I went to return an item, I was told the cost was international shipping at my expense in excess of £15. I had only bought as I thought it was a London-based company so beware if you are not 100% sure you will like the items.

I found shopping here to be effortlessly done. The web page is really friendly to use and the notifications for shipment provided me with adequate information during the shipping period. An extremely trustworthy brand.

All the items that I was sent were the exact ones that appeared in the online pictures. The colors are true to life, and the stitching is flawless, which indicates a high level of detail.

The trousers that I purchased are very stylish and durable, with a good cut. I can't think of a better-fitting menswear. This is highly recommended for quality essentials.
